Nike Zoom Spiridon Ultra Wolf Grey

The updated ‘Ultra’ version of the Nike Zoom Spiridon is coming out in full force this spring, as today we get a look at another excellent rendition of the shoe in “Wolf Grey.” Following the new Team Red and OG blue colorways we’ve seen already this spring, the new seamless construction of the Spiridon with more foam on the sole gets Nike’s classic shade of Wolf Grey across the upper with white accents and reflective detailing for a fresh spring and summer look. The Wolf Grey Spiridons will be arriving soon at select Nike Sportswear retailers and Nike.com.
The Nike Kobe AD NXT is a crazy looking shoe. Eric Avar is the man behind the shoe, and he has all kinds of high-concepts and Zen inspirations to back up the unique Flyknit shroud and drawstring lace construction that debuts this coming April. That’s not even the craziest Nike Kobe silhouette out on the market though, as the Nike Kobe 11 ALT recently arrived overseas.
The Nike Kobe 11 ALT benefits from a Glove-esque shroud construction with an asymmetrical zipper for lockdown support. The tech material is similar to that found on the Nike KD 9 Elite’s new ankle collar and is lightweight and breathable enough to cover a traditional Kobe 11 lacing system that even boasts Multi-Color accents underneath for a hidden premium feature. Metallic Gold does most of the branding duties while 3M reflective material hits the zipper and heel for a truly futuristic look. The Nike VaporMax Asphalt Releases April 27th In The U.S.

The Nike VaporMax made quite the impact last weekend, and while the three debut colorways are sold out, there’s still plenty to look forward to from Nike’s new revolution of the old visible air staple. After we learned that the Nike VaporMax “Asphalt” would be releasing on April 27th in Japan and on May 3rd in Europe, we assumed that stateside availability would come sometime in mid-May. Luckily, we won’t have to wait that long as the Nike VaporMax Asphalt will also be available on April 27th for $190 USD. The VaporMax Asphalt colorway features an array of Dark Grey, Wolf Grey, and Black as an homage to the neutral colored city streets, making this pair perfect for performance use or an understated lifestyle flex. The Nike Basketball Summer Pack Drops Next Thursday

Nike Basketball is already looking ahead to a summer full of hooping with their coming “Summer Pack” featuring some of their finest performance silhouettes, each slated to release at retailers next Thursday, April 6th. The collection includes that premium White/Gum Kobe AD featuring off-white leather and a matching engineered mesh for a look that should just as fitting for casual purposes as for emulating no.24 on the asphalt in the coming months. While most of the focus in the Mamba world remains on that head-turning new Nike Kobe AD NXT, the fact that this performer is just $160 when compared to the $200 Flyknit counterpart is reason enough to consider purchasing a pair. The KD 9 Elite gets a matching Light Bone overhaul as well, featuring accents of teal on that full-length Zoom Air outsole with an updated slip-on upper to add more comfort when compared to the baseline KD 9. The Kyrie 3 could be the fan favorite here for its simple array of speckles and premium leather Swoosh. But the talk of the hooping world remains on the PG 1 and its eclectic use of lifestyle-grade materials, seen here in the form of nappy suede Swoosh branding and synthetic croc-leather. The newly launched skate brand Numbers, of legendary pros Eric Koston and Guy Mariano, has joined forces with Nike SB to create this luxe rendition of the Blazer Low AC.
Rendered in vibrant team red, the classic low-top sneaker boasts plush suede throughout its upper, while its slip-on design is punctuated by three adjustable straps.
Further detailed with leather accents on the branded heel tab and miniature Swooshes across its sides, the model is topped off with a crisp white full-length rubber sole unit.

Yeah, that’s probably the real April Fool’s joke. Everybody knows the Royals are dropping on Saturday and judging from all the release calendars and retailers that will have the kicks, it shouldn’t be too hard to cop them. They’ll be a lot easier than the KAWS x Air Jordan 4, assuming you don’t already have those safely secured at this point.

Renz Ofiaza, News: (BUY) Not just because of its exclusivity, but I really like the monochromatic look and just the overall makeup. That glow-in-the-dark outsole is a nice touch too.
Juan Carrillo, News: (BUY) When’s the last time a Jordan release has garnered this much hype? Although the design of the shoe was not what I anticipated (was hoping for more of a dissected KAWS Companion motif), the decision to give the collab a much more subtle look, makes it much more versatile and easier to wear. To me, this is a collector’s piece so it’s a must-have if you’re given the chance to cop (regardless of the price). Who says Jordans are played out? Ha.
Andres Carrillo, News: (BUY) If you’re a real KAWS fans then it would be dope to have these in your collection. Heard these are reselling for about $2,000 though and since I haven’t really been exposed to KAWS or his work, all I see when I look at this shoe are dollar $IGN$.
EIC Juan: (BUY) Same deal as the KAWS but to a lesser extent because it’s a general release and there is a small chance these won’t sell out immediately. I am considering the insole swap with Lunar and wearing them out.
Renz: (BUY) You really can’t go wrong with a classic, especially this iconic pair.
News Juan: (BUY) Where’s the option for two pairs? One of my favorite Jordan 1 colorways of all-time. Love the fact that it’s using the same type of leather as the Breds from last year. One of the few Jordans from this year that is considered a must-cop IMO. Good luck getting a pair!
Andres: (BUY) Much like the Bred 1s that I was able to pick up last year, I’ve never owned a pair of Royal 1s and I DEFINITELY need me a pair (or two). Glad the quality is on point. Jordan Brand did a great job with this shoe.

