A Closer Look At The NJR x Jordan Brand Hypervenom
By SoleInsider
Following its official reveal yesterday, a closer look at the NJR x Jordan BrandHypervenom football boot is featured, as the silhouette’s design is noted to take inspiration from the iconic Air Jordan 5 — Neymar Jr. favorite AJ silhouette.
Utilizing the fighter jet shark teeth found on the side on the basketball sneaker, a modernized iteration is essentially prominent on this soccer silhouette, which is draped in the iconic cement print. Nicely offset against a predominantly black upper, Neymar Jr.?s Brasil number, 10, is applied on the lateral side of the left boot, while the number 23 is on the right boot to pay homage to MJ.
Additional notable details include the iconic Jumpman logo implemented on the heel and translucent outsole, alongside the initials of Neymar Jr.?s son (?DL?) on the laces, as well as the icon of the flag of Brazil.
You can find this pair at select Nike retailers worldwide starting tomorrow, June 3.
I’ve never purchased a soccer cleat, but I do like this design. The colorway and AJ-inspired elements have been nicely placed. This should get enough attention.
The Nike Kyrie 2 Kyrache Pays Homage To An Iconic Nike Sneaker
With the Spring/Summer seasons here it should be no surprise to see that lots of brands will be releasing low-top renditions of some of their most classic sneakers.
Dressed in Navy Blue upper on the ballistic mesh upper and the patent leather mudguard, this new colorway of the Air Jordan 11 also features a white midsole for contrast and a gum outsole. The gum outsole is a welcomed sight since we’ve never seen an Air Jordan 11 with a gum outsole.
This Air Jordan 11 will release on June 4, 2016. Stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for more updates.
Andres Carrillo, News: A navy blue Air Jordan 11? I like how Jordan Brand is thinking outside the box a bit and giving us a completely new colorway. The gum outsole is also a really nice look. The only thing I?m not too happy about is that it?s a low-top. Maybe once I see better images it?ll grow on me.

The Air Jordan 11 Low Arrives This Weekend In Two Different Colorways
By SoleInsider
It’s officially June which means that Summer is only a few weeks away. As we transition to the hotter weather Jordan Brand will be giving us two different colorways of the Air Jordan 11 Low that we can rock all Summer long.
The first colorway is the Varsity Red version that originally made its debut back in 2001 and features a white mesh/nylon upper with Varsity Red detailing on the patent leather mudguard as well as on the branding on the tongue and heel. That pair is then finished off with a white midsole and clear translucent outsole.
Next is the Navy Gum pair which will be making its debut in 2016. Dressed in Midnight Navy all throughout the mesh/nylon and patent leather upper, this Air Jordan 11 Low is then contrasted by a white midsole and beautiful gum outsole.
Both pairs will be releasing on Saturday, June 4th for a retail price of $170 each. Make sure you bookmark our Air Jordan 11 Low Navy Gum and Air Jordan 11 Low Varsity Red launch pages to stay updated with the latest images, news and release information. Which pair do you plan on picking up?
I don’t really like the Varsity Red colorway but I’m still on the fence with the Navy Gum pair. The combination of blue and the gum outsole just looks so nice.

