Here’s a understatement if there ever was one: NBA All-Star Weekend is a blur. Between all the events and parties that goes on during the league’s most high-profile week, there’s a chance media members won’t remember exactly everything they did during those four days. Case in point, even though I was there for maybe 40% of the total time of the weekend, I had forgotten about (redacted) and (Oh God, I can never tell this story), not to mention (uh… moving along…) until I checked my phone a few days ago. Maybe try not to have too much fun, I guess.
Anyways, a story I can tell and probably won’t get me trouble was the early availability of the Air Jordan 4 Motorsport 2017 retro at Jordan Brand’s pop-up shop in New Orleans and my constant back and forth on whether I should buy it or not. I mean, it was right there for the taking. I even took a few GIFs of the kicks for the sake of our readers that weren’t posted until now.

Not that this should comes as a surprise, but Jordan Brand was one of the hottest spots to be at if you were looking for kicks that weekend. Alongside the All-Star collection, sneakerheads could also cop restocks of the Air Jordan 1 Top 3, Air Jordan 12 Deep Royal Blue, and the Trophy Room x Air Jordan 16 among others. The Air Jordan 4 Motorsport was one of the handful of sneakers that were available ahead of their general release and it was very tempting.
So what held me back from actually buying a pair? Well, it was a combination of space (I’m stuffing as many kicks I can in my bags and I was already full) and money (didn’t want to use some of my cash on a pair I can cop a few weeks later) that kept me from bringing them home. Unfortunately, I saved up my money for nothing because a pair I would have bought had I been at the shop on time, the exclusive Air Jordan 31 gold, was gone in mere minutes.
