An On-Feet Look At The Nike Air Pegasus 89 No Sew

NIKE AIR PEGASUS ?89 1 NIKE AIR PEGASUS ?89 2 NIKE AIR PEGASUS ?89 3

The latest version of the Nike Air Pegasus ?89 has surfaced, and what makes this one different compared to others is the fact that this pair comes with a no sew construction.

This modern take on the Nike silhouette utilizes Hyperfuse mesh and synthetic overlays to take the places of the stitching and sewing you normally see on the shoe, giving the vintage shoe a modern appeal. This colorway comes in a white base offset by the black and bright crimson placed throughout. Available internationally, it’s only a matter of time before we see these drop in the states.

I really like the new sew look because it still manages to have that vintage appeal. Good work on this latest rendition of the Air Pegasus ?89.

Following a recent black/yellow/gold colorway, the new Nike Air Presto Flyknit Ultra is presented in yet another variation this Spring 2016.

Flaunting a bright voltage green hue, this particular offering is actually a women’s model. The eye-catching tone essentially covers the breathable knitted upper and sock-like collar, while also gracing its distinctive TPU lacing cage apparatus and heel unit.

To complement the bold tone, pristine white is utilized for its midsole, while additional neon accents are seen on the laces, pull tabs and portions of its outsole.

If you’re interested in a pair, you can find it at select Nike stores overseas first starting May 5th. A stateside release will follow soon after.

Author’s Take

Even if it’s a women’s pair, I’m sure a few guys would consider purchasing if it’s in their size. I like the silhouette and colorway but, it’s too bright for my taste.

Nike Dunk High QS UNLV

The UNLV Runnin’ Rebels basketball program has one of the most interesting histories of any NCAA school. Once referred to as Tumbleweed Tech given their complete obscurity, the Rebels became an iconic basketball school throughout the late-80s to mid-90s thanks to the contributions of legendary coach Jerry Tarkanian (and some noteworthy recruiting violations). They were reality’s version of Blue Chips essentially. Nike Basketball benefited from the Rebels signing on during that timeframe though, and rewarded the school with their own Nike Dunk High as a part of 1985’s “Be True To Your School” Pack. A premium tumbled leather consisting of Soft Grey and University Red rewarded the school’s Swoosh loyalty and is making a return to stores this month in a coveted Quickstrike. You don’t have to wait until the middle of the month to grab this pair as previously reported either, as the UNLV Dunk Highs are available now from select spots like Sneaker Politics.

Following tonal iterations of the newly-introduced Nike Air Presto Flyknit Ultra, the sneaker receives another colorway for Spring 2016, this time in a bolder execution.

Black and yellow comprises the sneaker’s distinctive breathable knitted upper and sock-like collar, while lavish hits of metallic gold are implemented on the model’s signature lacing apparatus, as well as the toe cap which provides reinforcement.

To complement the vivid tones, a crisp white midsole is utilized, in addition to more black and yellow hits throughout the sole unit to perfectly coordinate with its colorway. More accents of white are seen on the laces, pull tabs and miniature Swoosh embroidery on the toe box.

You can find this pair at select Nike accounts overseas starting May 5th, although stay tuned in for the announcement of its arrival stateside.

Author’s Take

I haven’t bought a pair yet but I’m looking forward to. The colorway is pretty solid and I would’ve preferred it more with lesser yellow accents. It’s still a nice pair.

Nike Brings Back Michigan Dunk Highs

The Nike Dunk High was the shoe to wear if you were a collegiate basketball player in the late 1980s. It was the time right before the Air Jordan 1s dropped to change the entire landscape of hoops sneakerdom, and Peter Moore’s design reigned supreme in the world of college hoops. Originally planned to be called the College Color High given the numerous colorways referencing different Nike-affiliated programs, the shoe hit its peak with the “Be True To Your School” Pack in 1985. Now Nike Sportswear is bringing back some of those iconic colorways with Michigan’s Navy and Varsity Maize pair standing out as a relic of years past. The Wolverine’s Dunk High features a vibrant yellow base with navy leather panels contrasting. The only hint of subtlety can be found on the clean midsole for good measure. Check out a better look at Michigan’s iconic Nike Dunk High below and know that select retailers like Sneaker Politics are stocking this pair today.

No matter how “old” or “played out” some people say the Nike Roshe Run has gotten, there’s still lots of people out there that consider it a classic sneaker that is praised for how easily it can be worn and how comfortable it is.

