Official Images of the Air Jordan 1 Mid New Love 2017 Retro Are In

air-jordan-1-mid-new-love-2017-retro-official-photos-01

We’re all currently focused on how we’re grabbing a pair of the Royal 1s this weekend, but there’s more good news on the horizon for you Air Jordan 1 lovers out there: the Air Jordan 1 Mid “New Love” will be getting a proper retro ten years after it originally dropped in 2007 in the not-so-distant future.

The Air Jordan 1 Mid has always seemed like the unloved stepchild of the Air Jordan 1 line. The lows have always been a great summer staple recently revamped by the OG rendition getting prime Wings placement on the heel. The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG of course, features all of the 1985 original branding complete with ‘Nike Air’ stamps of approval on the tongue tag and more, and Jordan Brand continues to bring our favorite original colorways back in an act of valor. But what about the Mid? Today one of the best releases in the mid-top’s history gets an official look featuring that head-turning Wu-Tang Clan-esque finish of Black and Varsity Maize while Jumpman branding returns to the heel and tongue.

There is a bit of difference here though when compared to a preview from not so long ago: that ‘Wings’ ankle collar branding no longer features that transparent plastic pendant stitched into place that was found on the original 2007 release and instead, the ‘Wings’ get the traditional stamp of approval like so many AJ1 Highs today. We still don’t have an official Release Date yet, but check out a full detailed look at the Jordan 1 Mid New Love below and stay tuned for more updates right here on Sneaker News.

Air Jordan 11 Low Heiress Releasing In May

jordan-11-low-gg-heiress-may-2017

Summertime always signals the return of everyone’s favorite patent leather gem in low-top form in the Jordan 11 Low. Not only will we be treated to the likes of the Jordan 11 Low UNC and a Birmingham Barons-inspired colorway, but the Jumpman will also bring some heat exclusive to their grade school girls imprint better known as the “Heiress Collection” with the introduction of the Air Jordan 11 Low Heiress out May 25th.

This pair is notable for a number of reasons. Not only does the Cordura mesh upper get swapped out for a synthetic suede in dark grey for an everyman’s take on the Jordan 11 Suede, but the patent leather mudguard also gets a revamp featuring different variations of grey much like the upcoming Barons 11 Lows do. We’re still waiting on more photos of this grade school exclusive Jordan 11 Low so stay tuned for more updates right here on Sneaker News.
