In what can only be described as a Dunk-ified version of our daily video news segments, we’re talking today about two high profile Nike Dunks that are already available in different parts of the world with one still awaiting a proper US release. First we’ve got UNDFTD with their latest Nike collab that takes the Dunk Lux High and adds some UNDFTD branding love while SPoT goes all-out with a pirate theme for their Nike SB Dunk High. Early in the NBA season Swaggy P aka Nick Young became a sneaker free agent as his contact with Nike reached its end. There was a brief moment where he went on to wear everything from Nike to FILA to Reebok and adidas. Ultimately Swaggy decided to join James Harden and Kaye West and joined team adidas. But why?

Here’s what Young had to say about his decision to walk away from Nike (and other brands) and choose adidas.

?Nike is really only three people. Kobe, Durant and LeBron,? he explained. ?I like the concept of how adidas adds everybody in their shoe commercial. The way adidas is going and the waves they?ve got, I was getting on board.?

We can’t help but assume that Kanye West played a big part of Young’s decision to join adidas and according to him he was influenced by Yeezy.

?That helped adidas out a trillion times,? Young laughed. ?And of course I asked for the whole Kanye collection. Bring me everything.?

Do you think that Nick Young made the right decision to leave Nike and join adidas? I mean it’s not like he’s ever gonna get a signature shoe with adidas either, right? What would you have done?

Andre Agassi’s Nike Air Tech Challenge 4 made its initial release way back in 1992. Quick math tells me that that’s around 24 years ago. That’s how long it took for Nike to give this Agassi shoe the retro treatment. Returning in a brand new colorway, let’s take a closer look at the shoe.

The shoe starts off with an off-white leather upper heavily contrasted by the brown suede hits placed all over the upper. Adding some soft and subtle hits to the shoe are the coral accents placed on the heel and outsole of the shoe. It’s crazy that it took Nike this long to retro the shoe. I’m sure Agassi enthusiasts will be happy to see this sneaker return. I wonder if Nike will bring back OG colorways of the shoe as well.

This weekend we may or may not see the release of the 2016 version of the Atmos x Nike Air Max 1 Safari. Whether Nike does decide to release them this weekend or keep us waiting a little longer, it’s almost a guarantee that they will sell out, even if Nike did “remix” them a bit.

If you’re looking for another Air Max 1 with premium materials then here’s another solid option for you. Set in a combination of Midnight Navy, Dark Obsidian and Cider, this Air Max 1 uses premium materials that include denim, twill, and leather for a very stylish and fashionable look. Hits of grey can also be seen on the toe and around the ankle for additional contrast.

The materials on this pair of Air Max 1s are really nice I just wish Nike would have used different colors. I like the blue on the shoe but the orange just doesn’t match up right.

The wait is finally almost over for fans of Andre Agassi’s Tech Challenge line: the Air Tech Challenge IV will retro at last. The elusive model loved by all collectors of the bold signature tennis shoe line has never returned, meaning it’s been out of production since its original release in 1992. Here we see an all-new colorway of the Tech Challenge 4, featuring a unique off-white leather and brown suede combination with coral accents, but you can bet that at least one original colorway will be returning, as well. Have you had the chance to look at the official images of the NikeLab Sock Dart Tech Fleece? If it’s a cozy sneaker you’re looking for, don’t sleep on these pairs.

The NikeLab version of the Sock Dart comes with Nike’s Tech Fleece material placed on the upper of the shoe. The first pair comes with the grey Tech Fleece placed on the upper contrasted by the purple hue found on the back half of the shoe. A white midsole creates some nice overall contrast. The second pair comes in a subtle black and grey makeup whereas the tonal sole unit blends in nicely with the shoe. No word yet on when these will drop, but expect them to do so sooner rather than later.

While I do appreciate Tech Fleece uppers on Nike sneakers, I view this model as a summer offering, putting Tech Fleece on the shoe doesn’t really make sense for hot sunny days.

Don’t look now, but a brand new Nike Flyknit Racer just released. Opting to go with a subtle look, I’m just glad this colorway doesn’t have volt or neon hits on it. Although the Flyknit Racer Blue Glow released not too long ago, Nike is giving us yet another colorway to choose from with this Dark Grey offering of the shoe.

The images show that this version of the Racer is the type that splits shoes Flyknit upper into two different colors placed on the lateral and medial side of the shoe. One side comes in Dark Grey while the other side comes in Black. White hits break up the tonal look of the shoe as it’s spotted on the Nike Swoosh on the side panels, branding on the tongue as well as on the midsole and outsole of the shoe. Available at Nike’s online store now, pick up a pair for $150.

I like when the Racer gets done up in the split-colored look, only thing is that this colorway doesn’t really take advantage of the two-toned upper since the Dark Grey is very similar to the Black. It sort looks like another version of the Oreo. Oreo 3.0 anyone?

Earlier in the week we learned that Nike will be releasing an all-new Nike Kobe Pack that is being known as the FTB (Fade to Black) Pack that will celebrate Kobe’s tenure with the Swoosh starting off with the Air Zoom Huarache 2K4 and ending with the newest Kobe 11.

Today we take a look at what may be the Nike Zoom Kobe 1 from this said collection. According to the leaked style sheets that surfaced earlier this week the colorway for the Zoom Kobe 1 is expected to be Sail/Sail and this first image that we see above lines up with that. The shoe comes with a textile snakeskin-like upper with Gold detailing and what looks to be a gum outsole.

