The Nike Roshe Triple White Is Back In Stores
By SoleInsider
Haven’t grown tired of the white on white look? Neither have we. You can’t have enough pristine white sneakers in your collection and that’s something that Wale and Jerry Seinfeld would agree with too. The Nike Roshe Run has been busy with Flyknit uppers and diversifying its portfolio with a number of Tech Fleece uppers, but sometimes it’s best to go back to the basics – especially given that Dylan Raasch’s 2012 design was created on the idea of Zen-like simplicity. Nike Sportswear is bringing the instant classic back in a baking soda white for the perfect Spring 2016 look that you can rock well into the summer months. Get with us after the break for a look at what could be the cleanest Roshe in history and buy your pair from retailers like Politics today for $75 USD.
A Triple Black Colorway Of The Nike Air Max 90 Ultra BR Is Here
By SoleInsider
Nike Sportswear has been updating some of their most iconic models with an Ultra Moire inspired bottom for a modern upgrade that’s both lightweight and stylish. The latest pair to do so is this Nike Air Max 90 Ultra BR, a pair that’s now available in a “Triple Black” look. The upper utilizes a near-seamless breathable mesh base for a breezy ride that the OG Nike Air Max 90 missed out on. What to do you think of the look? Be sure to check out more photos below and know select retailers like Packer Shoes are stocking this pair today.
The Nike Innovation Summit took place yesterday in New York City to much fanfare and speculation. Now we’re left to dissect, discuss and discover what all went down. It’s an interesting event that dropped plenty of information and set the stage for what Nike has in store for the rest of the year. Think of it like an E3 press conference where the big bosses of the industry (with special guest Kevin Hart because he’s in everything) get on the stage and introduce new hardware and new games for the fans to salivate over. Sneakerheads might not salivate but they were sweating – especially those who got to try on the new gear – this one for sure.
While there was a lot to unpack in NYC, here are 10 things that we took away from the event that might be of consequence to our readers in the coming months ahead.
10. The Looks On People’s Faces When They See The Nike Hyperdunk 2016
Nike
The Flyknit collar that we’ve started to see pop up in the Nike LunarEpic and the Nike Koston 3 continues to make their way towards other departments in Nike’s house with the Hyperdunk being the most stunning iteration yet. If the promising new Zoom Air unit with the hollowed out sole lives up to expectations, it’ll be the most comfortable and best performing Hyperdunk, which is high praise.
However, I can’t wait to see what people who don’t pay attention to sneakers all that much think when they see them in stores.
It’s actually the best-looking Hyperdunk in my estimation, but that collar is going to get a lot of reactions and it’s now always good based on personal experience.
Remember when you freaked out that Nike had lost their minds when the Nike Kobe 9 Elite was first revealed? Remember when you were relieved to find out that there was a low-cut Nike Kobe 9 Elite? Basically whenever Nike goes that high, never forget that they can always cut it off and go low.
I’ve been singing the praises of the LunarEpic ever since I got a pair, but anybody I ever talked to always came back to that collar. Well, at the Innovation Summit, a low-cut version of the LunarEpic was found on display. Not that that should be a surprise anymore, right?
8. The Nike Air VaporMax Makes Your Air Max 2016 Look Old
Nike
The Nike Air Max 2016 has engineered mesh, a cushy foam midsole and the Air Max bubble you know and love. It improves upon the Air Max 2015, which improved upon the Air Max 2014 that improved upon the Air Max 201… you get the idea. The Nike Air VaporMax uses Flyknit and a new Air unit that eliminates the need for a foam midsole. It claims to be lighter and even more flexible than previous years. Less refinement and more evolution. Enjoy your 2016s while you can.
7. Better Start Getting In Shape If You Want To Wear Those Nike Vapor Uniforms Once They Hit The NBA
Nike
So those new Nike Vapor uniforms with Aeroswift technology look really nice and you know Nike will have something special ready to go when they take over the NBA license in 2017. But those slim fitting jerseys are not going to be a good look on the typical fan that listens to sports radio like its gospel. Start hitting that gym now, folks.
6. Good To See The Rest Of Nike Is Finally Catching Up To Kobe
Nike
It’s a little bit of a troll, but I can imagine Kobe just watching the Innovation Summit unfold – especially all the KD 9 news – and hear how much Flyknit has become ingrained in so many Nike products now and just laugh because he was ahead of the curve. Meanwhile, he’s calling Eric Avar at three in the morning and asking what Nike has coming down the pipeline a few years from now because he wants it on the Kobe 12 now.
