The Nike Cortez Gets Unusual Stop Sign Graphics On The Heels

Stop and take a look at this unique new edition of the Cortez, built in premium suede and nylon with special graphics on the heels. We’re not sure what the story behind the look is, but the classic runner receives a white nylon and off-white suede upper with a green strip of foam in the midsole and then finished with Nike stop sign graphics on each heel, which apparently reference the statement found on the inside of each tongue: “The Tradition Never Stops”. The “Stop Sign” Cortez is available now at international Nike Sportswear retailers.

Odell Beckham Jr. Gets To Slide Into The Nike HyperAdapt 1.0

ODELL BECKHAM 1

After witnessing Kyrie Irving slip on the all-new Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 for the first time last week, Nike now gives the same opportunity to another young and explosive athlete, Odell Beckham Jr.

In the video above OBJ is seen trying on the auto-lacing sneaker for the first time as he slides his foot into the shoe and the revolutionary technology goes to work. Just like Kyrie, Beckham was given the all-white colorway to try on.

To find out how to purchase a pair, click here. Remember that it won’t come cheap as it retails for $720.

Jaden Smith Rocks Nike Air Mags Without A Care In The World (Video)

Nike Mag 1

It’s not too often we write about Jaden Smith on the site, but when we do you know it probably has to be sneaker related.

Usually known for wearing some Puma heat, the Fresh Prince of Bel Air’s son decided to do something a little different this time around. In his latest music video for his song “Fallen”, the 18-year old actor and musician (like father, like son) is seen wearing a pair of Nike Mags. It’s not clear whether they’re the 2011 pair or the auto lacing 2016 pair, but what we do know is that he doesn’t seem to hold them in as high regard as most people who have a pair do. The video is unique in its own ways, but what we couldn’t help but pay attention to the most is the way Jaden pretty much beats up the Mags throughout the entire video. Some of you may cringe watching this video considering that these currently sell for thousands of dollars. Watch the video above and give us your thoughts.

Author’s Take

I mean they’re just shoes, right? Right??? Haha…

Are You Ready For This Nike Air Max Uptempo Done In Nubuck And Suede

Nike Air Max Uptempo 1

Something a little different from the Nike Air Max Uptempo is coming our way. The classic Air Max model opts for a new look as a tonal Khaki hue graces the entire shoe’s upper.

Constructed out of a combination of nubuck ans suede, the version of the Air Max Uptempo definitely has a premium feel to them. The tonal look is contrasted by the off-White noted on the lower portion of the shoe as well as on the sole unit. Fairly simple in color scheme, there’s no doubt this is one of the best colorways I’ve seen on the model in quite some time. Available internationally, look for these to drop stateside on December 19th.

Author’s Take

I’m a sucker for these kind of Green hues on sneakers, especially during this time of year. I never thought I’d pick up this model, but I’m actually pretty interested in this one.

Nike Air Force 1 Mid Red October Is Coming Soon

While the Nike Air Force 1 Low is currently garnering all of the attention thanks to classic retros of the ‘NYC’ and ‘Linen’ arriving in incredibly limited numbers, Nike Sportswear hasn’t forgotten about the Nike Air Force 1 Mid either. After a look at an Air Jordan 12 with a similar vibe this morning, it looks like the Red October wave will be making an impact come Spring 2017 with this latest AF1 Mid release.

This Nike Air Force 1 Mid Red October keeps things as simple as possible. It’s happy enough having an original synthetic leather construction with no frills or additions as an all-Gym Red colorway is flashy enough to grab attention on its own. The only deviation from the all-red-everything look is on the heel’s classic white ‘Nike Air’ branding. What do you think of the look? Check out the first preview of the coming Nike Sportswear release and we’ll keep you updated on a Release Date right here on Sneaker News.

The Nike Flyknit Racer Earth Tones Releases This Friday

The Nike Flyknit Racer has been NSW’s resident lifestyle go-to in the warmer months for the better part of four years now. The lightweight, breathable woven upper has been hit with every color combination imaginable. And while the “Triple Black” aesthetic was the most popular offering of late, Nike Sportswear is ready to usher in the Spring 2017 season with this “Earth Tones” colorway dropping Friday, December 9th for $150 USD.