The Nike Zoom Kobe 1 FTB is expected to release on March 19th with a retail price of $200 so stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for more information.

It’s hard to judge a sneaker when you can’t see it in its entirety, but the snake-skin upper and gum outsole seem to be a nice touch. This along with every other shoe from the pack will sell out instantly.

When Nike and LeBron decided to create and release the Nike LeBron Zoom Soldier 8 FlyEase last year, it was definitely one of the coolest releases that we had seen in a very long time. The FlyEase version of the Soldier 8 was designed specifically for disabled athletes that have a difficult time fitting regular sneakers. The shoe features a unique zip-up system that helps those who have limited hand functionality the ability to slip right into a pair of sneakers and also able to tie them up on their own. If you thought that was the last of the FlyEasy technology that we were going to see, think again. Introducing the Nike LeBron Zoom Soldier 9 FlyEase.

This time around, FlyEasy technology appears on the LeBron Soldier 9. From the naked eye, Nike did an amazing job at keeping the original aesthetics of the shoe. The only difference lies in the zip construction that appears on the medial side and wraps around the heel to connect to the upper strap. As of right now tow different colorways have been unveiled that are set to release this Spring, but expect more to come as the year goes by.

After debuting earlier this month, the fleece construction for the Nike Sock Dart is back. Following up the Mulberry colorway are two more looks for the coziest Sock Darts yet, featuring tech fleece uppers to keep your feet warm for the remainder of the cold winter weather. Heather grey fleece is a common denominator of the two newest colorways, as it’s seen on the majority of one version with a Mulberry heel, while the other sports a grey heel and black for the rest. The Nike Air Max CB34 in the Phoenix Suns Home colorway released today. Charles Barkley fans were more than pleased to see this dope colorway of the shoe make a return. Aside from the Phoenix Suns colorway, there’s also another colorrway of th shoe that’s also readily available. Let’s take a look at the Nike Air Max CB34 Wolf Grey.

The colorway of the Air Max CB34 comes in a Wolf Grey nubuck upper contrasted by the black hits placed on the tongue, laces, midsole and strategically placed areas on the side panels. White accents cleans things up a bit as they are seen on the sole unit and branding of the shoe. Lastly, varsity red hits give the shoe a bold look as it’ spotted on the Nike Swooshes, tongue pull tab and Air Max unit. Also available now, pick up a pair today at select retailers for $160.

As most of you are aware, Nike recently announced that they are going to be bringing back all of Kobe’s signature shoes in what they’e calling Fade To Black (FTB) collection. This collection will begin with the Nike Zoom Huarache 2K4 and conclude with a Nike Kobe 11. The concept behind this collection is that the shoes will start with all-white colorways and will gradually evolve in color unitl it reaches an all-black motif on the Kobe 11.

The shoe you see above is the Nike Kobe 1. A style sheet of the FTB collection was recently leaked and it had the Nike Kobe 1 listed in a Sail/Sail colorway. I may not have 20/20 vision but the Kobe 1 you see above does not come in a Sail/Sail colorway. It’s actually quite opposite as it dons a black snakeskin colorway along with gold detailing throughout the shoe. Does this mean that more colorways of the Kobe retros are on the way in addition to the FTB collection? Keep it locked for more information regarding this potential release.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Nike goes ahead and begins to release Kobe retros in the near future. It makes perfect sense now that Kobe is calling it a career.

A new colorway of the Nike Kobe 11 has surfaced, and Bruce Lee fans are going to be happy about this one. Once again, a Kobe Bryant signature sneakers is inspired by the Bruce Lee film, Game of Death. Being that the film is one of the Kobe’s personal favorites, it’s no surprise the theme is one again placed on his latest signature sneaker.

Just like Bruce Lee’s attire in Game of Death, the Flyknit upper of the shoe comes in a yellow motif in the front which ends up turning into black by the time you get to the heel area of the shoe. Hits of red can be seen on the lace tips, tongue branding, Flywire and most noticeably the slashed scars embroidered on the heels. A black translucent outsole, a black Nike Swoosh and a set of yellow laces wrap up the look of the shoe. Said to be releasing March 19th for $200, let us know what you think of the shoe.

Big fan of yellow/black sneakers, and the colorway looks really nice on the Kobe 11. I’ve said time and time again I won’t pick up a pair of Kobe 11s until I find one that I really really like, I think I found the one.

In a celebrating mood? Take a look at the Nike Air Force 1 Low Nai Ke Chinese New Year. Although Chinese Lunar New Year has come and gone, any time is a good time to celebrate. Coming in an all-white aesthetic with Chinese New Year motifs, let’s take a closer look at these official images of the shoe.

The all-white leather on the low-top is contrasted by utilizing Chinese imagery in different areas of the upper. Images of things such as Lotus petals and koi fish make their mark on the Chinese New Year themed upper. Perhaps the coolest feature on the shoe can be found on the heel as the standard Nike Air branding is replaced with the Chinese transliteration “Naike”. The Chinese New Year imagery used it pretty cool, I just wished they used more of it on more of the shoe. It would have had more of an impact if done so.

Nike Sportswear continues to keep things interesting for the Air Max 1, presenting yet another top-par edition of the iconic silhouette. Denim, twill, and leather combine on this intriguing new construction for the classic runner, giving it a distinct premium-casual look. The color palette in dark blue, heathered grey, and brown actually looks more appropriate for a fall release than spring, but we doubt that will be cause for anybody to pass these up this season. Find them arriving at select Nike Sportswear retailers soon.
