Best Look Yet At The Air Jordan 11 Space Jam

This December’s Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” is shaping up to be the defacto release of Jordan Brand’s 2016 for a number of reasons. The remastering process has transformed this iconic Air Jordan 11 colorway back to the OG days of early 1995 samples, as the retro mimics the pair that Michael Jordan wore during his second-round matchup against the Orlando Magic. The patent leather is cut a bit differently here and showcases a white shade on the piping as all OG Jordan 11s did. Then there’s the ’45’ heel branding replacing the usual ’23’ stitching. The iconic Space Jam Jordans return on December 17th for $220 USD so you have some time to plan on how you’ll be grabbing your pair. Check out the most detailed look we have yet after the break and head over to our Jordan release dates page for a full look at all of the upcoming Jumpman plans.

The Air Jordan 13 Melo PE QS Is Releasing Next Year!

Fans of the Air Jordan 13 are going to be happy about this one. It is being rumored that the Air Jordan 13 Melo PE will release Spring of 2017 as a Quickstrike release. As some of you may remember, Chris Paul had an Air Jordan 13 PE drop last year, now it’s Melo’s turn.

The Jordan 13 comes in a semi-Nuggets color scheme as a Black upper is accented by the Gold/Yellow hits placed on the overlay. If this is in fact a Melo PE, don’t be surprised if you see a Melo signature logo placed on the tongue. As of now the shoe is not officially confirmed, nor does it have a release date, but early reports are saying that the shoe is expected to release sometime next Spring. Does this potential release get you hype?

Author’s Take

Black and Yellow/Gold sneakers are always a good look in my opinion. I’m not a big fan of Carmelo, but I’d be willing to pick these up because they’re that nice!

The 2016 Summer Olympics are only a couple of months away and Jordan Brand has a few special releases that lots of people are looking forward to this Summer. A couple of the pairs that we’ve already seen include the Air Jordan 5 Olympic and the recently unveiled Air Jordan 11 Low Metallic Gold.

Also believed to be celebrating the Olympic games is this Bronze colorway of the Air Jordan 5. This Air Jordan 5 features a Obsidian leather on the upper with additional blue hits landing on the inner liner, the inside of the tongue, side panel mesh netting and the eyelets. Contrasting hits of Metallic Red Bronze meant to resemble the Bronze medal are seen on the tongue, lace-lock and the shark teeth on the midsole. Rounding out the look is a white midsole and an icy blue translucent outsole.

Expected to release on September 24, 2016 for a retail price of $190, are you looking forward to picking up this Air Jordan 5?

Author’s Take

Just like the white and gold Olympic pair, I don?t like the patent leather tongue on this pair of 5s. I think these will be a pass for me.

The Air Jordan 13 White/True Red Is Returning Next Spring

The Air Jordan 13 coming in the White and True Red colorway is said to be making a comeback next year! If you don’t have a pair or are simply looking to re-up on a fresh new one, you will be able to do so at the beginning of next year.

As some of you may have read, there was a list of several Nike/Jordans that are said to be releasing next Spring. This Air Jordan 13 colorway is definitely one of the most highly coveted ones. The shoe comes in a White leather upper. The semi-tonal look of the shoe is contrasted by the True Red done in suede placed on the heel and mudguard of the shoe. The upper will be sitting on top of the True Red midsole and Black outsole. Slated to release Spring of 2017, are you looking to pick up a pair? Let us know in the comments below.

Author’s Take

It’s a solid colorway, but I think there’s other better options that I’d rather pick up in this model before I pick this one up. I’m pretty sure lots of people are hype about this potential release though.

Next Year Will Bring The Air Jordan 12 Low Playoff

We all know 2016 was the year of the Air Jordan 12. Although we still don’t know what 2017 has in store for the model, we do know that an Air Jordan 12 Low Playoff is rumored to be releasing.

Just like the high-top version, the Air Jordan 12 Low Playoff dons the same motif and color scheme. The only thing that differentiates it from the regular pair is the fact that the top is dropped. A Black leather upper is paired up with a White leather mudguard. The White hue extends down to the sole unit, while just a bit of Black is placed on the rear side of the shoe’s sole. A Black tongue, Black laces and metal eyelets round out the look of the shoe. Slated to release Spring of 2017, let us know if you plan on scooping up a pair.

Author’s Take

The Air Jordan 12 Low is not as good looking as the Air Jordan 12 (high). It’s not an ugly shoe by any means, but I’d rather get the real Playoff 12s and pass up on these.