It may be a bit too cold out right now to wear this pair if you dwell on the East Coast, but the Nike Flyknit Racer Earth Tones colorway is simple enough to warrant keeping this pair on ice for a few months. The perfect casual combination of Rough Green, Neutral Olive, and Sequoia all form a khaki lifestyle aesthetic while interwoven accents of white liven things up. A Black Swoosh hits the side panel branding and outsole to keep things simple. What do you think of the Nike Flyknit Racer Earth Tones?

Check out more detailed shots below and grab this Flyknit Racer offering on Friday, December 9th from select shops at on Nike.com.

Heres Our First Look At The Nike Air Moc Bomber

nike-air-moc-bomber-1 nike-air-moc-bomber-2 unnamed

What you see above is a new rendition of the Nike Air Moc known as the Nike Air Moc Bomber. Ideal foe the colder months we’re currently in, this Bomber version of the Air Moc is done in a premium leather construction done in either Black or Light Taupe. Although the construction of the shoe has changed, the design appears to remain the same. The tonal look of the leather upper is complimented by the suede heel pull tab as well as a collar-tightening toggle all while being placed on top of a speckled off-White sole unit. Minimal branding appears by way of the Nike embroidering on the suede heel. Both colorways will release on December 8th. Is this a cop?

via: HB

Author’s Take

I like it better than the normally constructed Moc, but it’s still a tough shoe to pull of since I think it looks too much like a slipper.

All Three Colorways From The Nike Air Force 1 City Pack Release This Weekend

NIKE AIR FORCE 1 1 NIKE AIR FORCE 1 2 NIKE AIR FORCE 1 3 NIKE AIR FORCE 1 4

Nike will be celebrating the Air Force 1 this weekend as they’ll be releasing a trio of special colorways that pay homage to a few major cities around the country.

Air Force 1 Lows for the city of Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York will be landing at select regional retailers this weekend as a part of the City Pack. With the Los Angeles and New York pairs already having releases earlier this year, the Windy City pair will be making its 2016 debut this weekend. Look for all three pairs at select retailers in their respective cities on December 10th.

Author’s Take

My favorite pair is the Chicago colorway because of the actual colors that are used. You just can’t go wrong with the classic “bred” color scheme.

Riccardo Tisci And NikeLab Blend Land And Sea With The Zoom Legend RT

Riccardo Tisci’s experimentation with Nike classics has led to some true standouts over the years. It started with his re-imagining of the Air Force 1 in four different trims in 2014, firmly establishing “Tisci” in sneakerhead lore, and it continues this Thursday with the release of the Nike Zoom Legend Chelsea Boot, which connects the Nike Aqua Boot from 1990 with the Chelsea Boot look, a staple in city fashion that Riccardo himself stays loyal to. Two colorways are confirmed to release on December 8th; the black/pink/teal is a nod to the bright colors of Rio, while the predominantly black pair makes use of a grey embroidered floral pattern.

Expect both at NikeLab retailers and nike.com/nikelab beginning on December 8th.

The Nike Air Force 1 City Pack Releases This Weekend

Nike brought back the Air Force 1 in a huge way this holiday season, with surprising bringbacks in 2001’s “Linen”, Ben Kirschner’s rebuilt SF-AF1, and the winter-ready Lunar Force 1 Duckboots entering the fold. But what had sneakerheads truly beaming was the return of the “City Pack”, conjuring up territorial pride with the awesome city-specific logos on the heels and tongues. It started with a super-limited drop of the Air Force 1 “LA” at ComplexCon followed by the KITH-exclusive NYC pair, and now Chicago enters the mix with the return of its own regional hit from 2004. Better yet, all three will release again on December 10th, completely remastered stitch for stitch with premium leathers. Revisit all three here and get yours at Nike Sportswear retailers in NY, CHI, and LA this Saturday.

Introducing The Riccardo Tisci x NikeLab Air Zoom Legend

Riccardo Tisci x NikeLab Air Zoom Legend Riccardo Tisci x NikeLab Air Zoom Legend 1 Riccardo Tisci x NikeLab Air Zoom Legend 2 Riccardo Tisci x NikeLab Air Zoom Legend 6 Riccardo Tisci x NikeLab Air Zoom Legend 4 Riccardo Tisci x NikeLab Air Zoom Legend 3 Riccardo Tisci x NikeLab Air Zoom Legend 5 Riccardo Tisci x NikeLab Air Zoom Legend 9 Riccardo Tisci x NikeLab Air Zoom Legend 7 Riccardo Tisci x NikeLab Air Zoom Legend 11 Riccardo Tisci x NikeLab Air Zoom Legend 12 Riccardo Tisci x NikeLab Air Zoom Legend 8 Riccardo Tisci x NikeLab Air Zoom Legend 10

Introduced last month and released in extremely limited quantities exclusively at the NikeLab store at 21 Mercer Street in New York, the new Riccardo Tisci x NikeLab Air Zoom Legend is now officially introduced.

