Nike has just created a new colorway of the Nike Zoom Vapor Tour 9.5 for tennis legend Roger Federer. Whether Federer will be playing in the upcoming French Open is still unknown because of injuries, but he has a special pair of kicks waiting on him if he does decide to play.

Covered in Obsidian throughout the majority of the upper, this Zoom Vapor Tour 9.5 is then accented by bright hits of Hyper Cobalt on the tongue, laces, inner liner and outsole. Total Crimson then lands on the midsole while a White Swoosh adds a nice pop to the tennis sneaker.

If you’re a fa of this colorway of the Nike Zoom Vapor Tour 9.5 you can cop now at select Nike retailers as well as nike.com for a retail price of $140.

Even though I’m not really a fan of this model, this is a pretty clean colorway. The use of Hyper Cobalt and Total Crimson provide a nice pop of color.

It has too much of a Cortez influence for my liking. The shoe is clean if you like that look, but since I’ not too fond of the style, it’s still a pass for me.

Find Out The Inspiration Behind This Upcoming Colorway Of The Nike Kobe 11

Nike Kobe 11 Wolf Grey 2 Nike Kobe 11 Wolf Grey 3 Nike Kobe 11 Wolf Grey 5 Nike Kobe 11 Wolf Grey 6 Nike Kobe 11 Wolf Grey 4 Nike Kobe 11 Wolf Grey 1 Nike Kobe 11 Wolf Grey 7 Nike Kobe 11 Wolf Grey 8

After getting a couple of different looks at this upcoming colorway of the Nike Kobe 11, today we get the official story/inspiration behind this unique colorway.

According to Nike, Kobe would pore over videotaped basketball games sent by his grandfather in the US, then practice every cut and drive. This was of course at a time when Kobe was living in Italy where he grew up. Taking inspiration from these viewing sessions, this new kids-only Kobe 11 features the distinctive look of old-school VHS color bars. The Wolf Grey upper is also meant to look like the fuzzy screen that you see on old tapes. This Kobe 11 features a woven mesh upper along with Black accents on the tongue, laces, inner liner and the Nike Swoosh branding.

Releasing on May 27th for a retail price of $135, do you plan on picking up a pair for the little ones?

Author’s Take

Now the we know the story/inspiration behind this colorway I understand the colorful bars on the heel. Pretty dope concept, I just think Nike should have released them in men’s sizes as well.

Its Not Too Late To Pick Up The Latest Colorways Of The Nike Dunk High Be True Pack

NIKE DUNK 1 NIKE DUNK 2 NIKE DUNK 3

There were several Air Jordan/Nike releases to choose from this weekend. One of the drops that appeared to fly under the radar is was the Nike Dunk High Be True To Your School pack. When I initially saw the images of both pair, the first thing that caught my eye was the quality of the leather used on the uppers. It’s been a cool minute since I’ve seen a Nike Dunk look this good material-wise, which is the main reason I’m surprised these didn’t sell out in a matter of minutes.

With that being said, both the Nike Dunk High UNLV coming in Red and Grey and the Nike Dunk Michigan rocking the Navy and Yellow look are readily available at select retailers such as BSTN for. If quality is your thing, I highly suggest you pick these up. Don’t sleep on these classic colorways.

via: BSTN

Author’s Take

I was really close to scooping up the Michigan colorway this weekend. The only thing that stopped me was the fact that I don’t think the Dunk High is a very comfortable shoe. I’ve been really selective when it comes to picking up shoes that aren’t to my comfort standards. There’s no denying that the leather is on point though! Nice to see these back.

Nike Flyknit Was Used To Make These Drums

Did you think that Nike’s Flyknit technology was only used to make shoes? Well think again because a man by the name of Martino Gamper has created a drum kit using the innovative material.

In the video above designer Martino Gamper talks about a project he worked on at the Nike Nature Of Motion Exhibition in Milan where he used Nike’s Flyknit material. Gamper took the Flyknit and used it in place of traditional skins on drum sets which resulted in what you see in the video above. Gamper created three different sets of drums. Gamper goes on to say that “for this project he wanted to explore the idea of rhythm. The rhythm in running, the rhythm in drumming, the rhythm in music.”

