This Pure Platinum Air Jordan 1 KO High Will Release Next Week

AIR JORDAN 1 1 AIR JORDAN 1 2 AIR JORDAN 1 3 AIR JORDAN 1 4 AIR JORDAN 1 5 AIR JORDAN 1 6

There’s a new colorway of the Air Jordan 1 KO High releasing and it’s coming at us real quick.

Set to drop next week, this new Air Jordan 1 features a tonal upper done in Pure platinum. As is usually the case with the KO version of the Air Jordan 1, this pair comes constructed of a canvas upper with a new quilted pattern that can be seen on the side panels, heel, ankle, and toebox. The Nike branding on the tongue and the Wings logo have been done in Metallic Silver while a White sole unit caps things off.

Look for the Air Jordan 1 KO High Pure Platinum at select Jordan Brand retailers beginning on July 30, 2016 for $140.

Author’s Take

The quilted upper on this Air Jordan 1 KO is something different, but I’m still not a fan of the canvas constructed design. I expect these to sit on shelves for quite some time.

Air Jordan 1 Low 1 Air Jordan 1 Low 2 Air Jordan 1 Low 3 Air Jordan 1 Low 4 Air Jordan 1 Low 5 Air Jordan 1 Low 6 Air Jordan 1 Low 7 Air Jordan 1 Low 8

The ideal time to wear low top sneakers is the Summer which is why it should be no surprise to see Jordan Brand release new colorways of the Air Jordan 1 Low. Even though most people tend to bash on the lows and show all the love the highs, there’s still lots of sneakerheads out there that love them a nice pair of Jordan 1 Lows.

One of the latest colorways that is beginning to hit retailers is this Black, Gym Red and Wolf Grey pair that we see above. The majority of the shoe is done in Black nubuck while Wolf Grey leather lands on the toebox, Swoosh branding, and the outsole. Gym Red appears on the Jumpman branding on the tongue while a White midsole adds a bit more contrast.

Cop your pair now from select Jumpman retailers for $100.

Author’s Take

Not a bad looking Air Jordan 1 Low. I think the Jumpman on the tongue should have also been done in grey to keep things two toned.

Author’s Take

Based off of these pictures I have to say that I’m disappointed. I expected more. The perforations on the toe are not a good look on this shoe. As of now I can say that I’ll be easily passing on this release.

The Air Jordan 5 OG Remastered Releases Tomorrow

The wait is finally over. Tomorrow, July 23rd, Jordan Brand is bringing back the iconic Air Jordan 5 Black Metallic with enough original details through the remastering process to be nearly identical to Tinker Hatfield’s creation from 1990. An updated Durabuck upper contrasts a smoother reflective 3M tongue while Fire Red accents work wonderfully with a pre-aged yellow visible air unit. Of course, the main attraction here is the original white ‘Nike Air’ stitching found on the heel which continues the Jumpman’s return to the Swoosh branding that’s been a major asset since late last year. With that remastering process comes an increase of price – retail before tax will be $220 USD. Is it worth it? Check out more detailed photos below and if you don’t want to wait in line for this Air Jordan 5 retro offering, know that you can find select sizes right now on eBay.

Accentuating the unique new construction is the clean Pure Platinum grey presented tonally across the upper with a contrasting white sole unit, giving the model quite a refined new feel. I’m biased towards the silhouette and I really like this revamped makeup. It has more lifestyle appeal, plus offering more warmth in the colder months. You can’t go wrong with the colorway.

Author’s Take

I?m not that really into the silhouette in a low-cut profile aside from the recent varsity red and navy/gum colorways, but, I like this style even more in this finish. I also like how leather is applied on the upper.

White accents have then been added on the branding on the tongue and side panels, as well as on the midsole. What makes this pair unique is the word “BANNED” that has been added on the translucent red outsole just like we saw on the Air Jordan 31.

Were you able to get your hands on the Jordan Reveal that released as a part of the Quai 54 collection? If you weren’t then here’s in alternate option that has a pretty similar look.

This colorway of the Jordan Reveal takes on the Triple Black color scheme as the entire breathable mesh upper has been done in black as well as the heel, tongue, midsole, outsole, and laces. The only hit of colors lands on the insoles as they’ve been colored in Infrared.

You can pick up your pair now directly from nike.com and other Nike/Jordan Brand retailers for $115.

Author’s Take

Another decent all-black sneaker that you can rock on the daily this Summer (or Fall or Winter). If the branding was done in red r silver it would have given the shoe a nice pop.

KoF Live: The Air Jordan 1 Banned (2016) And The Air Jordan 31 (Video)

Meanwhile, over at Jordan Brand…

Las Vegas has been the place to be if you’re basketball junkie looking for to satisfy your hoops diet during the summer months. With Summer League, Team USA Basketball and a whole lot more NBA-related stuff going down this week, it’s the perfect the time for the brands to show off their wares and that includes the all-new Air Jordan 31 (or Air Jordan XXX1 if you want to follow their numbering conventions).

Revealed last night during a special event at the same time the adidas Basketball LVL3 showcase was going down, the concepts behind the Air Jordan 31 and why it bears so much similarities to the iconic Air Jordan 1 was also touched upon. Touted as reboot of the Air Jordan franchise, you can see the literal transition of the shoe and what worked in the 80s with the leather upper and slowly move into the present day and the Flyweave performance woven upper.

But what was also surprising was attendees of the event were also treated to a pair of the Air Jordan 1 Banned that will be set to release later this year. Check out both kicks above that we broadcast poolside from Encore on Facebook Live.
