The Air Jordan 4 Motorsport Now Has A Release Date

We’ve known for quite some time that the Air Jordan 4 Motorsport would be making a triumphant return. When news broke, it came without a release date attached to it. All we knew was that it was set to return sometime during the Spring of 2017. A few months have passed since then, and it looks like we now have an (un)official release date.

As of today, the Air Jordan 4 Motorsport is slated to drop on March 26th for the retail price of $190. What makes this colorway so special? When it initially dropped, it was a limited Jordan 4 that was only made and given to member of Michael Jordan’s Motorsports team. So yeah, I guess you could say it’s pretty exclusive. It comes in a White leather upper with hits of Black and Blue providing the contrast. No word yet if this pair will also come with Mars Blackmon on the heel. Stay tuned as more info and images of the shoe begin to surface.

I like the silhouette a lot and I?m really into the finish. I?m still unsure if I really want it, but, so far, I?m a big fan.

The Air Jordan 8 Undefeated Debuts Next Year

Air Jordan 8 Air Jordan 8 1

Following a previous report of an Air Jordan 8 Undefeated possibly releasing next year, rumors now confirm that the model will actually make its debut in February 2017.

During 2005, the LA-based streetwear label produced a special rendition of the Air Jordan 4, and it appears from this rendering that the colorway on the AJ 8 will inherit the same palette. Olive essentially drapes the nubuck upper, while accents of orange are implemented on the rear mudguard, tongue and portion of the outsole.

With its retail price listed at $190, GS sizes are reported to be offered as well and retail for $140.

Stay tuned to KicksOnFire for further updates.

Author’s Take

I?m a fan of the silhouette, as well as the LA-based brand, and this offering looks pretty solid (pending this is how the real pair will look). Nonetheless, this will obviously get the attention it deserves.

Air Jordan 13 Black Cat Releasing In January 2017

The Air Jordan 13 was originally designed with the black panther in mind to showcase Michael Jordan’s methodical approach to attacking and dominating the game of basketball. The unique midsole and outsole unit was shaped to pay homage to the structure of a panther’s paw while that holographic branding mimicked the black cat’s always watching eyes. Now Jordan Brand will kick off the Spring 2017 release slate with the premium Air Jordan 13 “Black Cat” colorway, slated to release at retailers on January 21st.

The Air Jordan 13 Black Cat utilizes an all-black-everything colorway to truly pay homage to the panther’s dark coat of fur but things get a little more interesting thanks to the use of full 3M reflective detailing on the upper and matching speckles on the laces. A brand new black cat logo is rumored to be hidden on the shoe’s insoles as well, but we’ll keep you updated on that detail once we have more photos to showcase.

Check out more of the latest Air Jordan 13 Black Cat after the break and stay tuned for more Jordan release date updates right here on Sneaker News.

air jordan 1 air jordan 1 2

In honor of “Banned” Day, Jordan Brand has not only restocked and released new colorways of the Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 31, but they have also given the classic a makeover.

The Air Jordan 1 Banned Satin was released today in limited quantities to celebrate the anniversary of the original Air Jordan 1 Banned. The shoe features the same color setup as the original Air Jordan 1 made out of leather, but instead of using leather it goes with a much fancier satin material on the upper.

It’s being said that this Air Jordan 1 Banned Satin is limited to only 501 pairs worldwide and they became available today at the 108 Wooster St. pop-up in New York City.

What are your thoughts? Keep it locked to Kicks On Fire for a possible wider release.

Author’s Take

Love the colorway, but I’m not too sure about the satin upper. I’d have to see these in person to decide whether I like them or not.

Michigan Also Has A Home PE Colorway Of The Air Jordan 31

Air Jordan 31 1 Air Jordan 31 2

In the last couple of weeks we’ve seen the Cal Golden Bears, UNC Tar Heels, and Michigan Wolverines all receive their own PE colorways of the Air Jordan 31.

Since Michigan is the newest Jordan Brand-sponsored school, it’s only right that they receive more than one pair. Pictured here is the “Home” PE colorway of the Air Jordan 31. This 31 features a White and Maize Flyweave and leather upper with navy accents placed on the Jumpman logo, midsole, and inner liner. Just like the blue Away pair, this Home colorway also comes with Michigan written on the translucent outsoles.

What are your thoughts? Do you like the Away or Home colorway better?

via: umichwbball

Author’s Take

Even though this colorway will be harder to keep clean because of the White upper, I like it better than the blue Away pair. The Jumpman and Nike logos just pop much better on this pair.

This past weekend we saw the Air Jordan 3 Cyber Monday release and sit on shelves (and still sitting) in what many call a moment of confusion. I thought it was a pretty plain colorway so I’m not surprised to see them sit, no matter if it is an Air Jordan 3.

Up next this weekend we’ll see Jordan Brand release two more retros, but these will most likely not sit on shelves. Up first we have the Air Jordan 6 Pinnacle in Metallic Gold. This luxurious colorway of the Air Jordan 6 celebrates the 25th anniversary of Michael Jordan winning his first NBA championship back in 1991 and features a full Metallic Gold upper that takes inspiration from the Larry O?Brien trophy. White accents then provide some contrast on the tongue, inner liner, heel tab, midsole, and outsole. The shoes even come with a fancy Jumpman hangtag.

You’ll be able to purchase your pair on October 22nd for a retail price of $250.

Author?s Take

I wouldn?t consider myself a huge fan of the Air Jordan 6, but I do like it. However this colorway is just too flashy in my opinion. It?s not something that you would wear often.