5. Nike Doesn’t Care For Your Graphic Socks
Nike
Nike is way more concerned about making sure your sock isn’t slipping and sliding in your shoe than making a sock with Kyrie Irving on the karaoke mic (although that would be great). NikeGRIP has a chance to be this generation’s Nike’s Elite socks in that they can transcend the sneaker world with their easy and simple color palette and develop their own cottage industry like the Elites did.
4. The Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 Makes Us Hopeful For The Future
Read this. I’m very hopeful about what HyperAdapt can do for a segment of the population that has been underserved for a very long time.
Seriously, that shirt is everything. If you think that pattern or some piece of it won’t end up on a shoe one day you haven’t been paying attention.
2. I’m Ready For The All-Flyknit Future
It’s the default setting now. I’ve been on board that Flyknit train ever since I wore my first pair of Flyknit Lunars years ago so it is great to see Nike just keep evolving the tech and refining it to the point to where it no longer needs Nikeskin or whatever glue or layering that was once necessary to make them work on a basketball or golf shoe. It helps the environment, reduces production times and is a whole lot easier to store than a pair of retros. There will always be room for premium leather kicks, but I’m ready to embrace our Flyknit overlords.
This might be the biggest deal of them all. For years, we have watched KD’s line skyrocket in price to its current level of $180. It was a tough pill to swallow for everybody involved, but we just chalked that up to the world we live in and business reasons. People were buying KD’s shoes so that justified the constant price jumps. So to see it roll back, there are a few things to consider:
Nike is finally passing the savings of Flyknit construction on to the consumer
Nike KDs were sitting on shelves waiting to be sold at half off
It’ll be interesting to see what the LeBron 14 and Kobe 12 will sell for
Granted, $150 might not be impulse buy territory, but fans will eat up this goodwill gesture, especially if the colorways are hot. The cliche of going back to move forward actually works here.
Riccardo Tisci And NikeLab Team Up For Olympics Inspired Training Collection
By SoleInsider
The Rio Olympics are months away and you already know Nike has some big things in the works for this summer’s biggest sporting event. To kick things off, NikeLab and Riccardo Tisci joined forces to create the Training Redefined Collection, marked by a kaleidoscopic graphic that includes floral print schemes inspired by the natural flora of Oregon, Italy, and Rio De Janeiro. While it doesn’t appear that footwear will be part of the capsule, you can never rule that out given the previous history of Nike x RT collaborations. Expect a release this July 2016, followed by another wave of releases in August.
You’ve seen it done to the Air Force 1 Mid, and now classic colorways borrowed from the Air Jordan 1 are coming to the low-top edition of the timeless basketball and lifestyle silhouette. That’s right, the Air Force 1 Low is the next sneaker to get the “Bred” and “Royal” treatments, featuring the exact same color block you know and love from the first Air Jordan. Preview both familiar looks here today, and expect the Air Force 1 Low “J-Pack” to arrive at select Nike Sportswear retailers later this spring.
Sights And Sounds From Nikes Innovation For Everybody Event In NYC
By SoleInsider
Okay, so today was bananas. I’ve been to dozens upon dozens of Nike media events since 2009 and this one ranks as one of the best ever. See, with Nike, they never, ever let a detail go by unnoticed. I don’t know how they do it. One time, they made me a pair of KD 6s on NIKEiD based off my Instagram profile picture. Who does that? Seriously? That said, being a Nike media event veteran, i’ve seen firsthand all the great lengths the brand goes through to educate us on what’s to come, and what went down today was undoubtedly the BEST EVER. The Nike Innovation For Everybody summit in New York City featured media from all around the world, and despite the huge guest-list, there was a true sense of individuality in that the brand communicated its goal of connecting with athletes* all around the world using the most advanced athletic products out there. I’d like to share some of what I saw today, so enjoy.
In addition to the recently featured Nike Air Max 90 Ultra in a clean white finish, the modernized silhouette is now rendered in a complete opposite.
Black consists as its primary tone, which essentially covers the runner’s entire profile. In particular, the upper is comprised of smooth Hyperfuse which is detailed with perforations throughout to allow maximum breathability and comfort. The construction also portrays a sleeker build than its traditional composition, while offering a lightweight feel overall.
Tonal synthetics are implemented on the eye stays, Swoosh branding and rear badge to perfectly coordinate with its stealthy appearance, as tonal depressions on the upper further define the sneaker’s recognizable and iconic design.