Renz: (WAIT) I’m not really interested in the first colorways. Design-wise, it’s not that bad either. I like how the sleekness is still there and I’m looking forward to more iterations.
News Juan: (PASS) That’s gonna be a hard pass for me…..I’m kidding, it’s the easiest pass from this list. Not really sure what Nike was thinking with this new version of the AD, but I’m definitely not a fan of the end result.
Andres: (WAIT) From looking at the official images, I think I like this NXT version better than the original Kobe AD. The Wolf Grey pair is decent, but I think better colorways are coming down the line so I’ll wait.
Renz: (PASS) I fell off the WWE world many years ago but if this released back then, I would have considered it for sure. Overall, I like the classic silhouette utilized and maintaining a versatile look.
News Juan: (BUY) Love the idea, but the execution and outcome was not what I envisioned in my head. I’m a fan of the Clyde and I’m a fan of the WWE. The artwork on the insoles is really dope and so are the custom laces and special packaging. But I feel like the shoe needs a little something extra in order to really stand out. Think about it, once you put your foot on the shoe, your feet is on top of the artwork and the shoe it ends up looking like any other Puma Clyde sans the laces (and little mic logo). I’d have no problem paying good money for a Puma Clyde with dope art on the outside of the shoe, but to have it only on the insoles is a bit of a let down.
Andres: (PASS) This collaboration had SO much potential, but I think it fell short. I like the graphic insoles, but what happens when you actually wear the shoe? You won’t even be able to tell that it’s a wrestling-inspired sneaker. The uppers should have been filled with colors and different materials that make us think of our favorite wrestlers. Great idea by PUMA and WWE, but I don’t like the execution. I’d rather buy the Ultimate Warrior shirt from the collection because it’s obviously the best thing from the collection.
Air Jordan 1 Low Premium

EIC Juan: (PASS) In comparison to the previous premium Air Jordan Low release, it’s hard for me to take these at face value after seeing how much better they looked without a swoosh. That’s right, the Air Jordan 1 Low needs to take an entirely different path now and just go swoosh-less in order to breathe some life into the silhouette.
Renz: (PASS) Other than the No Swoosh version, I’m not that keen on this silhouette in low-cut form. Solid colorways though, but an easy pass for me.
News Juan: (PASS) That Vachetta Tan leather hit on the heel and tongue…Put it on the entire shoe and I’ll be in line to purchase a pair. As is, this is an easy pass.
Andres: (PASS) These Jordan 1s remind me of the “Swoosh-less” pairs that released last year. Not a huge fan of the Jordan 1 Low, especially not in tonal colorways. I’ll pass.

EIC Juan: (WAIT) So wildly different from anything out there at the moment that I feel these have the potential to be a sleeper hit. Alexander Wang really did something unique and special with these and I can’t wait to see them in person. I just don’t see them selling out immediately because of the prohibitive $260 price tag and with everybody trying to chase the KAWS and the Royal 1s this weekend, I can sit back and wait for the price to drop and cop at a later date.
Renz: (PASS) I admire Alexander Wang’s approach but the design looks too abrupt with the the sharpness of the lines. I don’t think it’s a bad-looking pair. I’m not that really into it that much.
News Juan: (PASS) It’s different and I appreciate that, but it’s not really something I see myself wearing often (or ever). Bonus points for giving the shoe some Boost!
Andres: (PASS) Too many people are bashing these. I’m not saying that I would actually buy them, but they’re not that bad. I can’t pull them off, but I know that certain people will be able to.

EIC Juan: (PASS) From afar, it’s another Triple Black Ultra Boost. Up close, it’s… another Triple Black Ultra Boost but with fancier parts.
Renz: (PASS) The silhouette and colorway is pretty solid and I like the cageless look. I’m just not interested really but it’ll be sought after for sure.
News Juan: (BUY) Very cool. The shoe has just enough changes to differentiate it from a normal Triple Black UB Uncaged. The leather hits, most notably on the heel counter are things I really appreciate in this collab.
Andres: (PASS) Another all black Ultra Boost? I think we’ve had enough of these for a while. Give us something with more color, adidas.

