Another Look At The Nike Mayfly

Nike Mayfly 1 Nike Mayfly 2 Nike Mayfly 3

The Nike Mayfly is making a comeback, and it’s sure to be one of the most unique releases of the year. Unlike today’s sneakers which are built to last, the Mayfly actually has a limited lifespan.

When Nike originally released the shoe, it was built for a “One Day Fly”, in other words, it was meant to last only one race. Created for long distance runners, this model lightweight and flexible that it was built to only last an average of 100km before it starts ?self-destructing? and falling apart. There are several colorways set to release but today we take a look at the University Red option with hits of white placed all over the upper and sole of the shoe. No release date yet but let us know what you think about the shoe.

Author’s Take

While the creative design process is ?different?, I want to get the most bag for my buck. If this shoe is going to give out after 100km (62+ miles), I really don?t think it?s worth purchasing unless I?m running a important marathon or race or something of that nature.

Author’s Take

Even if it’s officially listed for females, the style and colorway on this pair is solid for males as well. I like the revamped composition and the design is timeless.

Author?s Take

We know that Nike will not admit that this is another jab at Kanye but we all know the truth. Out of all three colorways that were inspired by the Yeezy 2 this is probably the most wearable and as a result the best. It?ll be a pass for me though.

Years ago I would consider purchasing, but I’m just over this print. The execution is pretty solid though. I’m still a fan of the design.

Author’s Take

Best part about this colorway is the marbled outsole. Reminds me of a few of the colorways of the KD 8 that have released. And bright kicks are always good for the gym.

Even though it’s officially listed for females, it’s still versatile for all genders in my view. I’m biased towards the profile and this colorway is pretty solid for spring/summer.

One of the best Nike sneakers that made the biggest splash in 2015 was the Nike Air Huarache. It seemed like everywhere you turned you saw men and women rocking the Tinker Hatfield-designed runner.

In 2016 we’ll see more of the same as we’ll be treated to plenty of new colorways of the Nike Air Huarache and other hybrid models inspired by the Huarache. In the images above you see different colorways of the OG Nike Air Huarache, the Nike Air Huarache Light, the Nike Air Huarache Ultra BR, and the Nike Air Huarache Ultra. I don’t really mess with the hybrid Huaraches and I like sticking to the original. Hopefully Nike releases some dope colorways so I can pick up a couple of pairs this year.

Author’s Take

I feel like a similar look like the one you see above is done ever single year. Not to say I don’t like it, it just seems a bit repetitive in my opinon. They’re cool, but I’m going to have to pass on them.

I’m biased towards this silhouette. I just admire its design a lot and build. This colorway is too bright for my taste though but ladies should consider.

The Nike Air Force 1 High OG Now Comes In Summit White And Black

Nike Air Force 1 High 1 Nike Air Force 1 High 2 Nike Air Force 1 High 3 Nike Air Force 1 High 4

Ever since Nike decided to bring back a remastered OG version of the Nike Air Force 1 High, it seems as if they release a brand new colorway every other week. The last colorways we’ve covered consisted of a white/OG Team Red and a Black and White version. This time around the Nike Air Force 1 High OG comes in a Summit White paired up with hits of black to give the shoe that classic and vintage look.

The pictures above show the shoe constructed out of a white premium leather upper accented by the hits of black found on the ankle strap, outsole, tongue branding, OG branding on the heel and Nike Swoosh. White laces and a white midsole complete the crisp look of the shoe. Available internationally, expect to see these stateside in the coming weeks. Cop or not? Let me know what you think.

Author’s Take

I’m a fan of the OG Air Force 1, just not in this colors, it’s a little too plain for my taste. I’d much rather pick up this pair.

NBA 2K16 Kicks: Nike Air Foamposite Pro Pure Platinum

In a bit of surprising news, the Nike Air Foamposite Pro Pure Platinum is dropping tomorrow, a few days ahead of its original release date. The Yeezy-inspired colorway (because what else could it be other than a Kanye troll?) will no doubt be as popular as the other Foams that have dropped with a backstory. It’s got everything a sneakerhead could want from the clean Pure Platinum Foam shell to the glow-in-the-dark outsole. The only that’s missing is for us to bring the game to NBA 2K16 and have take a bunch of screenshots with J.R. Smith doing well, J.R. Smith things. Like take ill-advised three-pointers from Steph Curry distance and celebrate when it miraculously goes in. Wait, what?

NBA 2K16_20160303151613 NBA 2K16_20160303151250 NBA 2K16_20160303151414 NBA 2K16_20160303150845 NBA 2K16_20160303150904 NBA 2K16_20160303150922 NBA 2K16_20160303150945 NBA 2K16_20160303151701

The Pure Platinum Foams translate nicely into the game. There a few inconsistencies like the carbon fiber shank and the tongue and heel tabs not matching up 1:1 to the real shoe, but the most important part is that Foam upper and the swoosh look great in the game itself. With few colors to really mess around with, you’ll have this sneaker in your game in no time flat.

First Look At The Nike Air Force 1 Ultra Flyknit Multicolor 2.0

NIKE AIR FORCE 1 MID FLYKNIT 1 NIKE AIR FORCE 1 MID FLYKNIT 2 NIKE AIR FORCE 1 MID FLYKNIT 3

What did you think about the multicolor colorway of the Nike Air Force 1 Ultra Flyknit Mid? I’ve heard that one of the main reasons people weren’t feeling the shoe as much as they thought they would was because of the white accents found on the sole, eyestay, tongue and strap. If you’re one of the people who passed on the shoe for that very reason, you’re probably going to like the Nike Air Force 1 Ultra Flyknit Multicolor 2.0 better than the first multicolor offering.

This time around the Flyknit on the upper comes in a multicolor offering made up of Crimson, Court Purple and Volt. Instead of white, the base of the shoe opts to come in a black motif to give the shoe a new look. The only part that remained white was the midsole. Is this a look that you prefer on the mid-top? Said to be already be available internationally, these should arrive stateside in the near future.

via: asphaltgold

Author’s Take

I prefer this black-based pair over the white-based pair any day of the week. I could see myself in a pair of these, but if I were to nitpick, I’d probably ask for a brighter Flyknit upper.

The Nike Kyrie 2 Brotherhood is only a few day away from releasing. Today we take a look at the official images of the shoe courtesy of Nike.

This latest colorway of the Nike Kyrie 2 shows love to his college alma mater, Duke University. Although his tenure at Duke was short lived (1 year, 11 games due to injury), there’s no denying that Kyrie still has plenty of love for his school. The Brotherhood colorway is said to be inspired by the Blue Devils away colors as it comes in a cobalt Hyperfuse upper paired up with black and white hits found on the sole and midfoot strap. Branding appears on the strap, midsole and heel of the shoe. Arriving at retailers March 5th for $125, let us know how many of you are planning to pick up a pair.
