Nike Kobe A.D. Midnight Navy

It’s still strange not to see Kobe Bryant in the purple and gold during this NBA season. And while the Black Mamba has retired for good, Nike Basketball is still making sure that the Black Mamba DNA continues throughout today’s NBA with the latest strong addition to Kobe’s signature sneaker lineage with the Kobe AD. Sure, they’ve stopped numbering the Kobe signature in an attempt to create a gap between the models he played in when compared to his post-retirement offerings, but this is a signature shoe that Kobe himself would be proud enough to play in.

Today we get a look at the Nike Kobe AD Midnight Navy, a clean and simple dark blue option perfect for anyone playing for a team that utilizes the shade. There’s no thematic element to this release, but instead, it’s just a solid team-centric option for high schoolers, collegiate players, and pros alike. The updated Engineered Mesh upper features hits of Pure Platinum and White on the branding throughout while that unique heel gets a matching Midnight Navy shade.

This Nike Kobe AD Midnight Navy colorway is potentially releasing on February 23rd, but we’ll keep you updated on an official Release Date right here on Sneaker News in the near future.

Nike LeBron 14 Black Ice Releases On January 28th

Number 23 turns 32 today. LeBron James celebrated his birthday a little early by beating the Boston Celtics at home last night, where he debuted another new colorway of the LeBron 14. This particular look, known as the Nike LeBron 14 Black Ice, will release on January 28th, 2017 for $175 USD.

The Nike LeBron 14 has been a notable departure from LeBron and Nike Basketball’s usual signature lineup when compared to the past few models. The days of bold and jagged Hyperposite uppers have been replaced by a lightweight slip-on construction comprised of a dual-zone composite textile with the latest in engineered laser perforation technology. The Nike LeBron 14 “Black Ice” utilizes an all-black upper with Swoosh branding arriving on the midfoot strap, outlined in a simple contrasting white. The Zoom Air units on the outsole appear here in an icy blue for a slight deviation from the white speckled midsole.

What do you think of the first on-foot shot of the debut Nike LeBron 14 Black Ice? Check out more photos below and grab your size on January 28th for $175 USD. Be sure to stay tuned for more updates via our Release Dates page. Photos via David Liam Kyle/NBAE.
