Jordan Brand is set to drop a brand new Air Jordan 1 Mid that pays tribute to Michael Jordan’s six championships with the Chicago Bulls. Dropping later on this year, let’s get a closer look.

Said to be a grade school exclusive of the model, this Air Jordan 1 Mid is given mismatched color blocking while also being constructed in a mix of mesh, corduroy, smooth leather, and tumbled leather. Design details include the use of corduroy on the Swooshes and ankle collar, a smooth leather use for the base, tumbles leather on the overlays and mesh on the tongues and lining. The sneaker’s most notable feature is without a doubt the tongue’s design that houses Jordan?s six championships with the Chicago Bulls. When it comes to the actual colors used on the sneakers, those happen to be the team colors of all the teams he beat in the NBA Finals. A White midsole and a colorful-camouflage rubber outsole complete the look.

This Air Jordan 1 Mid GS has no official release date yet, but current reports have these releasing in the coming months. Stay tuned.

This women’s colorway of the Air Jordan 5 comes dressed in a Photon Dust, Black, Diffused Blue, and Pale Ivory color scheme. The Air Jordan 5 is given a Photon Dust upper with contrasting Diffused Blue accents. Elsewhere you will find co-branding on the tongue labels and an aged semi-translucent outsole that matches the aesthetics of the side and tongue netting. Below you will get a good look at the newest signature sneaker from the Air Jordan line, the Air Jordan 38. Jordan Brand athlete and UCLA guard Kiki Rice was actually the first person spotted wearing the sneakers in a game during the Sweet 16 matchup between UCLA Bruins and South Carolina Gamecocks.

The Air Jordan 38 is previewed in the “Fundamental” colorway consisting of a White, Black, and Siren Red color scheme. The model is given a mid-top build, this colorway is given a White base with Black overlay panels along the mudguard as well as going up to the ankle area. A pop of color is added to the sneaker via the Red contrasting accents, while Jumpman logos appear on the tongues, heels, and insole all while being on top of a translucent outsole. When it comes to the actual tech of the sneaker such as the cushioning and materials used on the upper, that has yet to be announced.

UPDATE (7/3): Jordan Brand has officially unveiled the Air Jordan 38. This is what they has to say about the latest Air Jordan signature sneaker:

• The Air Jordan 38 introduces the X-Plate, a new plate technology drawn from the insights of Michael Jordan?s impeccable footwork. The X-Plate, which is a nod to the straps on the Air Jordan VIII, is combined with a radial herringbone traction pattern and a full-length Zoom Strobel unit.
• The upper is made with a unique backless embroidery and doubles as a canvas for highlighting Michael Jordan?s performance in the 1993 championship series.
• The Air Jordan 38 is the most sustainably made Air Jordan signature shoe in Jordan Brand history, made of at least 20 percent recycled material by weight.

Built to serve intricate footwork, the shoe is designed low to the ground so players can have more court feel during pivots, cuts and defensive slides. The new X-Plate, which is a nod to the straps on the Air Jordan VIII, keeps the foot over the footbed during sharp movements. A radial herringbone traction pattern works with a full-length Zoom Strobel unit and full-length Cushlon 3.0 foam for just the right amount of responsive cushioning. The outrigger helps secure the foot for lateral movements. The X-Plate continues a long line of Jordan-exclusive development in its plate technology, from the Flight Plate to the Eclipse Plate to the IsoPlate.

The backless embroidery over the forefoot area in the upper helps secure the foot. The upper doubles as a canvas for highlighting Michael Jordan?s performance in the 1993 championship series, when he averaged almost 41 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists on 50 percent field goal percentage. The embroidered upper features specific areas calling out those stats. For example, 41 crosshatches on the collar represent Jordan?s 41-points-per-game average for the series. Three diamonds on the medial side symbolize the Chicago franchise?s third consecutive championship.

The Air Jordan 38 in the Fundamental colorway will release on August 18 on jordan.com and at select global retailers.