Nike really hit a homerun when they decided to give the lifestyle runner a whole new look and feel by outfitting it with a Flyknit upper. Returning for the Spring are some fresh new colorways of the Nike Flyknit Roshe Run NM. Today we take a look at a new all-black pair that literally covers the entire Flyknit upper in Black including the laces, branding, and inner liner. Down below we have the contrasting Natural Motion midsole that has been done in white.

If you’re still a fan of Roshes you can scoop up this pair at select Nike retailers now for $120.

Author’s Take

I own a ton of Roshe Run but non with a Flyknit upper yet. I like this pair but with a Flyknit upper I’d prefer something with some color.

Another bright and bold colorway of the Nike Air Footscape Magista will be heading our way this Spring that will join the likes of the Bright Crimson and Deep Royal pairs.

With Spring/Summer vibes felt all throughout this upcoming colorway, this iteration of the Nike Air Footscape Magista comes covered in Gorge Green on the majority of the breathable Flyknit upper with black and white accents scattered throughout different areas of the shoe. Subtle hits of gum land on the outsole to give this shoe that “lifestyle” look.

Releasing on May 12th at select Nike retailers, what are your thoughts on this Gorge Green colorway of the Footscape Magista?

via: Lapstone & Hammer

Author’s Take

Just like the Free Flyknit Mercurial, I’ve had my eyes on the Air Footscape Magista for quite some time now. This is a nice shade of green but I wouldn’t pull the trigger on buying a pair.

The Nike Free Flyknit Mercurial Goes Triple White

LHFreeFlyknitMercurialWhtWhtIG-4 LHFreeFlyknitMercurialWhtWhtIG-3 LHFreeFlyknitMercurialWhtWhtIG-2 LHFreeFlyknitMercurialWhtWhtIG-1

In the last few weeks we’ve given you some looks at a couple of different dark colorways of the Nike Free Flyknit Mercurial, one in black/white and the other in black/blue.

Since Summer is right around the corner you know it was only a matter of time until Nike gave us an all-white colorway, so here it is. We think a good name for this Free Flyknit Mercurial would be Triple White since it’s literally dressed in white from head to toe. The only hits of color come on the heel pull tab which is pink/red and the speckling on the midsole which is black.

You can look for this Triple White colorway of the Nike Free Flyknit Mercurial to arrive at select Nike retailers beginning on May 12th.

via: Lapstone & Hammer

Author’s Take

I’ve had my eye on the Nike Free Flyknit Mercurial for quite some time now. But if I were to ever pick up a colorway it definitely wouldn’t be all-white. I’d need something with a lot more color.

Another Look At The Nike Cortez 1972 Pack

Nike Cortez 72 3 Nike Cortez 72 2 Nike Cortez 72 1

Nike just released a fresh pack of the Nike Cortez that consists of two tonal colorways.

Known as the Nike Cortez 1972, this pack pays homage to the early beginnings of the Nike Cortez which made its first appearance at the 1972 Olympic Games. Both pairs come in a leather and nylon construction with extra large “1972” embroidering on the heels and your choice of all-black or all-white.

Both pairs can be purchased at select Nike retailers now for $75 each. So if you’re a fan of the Cortez model don’t sleep.

via: Lapstone & Hammer

Author’s Take

I’ve never been a fan of the Nike Cortez. I just don’t like the the overall shape of the upper and the ridges on the outsole. These are a pass on my end.

Dark Concord Is The Next Color To Land On The Nike Air Force 1 High OG

Nike Air Force 1 High OG Dark Concord 1 Nike Air Force 1 High OG Dark Concord 2 Nike Air Force 1 High OG Dark Concord 3 Nike Air Force 1 High OG Dark Concord 4

When St. Patrick’s Day came around we saw a green and white colorway of the Nike Air Force 1 High OG. That was then followed by a Black/Sail soon after.

If you’re a fan of these remastered Air Force 1s then you’ll be happy to know that more colorways will be releasing with the latest pair taking on a bright look. Dark Concord canvas covers the next Air Force 1 with Sail detailing on the Swoosh, midsole, laces, tongue patch, ankle strap and the Nike branding on the heel.

Set to arrive at select European retailers this weekend, stay tuned to Kicks On Fire to find out if and when these will be dropping stateside.

via: Solebox

Author’s Take

This pair would have looked better if the colors were switched around. White should have been the dominant color and Dark Concord should have been the accent color. I’m not really a fan of purple shoe.
