This Upcoming Nike LeBron 13 Imagines King James As A Comic Book Hero

King James entered the realm of other legendary Cleveland comic book heroes when he startled Doris Burke with a loud, “Cleveland, this is for you!” during his emotional post-game interview after finally ending the city’s half-century title drought. The land gave us Superman and American Splendor‘s lovable everyman Harvey Pekar so it makes sense that Nike Basketball utilize comic strips as inspiration on this Nike LeBron 13. The upper gets a high contrast black and white colorway while the Posite overlay sees pixelated shading and matching gradient speckles on the midsole to emulate the shading used in black and white comic books. What do you think of the latest LeBron 13? Check out more photos below and stay tuned for a release in the near future.

Volt Nike Flyknit Racers Are Returning In August

While we keep wondering if Nike will ever drop an updated sequel, great new looks for the  Flyknit Racer continue to hit the shelves indefinitely. The latest edition features a throwback feel to the first colorway of the shoe ever released, with a mix of Volt and Black across the upper. Unlike the original, however, the split medial and lateral color blocking is gone in favor of the more recently used all-over heathered Flyknit weave of the two contrasting colors (although the medial sides do seem to be a little heavier on the black thread if you look closely). No matter how you mix it up, black and Volt are always going to be a winning combination, and a perfect look on the Flyknit Racer. Even though there’s still no Flyknit Racer 2, colorways like this on the original will definitely tide us over.

Following its official imagery, another look at this revamped Nike Air Max 1 Ultra Flyknit in black/white is featured, as the model will be finally arriving at retailers very soon.

As the title implies, the runner?s traditional leather/suede construction has been replaced with a knitted profile instead to enable more ventilation and a lighter feel overall. Black, grey and white threads are intertwined across the component, while tonal hits of black are prominent along the mudguard and Swooshes on the side panels in a synthetic overlay. More is seen on the upper eyelets, heel and branding on the tongue as well.

Finished off with a clean white sole unit in white as well, fans can find this women’s variation at select Nike retailers worldwide starting July 28th for $160.

Author’s Take

I?ve been waiting for the flyknit to be applied on this lineage and it looks really solid. I like the classic colorway as well. I?m just biased.

A theme that has been prevalent in past silhouettes since 2004, the Nike LeBron Zoom Soldier 10 consists as the next variation to continue the Dunkman colorway.

Sporting a pristine white finish across the flexible and stretch-lined upper with its distinctive straps on the forefoot and mid-foot, the basketball sneaker is further defined by an extended ankle support with an additional strap that is rendered in grey to complement the palette, while hits of volt green adorn the entire outsole, outlining of the Swoosh logo on its heel and notable branding across the mid-foot strap to further pronounce its profile.

Priced at $140, select Nike accounts overseas already have the pair listed for availability, but, you can expect to find this pair at more retailers nationwide sometime during August.

Stay tuned for more updates.

Author’s Take

I still like the 9 more, even though James wore this silhouette to win the championship. I?m just not a fan of the higher build and this is too bulky for my taste. This is a really nice colorway though.

Nike Officially Announces the Flyknit Air Max 1

Evolving numerous times since its landmark debut in 1987, the Nike Air Max 1 is now officially introduced in its latest construction featuring a Flyknit upper. The legendary silhouette’s latest milestone is the the Air Max 1 Ultra Flyknit, the shoe’s lightest iteration yet. Spearheaded by the Flyknit-constructed Air Max 1’s lead designer Ben Yu, the shoe features a fully woven upper with a looser knit pattern at the to and tongue for ventilation while a closed construction in the heel provides added support. Meanwhile, a fused mudguard replicates the look of the original Air Max 1, while the cored-out foam tooling reduces weight even further and adds comfort. The Nike Air Max 1 Ultra Flyknit in men’s and women’s specific sizing and colorways is available now via the Nike SNKRS app and July 28th at select retailers globally.

Author’s Take

I’m not a fan of Foams, but a colorway comes around every so often that catches my attention. This Olympic pair is pretty nice, but I wouldn’t be willing to pay anywhere near $250 for it.

Nike Gives The Dunk High Another Makeover With This One Piece CRFT Version

NIKE DUNK HIGH 1 NIKE DUNK HIGH 2 NIKE DUNK HIGH 3 NIKE DUNK HIGH 4 NIKE DUNK HIGH 5

We’ve all heard of the Nike Dunk High CMFT, but Nike has now given the popular silhouette another twist with this new CRFT version.

This new version of the popular Nike Dunk High features a one piece seamless premium leather upper. The pair that you see above comes in a tan/olive tonal upper with a white midsole and gum outsole. Making this shoe even more modern is the addition of a Ultra sole that makes it lighter and more comfortable.

