What Makes A Nike RevolutionAir We Asked Two Of Them

To help celebrate Air Max Day 2017, Nike tapped the minds of twelve RevolutionAirs from around the globe to take part in unique design project, tasking each creative individual to give Air Max a fresh perspective. Nike unveiled all of these radical design concepts last Thursday evening, giving the power to the public to Vote Forward one of these dozen for a release in 2018.

Many have asked – why him or her? We were fortunate enough to chat with Sean Wotherspoon and Kyle Ng, two of the RevolutionAirs, and we simply asked them – what makes them a RevolutionAir? See what they said below, and vote for Sean or Kyle’s design here.

Nike Created A Casual Shoe Based Off The Flyknit Racer

After all the popularity that the Flyknit Racer has had through the years, it’s a surprise that it’s taken this long for Nike to create a strictly lifestyle edition of the sleek and speedy silhouette. Perhaps finally conceding to the fact that more people wear the shoe for casual purposes than performance, Nike finally drops a casual-minded reiteration of the Flyknit Racer, dubbed the Dualtone Racer. Keeping the same shape as the Flyknit Racer, the Dualtone Racer remodels the original model with a suede upper and smoothed-out midsole, previewed here in an Oatmeal colorway. Enjoy your first preview of the Dualtone Racer today, and stay tuned for release information.

Nike Spent $15,000 To Make Shoes Big Enough For This College Basketball Player

How much does it cost to create size 22 sneakers? Well about $22,000.

Florida State center Michael Ojo who stands at 7? 1? wears a size 22 7E shoe which happens to be a very rare size and as a result not easy to obtain. So in order to lace him up in shoes that properly fit his feet, Nike had to spend $15,000 to build a machine to make the specially designed shoes for Ojo. Just for comparison, Shaq also wears a size 22, the Lopez twins wear a size 20, and Kevin Durant wears a size 18.

Release Info For The Nike VaporMax iD On Air Max Day

We’re only a week away from Nike’s annual Air Max Day celebration on March 26th, but this year will be particularly special because it celebrates three decades of visible air technology. While we’ve already received a number of awesome Air Max 1 retros in honor of the occasion, Nike is also rolling out the future of Air Max with the introduction of their latest and greatest creation: the Nike VaporMax.

The Nike VaporMax will debut on NIKEiD this Air Max Day in limited quantities with an homage to the past through a unique Volt outsole unit complete with a contrasting white and red Flyknit upper. This creation is meant to pay homage to the first ever Air Max Day sneaker – the Nike Air Max 1 “3.26” that debuted back in 2014 featuring a head-turning combination of the original OG Sport Red upper with a new-aged Volt midsole and outsole unit. There will also be Multi-Color variations available for your customization, but that’s not all. Nike will roll out their freshly minted AIRMOJIs, a range of graphic icons celebrating the legend of visible air with old school Blue Ribbon Sports logos, vintage Air Max iconography, and much more. We’re still unsure where exactly these will appear on the customizable VaporMax offerings – whether they’ll be limited to the insole or could even appear on the respective tongues, but we’ll have to wait and see.

The NIKEiD VaporMax offerings will be available for a limited time on March 26th via Nike.com.

Do you like the Nike Sock Dart but also wish there was a similar shoe that was just a little more traditionally designed? Then Nike Sportswear has just the thing for you, the all new Arrowz. Get it? More Images Of The Nike Sock Dart 2

We gave you a first look yesterday, now we’ve got even more images (and colorways) of the Nike Sock Dart 2 to share with you.

The biggest change/difference on the sequel the the Sock Dart was the decision to remove the midfoot strap and replace it with laces. The shoe still comes with a TPU cage on the side panels, but like we just mentioned, it’s no longer a strap. The textile upper comes equipped with synthetic overlays noted on both the heel and toe. Branding appears on the tongue pull tab as well as on the side panels, while the sole of the shoe appears to be very similar to the build of the original Sock Dart. Although some international retailers already have these up for grabs, there is still no official stateside release date. Early rumors suggest that the Nike Sock Dart 2 could be dropping sometime next month.