Evoking a chelsea boot-inspired aesthetic, a style that Tisci has always expressed his affinity for, the silhouette is also defined by incorporating the sole of the Aqua boot — a shoe made for water sports like sailing and windsurfing — which Nike debuted in 1990.

Tisci says;

?I wanted to combine Nike?s rich experimentation in boot silhouettes with my love of the Chelsea Boot, in particular,? ?Shoes like the Nike Aqua Boot or SFB Boot have been equally embraced by niche sport communities and adopted as style staples. After our first collaboration in 2014, when I designed an Air Force 1 Boot for Nike, I knew I had even more visions of this kind of sport style to realize.?

Creating two versions of the shoe, one with a basketball-inspired black mesh upper, colorful heel and ice outsole — the second version dons a grey floral pattern embroidered on a black, woven jacquard upper and white midsole. In contrast to the shoes? intentionally minimal uppers, both outsoles contain geometric midsole tooling inspired by Rio?s curvy Copacabana sidewalks.

?The shoe juxtaposes Rio’s lively beach life with inspiration from Brasilian modernist architecture and the formality of a gentrified Chelsea boot.?

Finishing details include leather lining, pull tabs and foot beds, as well as a heel clip that has the RT logo, star and swoosh branding.

You can purchase the standout Riccardo Tisci x NikeLab Air Zoom Legend starting Thursday, December 8 at select NikeLab retailers.

Author’s Take

I really like this hybrid design and I can already see that this will be a popular model, especially among fashion enthusiasts since it?s a collab with Tisci. I?m looking forward to more colorways.

The Nike Air Max Uptempo Will Also Return In Urban Haze

The classic Nike Air Max Uptempo will also receive the autumnal appropriate urban haze theme, which is set to debut for the Air Max Uptempo 2 and Air Max Uptempo 97 as well.

Just like the aforesaid pairs, the basketball sneaker is defined by its dark olive hue across its smooth suede/nubuck and mesh upper. A sail white-colored rubber sole with the air-bubbled enhanced heel unit further solidifies, as well as complements its overall composition.

Look for this pair to debut at select Nike retailers in the coming weeks ahead.

Stay tuned to KicksOnFire for further updates.

I?ve always been a fan of this style. I haven?t purchased it in a while and I might do so now since I really like this colorway. This should garner enough attention overall.

The Nike Flyknit Racer Rough Green Drops This Week

Nike Flyknit Racer Nike Flyknit Racer 1

Following its triple black iteration, the popular Nike Flyknit Racer will release in form of Rough Green next to further cap off its 2016 lineup.

Although dubbed, “Earth Tones,” — the sleek model dons an official colorway of Rough Green/Black-Neutral Olive-Sequoia. Noted to be one of the trendiest hues for Fall/Winter, the aesthetic also evokes a militaristic theme with a slightly subtle camouflage pattern throughout.

Offsetting the understated profile is a clean white midsole unit and black outsole to round out its design.

Retailing for $150, you can buy a pair at select Nike retailers starting Friday, December 9th.

Author’s Take

I?ll always be an advocate for this style. I?m biased towards its design. This colorway is another crowd pleaser for sure.

Nike Created A PE LeBron 13 Low For J.R. Smith

Nike LeBron 13 Low 1 Nike LeBron 13 Low 2 Nike LeBron 13 Low 3

LeBron James continues to wear different versions of the Nike LeBron 13 even though he’s already been spotted getting some shots up in the LeBron 14. Whether it’s the OG 13, the LeBron 13 Elite, or the 13 Low, I think it’s a silhouette that not many people will remember. I mean even LeBron ditched it in last season’s playoffs and went with the Zoom Soldier 10s instead.

Some players do like the LeBron 13 though and continue to wear it on the court. One of those players is Bron’s teammate and NBA Champion J.R. Smith. Nike recently showcased a Smith PE colorway of the LeBron 13 Low which features a black and white upper with additional white detailing on the branding and midsole, and a red inner liner. Speckle detailing has been placed on the midsole with an icy blue translucent outsole wrapping things up.

Thumbs up or thumbs down for J.R.’s LeBron 13 Low?