Check out the video above to see more of these Flyknit drums in action.

An Uncaged Nike Air Presto Check It Out Here!

nike-presto-uncaged nike-presto-uncaged-1

We recently came across a new Nike Air Presto custom. This wasn’t your ordinary custom though. No paint was involved. As a matter of fact, this is the type of custom that removes parts of the shoe to give it a brand new look. What you see above is a Nike Air Presto with its caging system removed. The new look gives is a minimal aesthetic that we all know is popular nowadays.

Could this recent custom be something Nike would ever consider releasing? Although I don’t have answer for that, I know for a fact that many people would be interested in seeing these go for sale.

I wouldn’t be against it. It looks dope!

The Nike Air Presto GS Pink / Ghost Green Is On The Way

Nike Air Presto 1 Nike Air Presto 2 Nike Air Presto 3

An exclusive GS colorway of the Nike Air Presto is on the way. Having already arrived internationally, today we get our first look at the bold and vibrant Nike Air Presto GS Pink / Ghost Green.

Coming in a Pink mesh upper, the Presto gets ever bolder by adding hits of Ghost Green noted on the Nike branding hits all over the shoe. In an attempt to balance things out a bit, a White midsole and Grey caging system come into play. It’s also worth noting that this version of the Presto is classified as a Breeze version, meaning that the shoe will probably be a bit more breathable than what you’re used to seeing from the model. Available internationally, it’s only a matter of time before the drop in the states.

Spring/Summer is meant for bright and bold sneakers. If you’re the type that likes to rock all-pink sneakers, this is a dope model to do it with.

Later this year we’ll be able to add another silhouette to the Flyknit collection with the Nike Air Max 1 Ultra Flyknit. There’s a new colorway of the highly popular Nike Air Foamposite Pro scheduled to release later this Summer.

After seeing the release of the Nike Air Foamposite Pro University Red last month, Nike keeps things in the tonal department and now dresses up the retro basketball sneaker with a Hyper Cobalt upper. In addition to the bright blue upper, we see contrasting Black accents land on the jewel Swoosh, tongue, laces, inner liner, and on the leather eyestay and ankle. For those of you that are familiar with your Foamposites, this is the same colorway as the Ben Gordon PE pair that he wore back in the day.

Take a look at new images of the Nike Air Foamposite Pro Hyper Cobalt that will release on August 26th for a retail price of $230. Will you cop?

Author’s Take

I’m a fan of royal blue so this is one of the nicer pairs of Foams that has released this year in my opinion. Will I cop? Probably not since I’m not a fan of the silhouette.

Another variation of the Nike Free Hypervenom Low is revealed for Spring 2016, as the soccer hybrid sneaker has been treated in a timeless hue of all-white.

Composed of breathable mesh across the majority of its upper to promote sufficient ventilation and a lightweight feel, tonal synthetic overlays adorn along its eyelets, collar section and rear portion to solidify its overall build.

A matching leather tongue with perforations further enhances breathability, while it all rests atop a comfortable full-length sole unit.

Rounded out with laces and subtle metallic silver Swooshes located across its heel tabs, you can purchase this pair at select Nike accounts overseas first.

Author’s Take

I’ve never purchased a pair but I am a fan of its design. This variation is a quintessential summer sneaker and I’m pretty tempted. If you’re looking for a different style of all-white sneakers, this should be it.

A Detailed Look At The Most Unexpected fragment design x NikeLab Collaboration Yet

It’s pretty safe to say that not a single hypebeast or reseller has bought a pair single pair of the Nike HyperRev 2016 performance basketball shoe the entire year it’s been out. But that’s about to change, because fragment design is about to launch their own three colorways of the shoe. With coveted collabs like the Air Jordan 1 and Sock Darts, the track record of Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment design label speaks for itself, and has guaranteed that any sneaker they release now will have interest from the hype-loving masses. Fujiwara goes with his usual color treatment on the trio of HyperRevs, featuring a solid hued upper with minimal accenting colors for each. In this case, your options are grey/navy, black, white, and a decidedly more vibrant Volt/white, each with tonal fragment branding across the strap. Reportedly releasing this Friday in Europe, stay tuned for a confirmed US release date.
