Back in 2016, Jordan Brand surprised the sneaker world by dropping the Air Jordan 1 High OG Satin Bred exclusively at a pop-up shop in New York City. What makes it even crazier is that the sneaker was limited to only 501 individually numbered pairs. To put it simply, it’s a very rare and highly coveted colorway of the Jordan 1. That said, Jordan Brand will be officially releasing the Air Jordan 1 High OG Satin Bred during Holiday 2023 exclusively in women?s sizing.
The women’s Air Jordan 1 High OG Satin Bred will be given the beloved Bred color scheme that covers the sneaker in Black, Red and White. The sneaker dons a full satin upper that nods to the classic Air Jordan ?Flight Suit? warm-up outfit that Michael Jordan wore back in 1985.
The Air Jordan 1 High OG WMNS Satin Bred is expected to release on October 18th at select retailers and Nike SNKRS for the retail price of $180. The Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 650 Stuntman Is Inspired By Michael Jordan Wearing New Balance Kicks In A 1984 Photoshoot
The Joe Freshgoods and New Balance partnership continues as today we get a first look at the Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 650 Stuntman collaboration.
Recently officially introduced by Joe Freshgoods himself, the Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 650 Stuntman is inspired by Michael Jordan wearing a pair of New Balance sneakers during a 1984 photoshoot for LIFE Magazine (see picture below).
?A few years ago, while going through old magazines for reference material, I stumbled upon a photograph of someone ?Special? wearing a pair of NB?s in?a photoshoot,? wrote Freshgoods in an Instagram post unveiling the ?Stuntman? pair. ?And I simply thought to myself, ?What if the story was different???
The Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 650 opts for a subtle aesthetic consisting of a White-colored upper with Grey accents spotted throughout. Other details include the JFG branding replacing the usual ?650? branding on the forefoot, as well as on the tongue labels. Each shoe will be individually hand-numbered limited to only 500 pairs.
The Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 650 Stuntman is slated to drop on September 9th. Release details and MSRP info has yet to be announced. Stay tuned.