Someone Accidentally Received The Air Jordan 11 Low Metallic Gold Too Early

Air Jordan 11 1 Air Jordan 11 3 Air Jordan 11 2

Last weekend we saw the release of the Air Jordan 11 Low Varsity Red and Air Jordan 11 Low Navy Gum.

When Edgar Martinez received his pairs in this week from Eastbay he was expecting GS pairs of the Navy Gums, but to his surprise he claims to have received the Metallic Gold pair that was previewed yesterday and don’t release for at least another couple of months. He posted these pictures on Facebook and it’s hard to tell whether the shoes are 100% real or not, but they do look to be authentic and come with a legit style code.

What do you think? Did Eastbay make a major mistake or are these fake? Stay tuned to Kicks On Fire to find out the release date for the Air Jordan 11 Low Metallic Gold.

Jordan Brand Will Release An Air Jordan 13 Black Cat Next Year

Reliable source, Baltsneakershow just announced that a brand new colorway of the Air Jordan 13 will be releasing next year. Dubbed, the Air Jordan 13 Black Cat, the entire shoe comes in all-Black.

Said to be using a Black Panther as inspiration, unique features on the shoe include paw prints on the outsole as well as on the panther’s eye on the hologram. Pretty dope way to utilize the theme on the shoe, huh? No official images have been revealed as of today, but we’re pretty sure the release is going to get plenty of attention as more information begins to be revealed. Said to be dropping during the Spring of 2017, let us know your initial thoughts on the Air Jordan 13 Black Cat.

The features that go along with the theme is cool, but in my opinion it’s just a little too plain for my taste.

Author’s Take

Maybe if Jordan Brand would have made these original mids they would be more popular, but the fact that it?s a low means they?ll sit on shelves. They’re an easy pass for me.

The Air Jordan 9 Low Pantone Releases In Two Days

The Pantone colorway was made popular by the Air Jordan 11 a few years back and made its retail debut a couple of years ago. Now the bright shade of blue will be making an appearance on another Air Jordan retro this weekend.

Scheduled to release on June 11, 2016, the Air Jordan 9 Low Pantone is sure to be one of the brightest retros of the year and surely the Summer. Covered in a University Blue leather all throughout the upper, more hits of blue can be seen on the midsole branding, tongue, and laces. Contrasting White is then seen on the sole unit and the “23” branding on the heel. Lastly we see hits of Black on the inner liner, tongue tag and the globe on the heel.

If you buy these kicks you?ll definitely get noticed, but this colorway is just too bright for me. Plus I?m not even a fan of the Air Jordan 9.

More detailed imagery of this revamped Air Jordan 12 is unveiled, as the classic basketball silhouette is defined by the usage of nylon across its upper.

Essentially comprising the majority of its composition and tongue, the fabric is noted to be waterproof as well to further increase its durability and versatility. Additionally, tonal, intricate stitching throughout solidifies its overall construction. Offering a more lightweight feel, matching leather overlays adorning the forefoot and lateral portion are retained to maintain its premium and iconic flair, which is a traditional element on its original build.

Additional details include red accents on the tongue and embossed branding on the rear, as it all rests atop a crisp, white rubber sole unit.

This modernized pair is suggested to arrive at select JB and Nike stockists on September 10 for $190.

Author’s Take

Like I shared before, it?ll be interesting to see how this model does. This variation looks solid and I don?t think this offering looks that bad. I always wondered if the brand would explore new materials and apply it on classics just to see how it would be received. For example, the utilization of flyknit or engineered mesh as well.

The next rendition of the Air Jordan 2 Low is scheduled to debut this weekend, as this forthcoming model is reminiscent to the pair that released back in 2004.

Pristine white covers the leather upper and midsole, while university blue adorns the heel tab, outsole and outlining of its upper. Additionally, midnight navy is prominent on the inner lining and heel section.

Priced at $160, you can start purchasing a pair at select Nike and JB stockists this Saturday, June 11th.

I?m not really a fan of the silhouette in this low-top form. The colorway is solid though, but it?s an easy pass for me.

Tonal black accents are prominent on the tongue, inner lining and Jumpman globe badge on the rear, while more hits of blue adorn the heel, alongside a number ?23? embroidery in white.

I don?t hate how it looks in low-cut form, but I?d really prefer the model in its original form. The colorway isn?t for me, but it?s pretty appealing. This should get some attention.

There’s a lot of 12s I likes this year. This is not one that I’d consider picking up. Maybe in another year, but not this year when there’s so many other colorways to choose from.