The Air Woven Is Another Nike Shoe Years Ahead Of Its Time

The sneaker trend that is currently taking the world by storm is the easy-to-wear slip-on style with no laces and a glove-like fit. adidas is, of course, dishing out some of the more popular options right now like the adidas NMD and Ultra Boost, both of which happen to be top sellers and major factors in the German sportswear brand’s swift upswing. The truth is, Nike was producing this style of sneaker for decades, but the Air Woven that first debuted in 2000 was the true lifestyle-focused model that shifted trends long before we knew they existed.
The Air Woven was originally a hand-made shoe that dropped exclusively in Japan, eventually making its way to other fashion capitals like New York City and London. It turned heads immediately thanks to the strange textile pattern, but the shoe was more than a looker as it featured Air cushioning and a form-fitting upper. It laid the groundwork for woven uppers and profoundly influenced the development of Flyknit.
The Air Woven was never a mainstream shoe; it was definitely niche and appealed to fashion circles and eventually sneakerheads who chased after Japan-exclusive releases. Over the years, Nike sporadically released new Woven colorways and this Spring, it appears that a slew of colorways are in the books. Approximately one year after LeBron James made the biggest block in NBA history and led the Cleveland Cavaliers to the greatest comeback in NBA Finals history, Nike will launch the 11th iteration of the LeBron Soldier – a follow-up to last year’s monumental LeBron Soldier 10. The Soldier 10 is arguably the most significant sneaker in the Nike LeBron history simply based on the circumstances of the series and what it meant to his already illustrious career, so hopes are high for the Soldier XI, which is set to debut in June. The Nike KD 10, Kevin Durant’s 10th signature shoe with Nike, is set for a release on June 5th, 2017 according to overseas retailers. Currently there are no photos of the shoes and pricing has not yet been revealed, but we expect the retail price to stay at the current $150 mark that is set for the KD 9 and KD 9 Elite. Should be expect a Flyknit upper and full-length Zoom, or will Nike opt for something a bit more minimal like the PG1? More importantly, will Kevin Durant debut the KD 10 during the Playoffs and perhaps the NBA Finals? Stay tuned for updates and mark your calendars for June for the debut of the KD 10.
The Nike KD 9 Elite may be built for battle on the court, but this upcoming colorway is as soft as a lamb with its Pale Grey and Ivory combination of Flyknit, Flywire, and the stretchy ankle wrap. The serious sneaker gets the pristine look up top, complemented with a gum rubber outsole and the addition of some color with the light blue Zoom Air fibers that are visible in the midsole. Get an official look at the “Ivory” KD 9 Elite here today, and mark that April 6th release date on your calendars if you’re trying to pick up a pair. More Nike PG 1 fire coming your way. This time around it’s in the form of an Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) colorway. For those of you not too familiar with EYBL, it’s “Nike’s attempt to put a stronghold on girls basketball. The concept in its purest form makes since, put together the best teams possible, play in a national league where each game is important to your standings, have a playoff system to crown a true champion.”
The Nike PG 1 EYBL opts for a bold motif as the Anthracite upper is contrasted by the colorful inner bootie that utilizes graphics that represent EYBL cities. Additional pops on the shoe include the jeweled-iridescent Nike Swoosh and the speckling on the midsole. Don’t get too hyped though because there don’t appear to be dropping anytime soon, but expect to see them in action as EYBL participants along with Paul George are expected to be rocking these in the near future. The Nike Kobe A.D. NXT Is The Most Unique Basketball Shoe Out Now

Kobe Bryant had a number of advantages when he dominated the game of basketball. For starters, he was physically gifted and trained upwards of 6 hours a day in the off-season, obsessing over the most minute of details to become one of the game’s greats. But perhaps the advantage Kobe favored the most was his mentality which Nike Basketball constantly tries to emulate through sleek, aggressive perfection in shoe form. That’s what we get with the strange yet notable new Nike Kobe AD NXT created by longtime Kobe collaborator and design extraordinaire Eric Avar in an attempt to create a low profile, yet highly responsive silhouette.
The Kobe AD NXT features an unconventional lacing structure meant to give ultimate lockdown support for each foot to go along with a lightweight Flyknit upper. Think of this as the Elite version to Kobe’s twelfth signature sneaker, but with a completely redesigned midsole unit as well. A drop in insole features Lunarlon and a Zoom Air bag. As for that Flyknit shroud, it features a subtle circular knit in an attempt to reference the lotus flower in an homage to the theme of rebirth. This is Kobe and Avar’s reimagining of the entire Black Mamba line for a post-retirement reign.
This Nike Kobe AD NXT Volt will be available at select retailers this Saturday, April 1st with a widespread release alongside the Kobe AD NXT “Wolf Grey” on April 3rd. Each pair retails for $200 USD.