Nike Unveils The LeBron Soldier 10 FlyEase

Nike has unveiled their latest FlyEase sneaker today with the introduction of the LeBron Soldier 10 FlyEase. While the earliest iterations of FlyEase focused on replacing traditional lacing systems with something more accessible, the already lace-less Soldier 10 model expands the platform to consider another opportunity: improved entry.

Working closely with athletes of all abilities, Tobie Hatfield and his team reimagined the Soldier 10 as a shoe that opens up from the midfoot, all the way through the heel counter. Once zipped, the shoe?s original Velcro straps ? with the same powerful grade of adhesion used to keep LeBron James?s foot contained ? envelope the foot and provide a secure, adjustable lockdown to maximize fit and comfort. The LeBron Soldier 10 FlyEase also features an upgrade to the zipper, which lies at a flatter angle than previous FlyEase shoes and allows for an easier pull around the ankle.

LeBron James has served as a supportive ambassador for FlyEase since its inception. ?It?s about us empowering every kid and everybody to understand that we are all athletes,? he says. ?For myself and Nike to be able to collaborate on a project like this has been special since the very first time it was brought to the table.?

James invited patients from Cleveland Clinic Children?s Hospital for Rehabilitation to the Cleveland Cavaliers practice facility to celebrate the launch of the new Soldier 10 FlyEase. James spent time personally connecting with the kids while showing the advantages of the FlyEase in his shoe, which benefits athletes of all abilities and ages.

The LeBron Soldier 10 FlyEase is available now in both adult and young athlete sizes in three different colorways directly from Nike.com.

Paul George Wore This Bold New Colorway Of The Nike PG 1 Last Night

The Pacers took an L against the Raptors last night, but Paul George made sure he looked good while doing so as he was seen wearing a brand new colorway of the Nike PG 1.

Arguably the boldest and most vibrant pair of the PG 1s we’ve seen thus far, this version comes with a Black upper offset by the Blue and Purple hits noted on the midsole, Nike Swoosh and strap. If you take a closer look at the Swoosh, you will see that it comes with a crack on it, something we’ve yet to see on past PG 1 colorways. Could this be a future release with some kind of theme that correlates to the colors and crack on the Swoosh? Only time will tell. Stay tuned as more info on this potential release begins to surface.

Nike Debuts The LeBron Soldier 10 FlyEase

The Nike LeBron Soldier 10 may go down as one of LeBron James’ best Nike shoes ever. Although not technically part of the signature line, the Soldier 10 demanded that sig-level respect due to its attractive design and the fact that LeBron’s greatest triumph as a pro baller came while wearing these shoes. Today, the Soldier 10 legend continues to grow as Nike unveils the FlyEase version of this shoe.

The LeBron Soldier 10 FlyEase provides accessibility to everyone regardless of disability. With a new zipper construction, the LeBron Soldier 10 FlyEase features an easier pull around the ankle.

LeBron himself spent time with a number of children at the Cleveland Clinic Children?s Hospital for Rehabilitation, inviting them to the Cavaliers practice facility. There, he presented each youth with a pair of the new FlyEase shoes,

The Nike LeBron Soldier 10 FlyEase is available now on Nike.com in Royal Blue for both adults and kids. Release info for additional colorways will be announced soon.

Nike Spent $15,000 To Make These Giant Shoes For A College Basketball Player

Imagine having feet so big that Nike had to build special equipment just to make shoes for you. That’s exactly the case for Michal Ojo of Florida State, who wears size 22. Rivaling Shaq’s famously gigantic feet, the huge-footed 7’1″ big man couldn’t find any shoes that fit him, so Nike generously coughed up approximately $15,000 to build special equipment to make sure Ojo had shoes that fit him comfortably. Of course, 15 grand is pocket change to Nike, but it’s still nice to see that they value the players at their schools enough to make the extra effort for the starting center’s comfort.