What are your thoughts on the new Nike Dunk High CRFT? Do you plan on picking up a pair when they arrive at retailers in the near future. Let us know in the comments below.

via: Nike

Author’s Take

I’m not sure how I feel about the one piece leather upper. Maybe it’s just the colorway but I’m not really feeling this new pair of Dunks.

The Nike Air Presto Tuxedo Has Arrived

nike-air-presto-tuxedo-0 (1) nike-air-presto-tuxedo-0 (2) nike-air-presto-tuxedo-0

Presto season is in full effect. Whether you’re a fan of the OG build or you’re rockin’ with the Flyknit version, you really can’t go wrong with wearing either of the two during the Summer season. If you’re looking for a new colorway to pick up, take a look at the Nike Air Presto Tuxedo.

Just like you’d imagine (based off the nickname of the colorway), this Presto comes in a Black and White motif. While I wouldn’t advise you to wear them with an actual tuxedo, there’s no denying that this is a pretty sweet colorway for the season. The Black mesh upper is offset nicely by the translucent White placed on the cage and toe. Additional White is used for the midsole and toe branding, while a Black outsole rounds out the tuxedo look. Available overseas, expect these to drop stateside in the near future.

Author’s Take

I just picked up my second pair of Prestos (Rio Teal). I prefer bold and bright colors on the model since I view it as a Summer sneaker. Nonetheless, you can’t go wrong with this colorway.

A New White/Grey Colorway of The Nike Air Max Zero

NIKE AIR MAX ZERO 1 NIKE AIR MAX ZERO 2 NIKE AIR MAX ZERO 3 NIKE AIR MAX ZERO 4 NIKE AIR MAX ZERO 5 NIKE AIR MAX ZERO 6

It seems like the crazy hype that was once there for the Nike Air Max Zero has died down little by little. Ever since the silhouette landed on NIKEiD the “need” for people to own a pair just isn’t as big as it used to be.

Don’t get us wrong though, “the one before the 1″ is still a very popular silhouette. For those of you that are fans of the silhouette today we take a look at a new White and Wolf Grey colorway. This women’s colorway has been dressed in a predominantly white upper with Wolf Grey and Black accents that provide a slight contrast. No exact release date is available yet but take a look at the official images above and let us know your thoughts.

Author’s Take

Way too plain. I would like to add a pair of Nike Air Max Zeros to my collection but not something as boring as this pair.

The Nike Air Presto Just Released In A Bred Colorway

Nike Air Presto 1 Nike Air Presto 2 Nike Air Presto 3 Nike Air Presto 4 Nike Air Presto 5 Nike Air Presto 6

We’re expected to see the Air Jordan 1 Bred officially unveiled later today, but in the meantime let’s take a look at another classic Nike sneaker that utilizes a similar colorway.

The Nike Air Presto has received the Bred color scheme as we can see with this new pair above. Black mesh dominates the entire mesh upper while University Red is present on the TPU cage, toecap, and the outsole. A White midsole and hits of Tour Yellow add some contrast to this pair of Prestos that can be bought at select Nike retailers now for $120.

Author’s Take

The shoe would have looked better without the yellow accents. I just don’t feel like yellow looks right with black and red.

The Nike Air Tech Challenge IV OG Is Releasing In New Colorways

Andre Agassi’s brazen Nike signature series is one of the most eclectic in the Swoosh catalog. It perfectly encapsulated Agassi’s bold style both on and off the tennis court and personified the 90s with splashes of loud graphics and equally vibrant colors throughout. The Nike Air Tech Challenge IV returned a few years back in low-top form but wasn’t enough to satisfy the true and through Agassi fanatics out there. Luckily, the ATC IV is back in original form and now is releasing a few new colorways like this White/Grey pair. Splashes of pink and orange add a vintage feel while that iconic tennis ball graphic hits the tongue patch to coincide with ‘Nike Air’ branding on the graphic-heavy heel panel. What do you think of this Agassi retro? Check out more photos of the new colorway below and stay tuned for a release later this summer.

First Look At The Nike Air Max Zero In White/Grey

The Nike Air Max Zero is back in a new White/Grey women’s exclusive colorway. One of Tinker Hatfield’s earliest sketches featuring that patented visible air unit, Nike Sportswear brought the abandoned design to life in honor of the Air Max Day festivities a few years back. Since then we’ve seen a few colorways release here and there as well as NIKEiD availability, but we’d love to see more options. This women’s exclusive is headed to retailers in the near future and features a clean white upper, accents of Wolf Grey, and an outlined Swoosh in black to match the air max unit on the outsole. There’s no word yet on a release date, but check out more detailed photos below.