Jordan Brand gets artistic with this new “Born To Fly” iteration of the Air Jordan 1 Low. Done in Black, Sail, White, Fitness Red, Iron Grey, and Shock Yellow, this Air Jordan 1 Low begins with a Black leather construction all over the upper with grey hitting the tongues and red seen on the inner liners. The highlight of this Air Jordan 1 Low is the flame Swooshes on the side panels along with penciled illustrations of skaters and hand signs on the medial as well as “Born To Fly” written by the Swoosh. Additional details include red Jumpman and Wings branding on the tongues and heels, additional illustrations on the inner tongues, black rubber midsoles, and Sail detailing on the laces, Swooshes, and rubber outsoles. The Air Jordan 1 High OG “Celadon” is reportedly a new colorway to arrive on the silhouette and it’s suggested to be part of Jordan Brand’s Holiday 2023 lineup.

Done in a Celadon, Sky J Light Olive, Bright Mandarin, Coconut Milk, and Pale Ivory color scheme, this Jordan 1 High features a White leather base with Olive suede overlays on the eyestay, toe, and heel. Elsewhere you will find Mandarin Orange accents on the Swooshes, collar, and tongue labels, while a Coconut Milk hue is spotted on the mesh tongues and midsole. White laces, Off-White Wings logos, and an Olive Green rubber outsole is also part of the sneaker’s design.

Dropping in September, here is a first look at the Corporate x Jordan Air Ship Light Menta.

This special collaborative iteration of the Jordan Air Ship has Cincinnati-based sneaker shop Corporate teaming up with Jordan Brand to create the unique look for the Air Ship you see above. Corporate prides itself on playing an active role in the community. They are known for promoting local brands and artists to help them expand their reach. They also run a non-profit called Bigger Than Sneakers that helps teens in finding their path.

Revealed by (Corportate) owner Matt Tomamichel at a special event over the weekend, the Corporate x Jordan Air Ship comes dressed in a  Light Menta, Metallic Silver, Kinetic Green, and Sail color scheme. It is given a Light Menta suede upper paired up with matching leather overlays on the vamp, Swooshes, and ankle collars. Contrast comes by way of the White accents on the laces, outline Swoosh, tongue labels, and midsole. Defining features include the ?Corporate? branding on the lateral heel, the shop?s ?Got ?Em? slogan on the heel, and ?For The City? on the inner lining. A Grey rubber outsole and special packaging round out the main features of the sneaker.

Retailing for $150, look for the Corporate x Jordan Air Ship Light Menta to release on September 8th, at  Corporategotem.com. A wider launch at Nike NBHD retailers will take place on September 15th. Spring 2024 Jordan Brand releases are beginning to leak as one of those pairs that is expected to release is the Air Jordan 6 “Yellow Ochre”.

This Air Jordan 6 will come dressed in a White, Yellow Ochre, and Black color scheme. The sneaker takes on the “Carmine” color blocking with Yellow Ochre nubuck paneling on the base of the upper and White leather overlays. Other details include the Black accents added along with all the key Jordan branding throughout the shoe, as well as on the tongue, lining and heel pull tab. White laces, a Yellow lace lock and icy Blue translucent round out the main features of the sneaker.

After releasing the Air Jordan 1 High 85 Neutral Grey back in 2021, Jordan Brand will be giving us the low top edition later this year as we’re expected to see the arrival of the Air Jordan 1 Low 85 Neutral Grey. While there are not early looks at the sneaker yet, this Air Jordan 1 Low will comes dressed in a color combination of Summit White/Light Smoke Grey-Neutral Grey-Sail as the sneaker is expected to feature a white leather upper with grey suede detailing on the Swooshes and heels. Additional details will include OG Nike Air branding on the tongues, Sail rubber midsoles, grey outsoles, and special OG packaging and accessories.

A few months back we let you know that there was a rumor going around that Jordan Brand would bringing back the Air Jordan 17 Low in 2024. Today that rumored gets a bit more solidified as word on the streets suggests that one pair set to make a return is the Air Jordan 17 Low University Blue.