Top 10 Kicks To Watch For In June: New Jordans, Currys, Yeezys For The Summer
By SoleInsider
Summertime is here and that means plenty of sneaker releases that will burn a hole through your wallet. But just because there’s all of this new stuff dropping, it doesn’t mean you have to keep up with all of the rich sneakerheads (and broke ones that don’t understand the concept of credit cards) because you probably all sorts of heat in your drawer that you either haven’t worn or have been saving up since the winter to finally undeadstock. Besides, who needs a fresh pair of Jordan 11 Lows or Yeezys anyways?
As always, all sneaker releases and prices are subject to change.
Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Metallic Navy
Nike
Release Date: June 4 Price: $160
It’s the Air Jordan 1 in a classic, clean style, what’s not to love? Well, other than the look on your face when you realize you paid $160 for a pair of 1s in 2016, remastered or not. Also the look on your face after that first dirt smudge ends up on your toe. Ok, maybe it’s not all love as it turns out, but hey, retros, right?
Despite my loathing of most things soccer, it’s impossible for me to not appreciation this great collaboration between the swoosh and designer Olivier Rousteing. Yes, a lot of it has to do with Rousteing’s brilliant taste in color palette (ie. black and gold), but not only are the kicks great, but the accompanying gear is also top notch. The N98 jacket is a must have.
Nintendo x Vans Collection
Vans
Release Date: June 3 Price: Varies
Finally, retros that are actually cool. This collaboration of Nintendo and Vans drops in a variety of styles that are sure to be on the feet of plenty of video game journos (including me) during the E3 show in a few weeks. I only wish that there was a Famicom controller version though since that was the system I grew up, not that grey, black and red absurdity.
Air Jordan 11 Low Varsity Red
Release Date: June 4 Price: $170
The summer belongs to the Air Jordan 11 Low and for the past several years we have seen many colorways of the low-cut sneaker invade our sunny days. The next to join in this tradition are a pair of colorways starting with the Varisty Red colorway that will be returning after an extended absence.
This blast from the past is the proper way to do a tribute to an iconic sneaker. You can’t just place the OG colorway of the Nike Air Flight Huarache on any Nike silhouette and call it a day. The look and feel of the shoe have to match the spirit of the original and the Kyrache does exactly that in way that nobody could have seen coming.
Air Jordan 8 Championship Pack
SoleFly
Release Date: June 25 Price: $250 Each
Sure, the white pair might not be an OVO release, but that means many of us might actually have a shot at them. The $250 price point for these premium releases is going to be rough hit for a lot of us to accept, however, and you can be sure that a lot of conversation about pricing is going to come up once again. But don’t expect these to sit because if any of the previous Championship Packs have taught us anything it’s that anything with the words “Jordan Pack” attached to it is just gone in seconds.
How do you sell Michael Jordan and his vast legacy to a generation that doesn’t give a s**t about him or his retros (yes, these people actually do exist, sneakerheads): pair him up with their heroes. At the age of 24, Neymar is old enough to have memories of prime Michael Jordan, even if it’s just Space Jam. But to a kid who is now growing up admiring Neymar the same way the soccer star admired MJ, it’s a different world. To them, MJ is the guy with old shoes and a crying meme, so why not leverage Neymar’s admiration for the GOAT and remind the kids with a classic Air Jordan with the jersey numbers of MJ and Neymar and a soccer boot that brings to mind the classic design? It’s a no-brainer and the Jordan Admiration Society (aka Jordan Defense Force aka Jordan stans) only grows.
But real talk? I’d rather have a non-cleated version of Neymar’s Hypervenoms with the Air Jordan 5-inspired design.
And here’s the other low-cut Air Jordan 11 that will be dropping this coming weekend. It’s not an easy choice for a lot of people, but I’ll go with the pair that MJ actually wore once upon a time.
Jordan Resellers Made $1 Million Less In December 2015 Compared December 2014
By SoleInsider
What’s happening to the state of reselling Jordans? Are resellers losing interest because the release slate has become oversaturated with countless monthly releases dropping at stores in overwhelming numbers, or is the price increase of $190 USD per retro pair not making profit margins worth it to invest in reselling Air Jordans anymore? According to StockX, there are cracks in the armor. Profits that once justified Jordans as having unworldly retail success due to their ability to be flipped rather easily are diminishing thanks to increased interest in other brands like adidas Originals. But that’s not all that’s happening.
A lack of intriguing Holiday releases, usually one of the strongest times for Jordan Brand, decreasing profit margins due to an increase in retail price, and a lack of demand compared to increased supply of general releases are all affecting the resell worth of the Jumpman’s latest. And the proof is in the statistics: in December 2015, Jordan resellers made $1 million less than the year before. But things are changing throughout 2016. Things are looking up with profit margins rising, just over a select few releases. The amount of special edition premium Jordan releases like the Air Jordan 12 “Wings”, Don C x Air Jordan 2 “Beach”, Air Jordan 4 “Pony Hair”, and more have all made insane profits in the reselling market while general releases are worth next to nothing when flipped. Check out more of the state of Jordan reselling over at StockX.
The Air Jordan 11 Low in this vibrant colorway will be making a return this weekend, as it?ll be the silhouette’s first revival since its original debut back in 2002.
Essentially mimicking its OG counterpart, the model inherits the same build and palette with the patent leather mudguard dipped in the bright red hue, followed by pristine white mesh/nylon for the rest of its upper component.
All adhered atop a crisp white midsole unit and icy translucent outsole, you can purchase a pair at select JB and Nike stockists on Saturday, June 4th for $170.
I?m just biased towards this colorway. I really wanted it bad back then. This pair is the best low-top variation in my view, and it?s just a classic. I?m glad to see it being revived.

I really like this silhouette in varsity red only, but this pair is pretty solid. The color combo is great and it should still garner a lot of attention.
