Another Air Max Day Tribute By The Nike Air Max 1 Is Coming Soon

Air Max Day 2017 is all about the Air Max 1. It makes perfect sense to honor the first-ever visible Air Max shoe this year, because this Tinker-penned design is celebrating 30 years of groundbreaking technology and cultural importance. Among all the must-have AM1 drops that are arriving from now through March 26th (the atmos Retro, the Masters of Air, and the OG bringbacks), Nike is dropping an Air Max 1 Ultra 2.0 “Air Max Day” with the date of the made-up holiday placed on the tongue. These are reminiscent of the first-ever Air Max Day release back in 2014, when Nike dropped a volt-soled version of the OG 1s with 3.26 on the tongue.

The Air Max 1 Ultra 2.0 “Air Max Day” is set to release on March 16th, 2017.

More Images Of The Nike Air Max Plus TN Ultra Glacier Blue

Ladies, take a look at the brand new Nike Air Max Plus TN Ultra done in Glacier Blue. If you’re not too familiar with this model, it’s a modernized version of the classic Air Max Plus that made its debut back in 1998.

The Nike Air Max Plus TN Ultra manages to keep much of the design on the upper we’re used to seeing on the Air Max Plus. The only major difference is the swapping of the sole in favor of one with Ultra construction. The Ultra sole in return makes the shoe lighter and more comfortable than its predecessor. The mesh upper comes in Glacier Blue while the signature TPU overlays are done in a contrasting white. Miniature Black swooshes across the side panels round out the aesthetics of the shoe. Out now, find these at select international retailers.

This Is How Nike Air Is Made (Video)

Nike created “Nike Air” back in 1977 when an inventor named Frank Rudy presented a crazy idea to Phil Knight: placing air bags inside shoes. Phil went for a test run, and Nike never looked back.

Today Nike is giving us an inside look at what goes into making “Air” via their Nike Air Manufacturing Innovation building. The Nike Air Manufacturing Innovation building, and its counterpart in St. Charles, Missouri have created a combined 3.5 billion Nike Air units, which takes a workforce of 1,300 highly skilled people, running around the clock, to make it happen. Get a small glimpse of how Nike breathes life into Nike Air with a look at this video named ?Fresh Air from Oregon? which provides an inside look into Nike?s Air Manufacturing Innovation facility.

With Air Max Day right around the corner, along with the highly anticipated debut of the Nike Air VaporMax, the timing couldn’t be any better.