The Air Jordan 17 Low University Blue made its initial launch back in 2002, the year the Air Jordan 17 released. Done in a White, University Blue, Black, and Chrome color scheme, the Air Jordan 17 Low University Blue pays homage to Michael Jordan?s college playing days. Design details on the Air Jordan 17 Low include a low-cut design that comes constructed with a leather upper paired with a Dynamic Fit inner sleeve that provides a more supportive fit. The design is also highlighted by the signature chrome strip around the heel while also utilizing an integrated lace-up closure for a lockdown fit. A full-length shank plate, TPU heel stabilizer for support and lightweight phylon midsole with herringbone traction underfoot is also in play.

Inspired by the iconic Air Jordan 8 “Aqua”, this release in very similar to the 2010 sample. Dressed in a Black, Bright Concord, and Aquatone color scheme, this Air Jordan 6 features a Black nubuck upper with Concord and Aquatone contrasting accents throughout atop an icy translucent outsole. Black also takes care of the laces, rubber tongue and tonal branding on the heels.

The two Union x Air Jordan 1 High OG collabs from 2018 got their inspiration from thrifting and the DIY culture. It created a bit of a vintage look that we were not accustomed to seeing, but over time fell in love with. The Union x Air Jordan 1 High OG Woven gets its inspiration from the Nike Air Footscape Woven ? a lifestyle running shoe that is known for its asymmetrical lacing system that debuted in the late 2000s. Done in a Sail, Wolf Grey, Muslin, Pale Vanilla, Kinetic Green, and University Gold color scheme, the Union x Air Jordan 1 High OG Woven is done in an OG-styled ?Neutral Grey? color blocking constructed in a full leather build and decorated with woven detailing that wraps around the entire shoe. Design details include the White upper and Wolf Grey detailing on areas such as the Swooshes, collars, ?Nike Air? tongue tags, the larger Wings branding on the lateral ankle. This collab has Chris Gibbs, founder of Union Los Angeles, teaming up with his wife Elizabeth Gibbs of Bephies Beauty Supply (BBS) to release this collaborative iteration of the women?s Air Jordan 1 Elevate High. Not familiar with Bephies Beauty Supply (BBS)? It’s a women’s streetwear line founded by Beth Birkett in March of 2020. The brand aims to involve community in the tangible elements of Black culture by highlighting unique brands founded by WOC artists and entrepreneurs who are redefining beauty and fashion as vivid, powerful and individual. Additionally, you may remember that Bephies Beauty Supply also has prior experience with Air Jordan collaborations as they teamed up with Jordan Brand in 2022 to drop their very own interpretations of the Air Jordan 7 that celebrated the model?s 30th Anniversary.

The Union x Bephies Beauty Supply x Air Jordan 1 Elevate High comes dressed in a Sail, Kinetic Green, Muslin, Gum Yellow, Cone, and Pale Ivory color scheme. As you can see, the sneaker features a similar design as the Union x Air Jordan 1 High OG Woven as it also comes equipped with a woven design of their own that is found wrapped throughout the entire upper. The Union x Bephies Beauty Supply x Air Jordan 1 Elevate High alongside the Union x Bephies Beauty Supply x Air Jordan 1 High OG Woven will be releasing on the same day to form what is being known as the Air Jordan 1 ?Summer of ?96? Pack. This capsule collection pays homage to the summer Beth and Chris met. Inspired by their love, the power couple realize that summer was not only the foundation of their relationship, but also the precursor to the lifestyle movement we now call “streetwear”. This women’s colorway of the Air Jordan 5 comes dressed in a Photon Dust, Black, Diffused Blue, and Pale Ivory color scheme. The Air Jordan 5 is given a Photon Dust upper with contrasting Diffused Blue accents. Elsewhere you will find co-branding on the tongue labels and an aged semi-translucent outsole that matches the aesthetics of the side and tongue netting. Finishing features include the reflective tongues, Nike Air branding on the heels, aged lace locks, White laces and a Black midsole.
