Later this year, a reported Air Jordan 6 colorway is dropping that will borrow the colors of the world’s most famous sports drink, Gatorade. Decked out in green, orange, and white, the retro is hopefully going to show us what it’s like to Be Like Mike, the famous Gatorade commercial were MJ is seen wearing a pair of Carmine 6s. In an era where virtually everything related to MJ is getting a tribute sneaker, whether it be movies to shattered backboards to Chinese New Year, what’s most amazing about the Air Jordan 6 Gatorade is not that we’re finally getting a sneaker that references one of Michael Jordan’s most famous endorsement deals, but that it took so long to come to fruition. Maybe because green, orange, and white on an Air Jordan 6 sounds like a great idea, until you actually have to execute.

It’s certainly taken a turn for the colorful over the past few years, but many of the most talked about and beloved Air Jordan 6 colorways have skewed towards simplicity over the flash. Not that the Air Jordan 6 All-Star colorway is bad by any means, but there’s why that retro continues to drop in price but other more sedated drops like this past weekend’s Air Jordan 6 Alternate garners more attention. With a green, orange, and white palette, we’ve already seen two potential ways the shoe could go. So in this week’s edition of NBA 2K17 Kicks, we’re taking a look at the many ways the potential Air Jordan 6 can go right and the ways it can go oh-so-wrong.

In addition to the Air Jordan 11 Low Columbia, this Air Jordan 11 Low Barons consists as a brand new colorway of the basketball sneaker, which is part of JB’s S/S 2017 lineup.

Reflective of MJ?s days with the Birmingham Barons in 1994 ? a minor league baseball team and Double-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox major-league club ? the silhouette sports a subdued color palette of black, metallic silver and white.

The sneaker?s focal point is directed at the patent leather overlays, rendered in ash grey, while tonal black nubuck comprises the remainder of its upper. Other details such as the number ?23? and Jumpman logos are embroidered on the heel tab, while it’s topped off with a crisp white sole unit.

Priced at $175, this pair is set to debut at select JB and Nike retailers starting May 27th.

Jordan Brand’s Holiday 2017 lineup is already expected to include the AJ 3 Black Cat, AJ 3 Katrina, AJ 13 Altitude, AJ 11 Gym Red and more, while this brand new variation of the Air Jordan 12 Bordeaux is suggested to be part of JB’s Fall/Winter 2017 collection.

While images of the purported pair haven’t been leaked yet, a rendering of how the silhouette might look like is revealed. The sneaker is expected to incorporate a burgundy nubuck upper with leather overlays along its forefoot, while it’s adhered atop a cream-colored rubber sole unit. Finally, metallic silver accents are applied for its upper eyelets.

With its suggested retail price listed at $190, you can expect to find this pair at select JB and Nike retailers starting October 2017.

Following the release of the Air Jordan 13, Jordan Brand?s ?Black Cat? theme will continue this Holiday 2017, as the Air Jordan 3 Black Cat is also scheduled to make a return this year after a ten year hiatus.

Originally released back in 2007, the basketball sneaker is suggested to mimic its exact OG counterpart, although, it’s still unclear. However, the sneaker will reportedly flaunt a stealthy all-black finish throughout its entire build, while the model’s signature elephant print motif is prominent on the heel and toe cap. Finally, a matching sole unit caps off the sleek profile altogether.

Although it won’t be the exact iteration, the forthcoming silhouette is noted to be very similar to Melo’s PE pair according to sources. Gym red essentially covers its entire upper, while black accents adorn the heel and inner lining. Finally, a crisp white midsole unit and an icy blue translucent outsole caps off the vivid monochromatic aesthetic.

Jordan Brand’s Holiday 2017 lineup will be filled with new and classic variations of the Air Jordan lineage, as this new Air Jordan 6 Gatorade consists as one particular standout.

Initially released back in 2005, and then retroed in 2010, although, with a mesh upper instead of leather, the original Air Jordan 13 Altitude is set to make a return once again as part of Jordan Brand’s stellar 2017 holiday lineup.

Staying true to its OG leather counterpart, the basketball sneaker is draped in black throughout its entirety, while altitude green is prominent on the outsole. Finishing elements include the signature holographic logo on the heel, as well as textured overlays wrapping the sides and rear.