All resting atop a matching sole unit with its distinctive visible air bubble component in the heel, the pair is rounded out with contrasting red insoles. You can purchase a pair at select Nike stores now for $130.
Even though you can’t see the insoles, I like how it was colored in Red. Aside from that, the shoe itself is pretty versatile and perfect for everyday wear.
The Nike Roshe One aka Run, continues to be offered in a myriad of colorways, as the latest this season is seen in a clean all-white finish.
Certainly one of the Swoosh’s strongest lifestyle sneakers from its archives, the low-top is comprised of a breathable mesh upper, which offers the perfect combination of comfort, breathability and lightweight feel.
The pristine hue essentially covers the entire composition, such as the full-length phylon sole unit, inner lining, laces, pull tabs on the heel and tongue for an easier access, as well as Swoosh branding on the side panels.
Priced at $75, you can prep for summer and purchase a pair at Nike retailers nationwide now.
Following a recent finish in midnight navy and pure platinum, the Nike Air Max 90 Ultra Moire is introduced in another tonal iteration for the season, this time utilizing the timeless hue of all-white.
Compared to its traditional counterpart, this modernized iteration is defined by a one-piece seamless upper. The component is detailed with miniature perforations throughout to allow maximum breathability, as well as providing a comfortable and lightweight feel overall.
Tonal synthetics such as the iconic Swoosh branding, mudguard and heel badge are implemented to signify its notable elements, as it all rests atop a matching rubber sole unit with the visible air bubble in the heel.
Rounded out with matching laces and more tonal branding on the rear, you can find this heavenly pair at select Nike retailers nationwide now for a retail price tag of $190.
I’ll never get tired of this model. I actually haven’t even purchased this particular build, but this colorway is certainly a pleaser. Perfect for summer.
This bold and vibrant colorway of the Air Max 90 Ultra is inspired by ancient Chinese architecture and textiles and features a bright pattern dedicated to the vibrant city of Shanghai throughout the upper. Serving as a contrast to the red upper is a white midsole with translucent burgundy hits around the Air Max bubble and by the toe. Another detail of this colorway is the “HAI” lace dubraes that stand for Shanghai.
Releasing tomorrow, March 17th, who plans on picking up the Nike Air Max 90 Ultra Shanghai? Retail price is set at $150.
Due to the vibrant red upper and nice designs on the overlays, I’m sure that many men wouldn’t mind actually wearing this Air Max 90 even though it has been designated a women’s release. I know I wouldn’t.

That didn’t take long. Nike officially introduced the Nike LunarEpic Flyknit less than two weeks ago, and they’ve already decided to put the shoe on NIKEiD. That means that from aside all of the colorways currently available, we’re also going to be able to create our very own version.

A Detailed Look At The Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 Power-Lacing Sneaker
By SoleInsider
Day One of Nike’s Innovation For Everybody summit is in the books, and among the many storylines to have emerged from this day-long showcase of the future of Nike, the HyperAdapt 1.0 sneaker stands out as the most significant. The HyperAdapt 1.0 was a collaborative effort between Tinker Hatfield and Senior Innovator Tiffany Beers, who is credited from bringing in the wearable self-lacing shoe to life. The shoes have hands-free power-lacing capabilities thanks to sensors at the heel (it automatically tightens once your foot is in), and the lockdown can be adjusted to personal preference using the buttons on the upper. The shoes also feature “E.A.R.L.” on the left shoe, which is an acronym for Electro Adaptive Reactive Lacing, the technology that makes the HyperAdapt 1.0 possible. The Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 is set to release this Holiday in three colorways exclusively for Nike+ members. Stay tuned for an interview with Tiffany Beers soon and enjoy this detailed gallery below.

Releasing as a part of the 2016 Spring/Summer Collection of the Nike Air Max 2016 is this new white and back colorway of Nike’s newest Air Max flagship silhouette.
Seen in a variety of different colorways already, the Nike Air Max 2016 comes equipped with a full engineered mesh upper and Flywire cables running down the side panels to provide lock-down support. This colorway that was created exclusively for the ladies comes with a white/grey mesh upper and black detailing on the branding, inner liner, midsole, laces and Flywire. Down below we have a translucent full-length Max Air unit and an icy blue outsole.
Look for this colorway of the Nike Air Max 2016 at select Nike retailers in the near future.
I don’t care if this is a women’s colorway or not, it’s one of the best pairs of Air Max 2016s. It could have looked a little better id the upper was an actual grey instead of a dirty white. Nonetheless it’s a fresh pick up for any women looking for a fresh pair of runners.
