The Air Jordan 3 True Blue Is Releasing Earlier Than Expected

In case you didn’t already score a pair via early drops this week from Nike SNKRS or Finish Line, here’s your reminder that the Air Jordan 3 “True Blue” officially makes its triumphant return tomorrow. And as a matter of fact, a number of retailers seem to be dropping the anticipated shoe today. Boutiques around the US including Marcus Jordan’s Trophy Room and Kentucky sneaker shop Oneness already have them up for grabs, so check with your local shop for availability right now.

With fully “remastered” attention to detail and quality, the OG colorway of the third Air Jordan returns in its most accurate form since it was on the shelves in 1988 with newly revamped features like “Nike Air” branding and red inner lining on the tongue?two features that have been missing from all previous retros of the shoe. You already know what they look like by now, but take one last look here and grab your pair from Jordan Brand retailers like Sneaker Politics and Nike.com amidst the Black Friday madness tomorrow, or maybe you can get lucky and secure your pair today.

Get Ready For The 2016 Air Jordan 3 True Blue

Air Jordan 3 Air Jordan 3 1 Air Jordan 3 2

Last seen in 2011, a remastered variation of the OG ’88 Air Jordan 3 True Blue will be making its official debut in the next few days.

As suggested, this 2016 model mimics its original design ethos. White tumbled leather comprises its upper, while the signature cement grey paneling is prominent on the eye stays, heel and toe cap.

Pronouncing the profile are True Blue accents adorning the midsole unit and inner lining, followed by pops of red gracing the outsole, tongue and eyelets to round out its classic color scheme. Furthermore, OG ?Nike Air? branding is seen on the insoles and back heel tab to round out its distinguishable details.

Offered in full family sizing, adult (mens) sizes are listed at $220 ? while GS, PS and Toddler sizes retail for $160, $80 and $60 respectively.

Purchase a pair at select Nike and JB stockists starting this Black Friday, November 25th.

The Air Jordan 1 High Top 3 follows up on the Black Toe version that debuted earlier this month, and this particular pair will cap off November.

Featured in its BG/GS sizing, the basketball sneaker?s aesthetic remains similar to its adult counterpart, as it’s defined by the mixture of three iconic original AJ 1 colorways ? ?Chicago,? ?Banned? and ?Royal?. The respective hue is prominent on a particular portion of the premium leather composition for a one-of-a-kind profile.

Furthermore, the three colors utilized is in reference to Michael Jordan?s draft placement in the 1984 NBA Draft.

With adult sizes priced at $160, this variation is listed at $120. You can purchase one at select Nike and JB stockists starting Cyber Monday, November 28th.

This ?What The?-inspired theme on the sneaker came out solid and I like how three colorways were only utilized. I?m a fan.

Following a reinterpretation of the classic AJ 23, SoleFly presents a more luxurious rendition of the Air Jordan 16 next.

Inspired by Miami?s Art Basel celebration (December 1 ? 4), the sneaker’s traditional composition has been revamped with crisp white ostrich leather on the removable shroud. Complementing the pristine makeup are pops of pink and teal as a nod to the South Beach vibe. Finally, a translucent outsole finishes off the overall profile.

Extremely limited to only 1,500 pairs, you can find this unique model exclusively at SoleFly starting Saturday, December 3rd for a price tag of $275.

Author’s Take

I like the pristine look and the premium ostrich leather overlay is a nice addition. I like how the teal and pink accents were kept to a minimum.

The Jordan Bastille Store Has An Impressive Air Jordan Display

jordan-display-bastille-1 jordan-display-bastille-2

Jordan Bastille is the name of the Jordan retail store set to open in Paris in just a few days. While consumers patiently wait for the doors to open, we recently came across this Air Jordan display said to be found inside the store.

Said to be the first-ever standalone Jordan retail store in Paris, you know they’re going all in as a part of the celebration of the store opening. Jordan Brand recently hosted a special launch event in which special guest Ray Allen was in attendance. Also in attendance was the Air Jordan display you see above. The display features Jordan retros 1 through 30. The majority of them come in a White hue, but the championship-winning silhouettes are dipped in Gold to symolize the years Michael Jordan won his NBA championships (6).

The Jordan Bastille store officially opens on November 24th, if you’re not n the area, at least you have this picture to look at.

Florida-based Solefly is the latest sneaker shop set to get their own Air Jordan collaboration. Set to release early next month, here’s out best look yet at the SoleFly x Air Jordan 16.

Although the release date of the SoleFly x Air Jordan 16 is right in the middle of the Fall/Winter season, there are no signs of chilly vibes on this drop. As a matter of fact, you’d think this would be a release better suitable for the Summer season. South Beach-esque vibes appear on the color scheme as a White leather upper is contrasted nicely by the Neon Pink and Turquoise accents placed all across the upper and shroud.  Speaking of the shroud, take a close look and you will see that it’s made out of a sleek ostrich textured leather and die-cut paneling beneath the signature removable gaiter. If you feel like giving the shoe a bit more boldness and pop, it should be noted that the shroud is reversible and can be worn inside-out to show the Hot Pink. It is being reorted that the SoleFly x Air Jordan 16 will be releasing during Art Basel in Miami exclusively at SoleFly with a limited run of only 1,500 pairs for $275.

The price of the shoe throws me off. I don’t understand why it’s priced so high. It’s cool, but I won’t pay that much for it.

The SoleFly x Air Jordan 16 Will Release During Art Basel

Following up the Air Jordan 16 ?French Blue? by Trophy Room, another Florida-based sneaker shop gets their hands on the Air Jordan XVI this winter. Bringing some tropical vibes to the cold months ahead, SoleFly creates their own take on the ?South Beach? sneaker theme with a crisp white leather upper with neon pink and turquoise accents across the upper and shroud. Built in all-white full-grain leather, the shoe also features ostrich textured leather for the shroud and die-cut paneling beneath the signature removable gaiter, but what gives their version an added flair is that the shroud is actually reversible and can be worn on the hot pink side.

Releasing during Art Basel in Miami, the SoleFly x Air Jordan 16 drops December 3rd exclusively at SoleFly with a limited run of only 1,500 pairs for $275.

Author’s Take

This is a simple and clean colorway of the Air Jordan 1 but it’s not a pair that I would be willing to pay retail for. If these fall in price then I may grab them down the line.

Check Out This Incredible Air Jordan Display At The Jordan Bastille Store

Jordan Brand is preparing to open its doors at Jordan Bastille, the first-ever standalone Jordan retail store in Paris. As part of the celebration, the brand hosted a special launch event with special guest Ray Allen, who gave a Q&A while wearing the upcoming Space Jam 11 release. A big draw of this new spot, in addition to the top-shelf product and release, is this awesome Air Jordan display that features the championship-winning silhouettes dipped in gold. Curious as to why the Air Jordan XIV was left out of this gilded distinction, but the display is incredible nonetheless.

The Jordan Bastille store officially opens on November 24th; check out a video of the display just ahead.

A New Air Jordan 31 Covered In Snakeskin

AIR JORDAN 31 1 AIR JORDAN 31 2

What do we have here? A brand new luxurious colorway of the Air Jordan 31.

Jordan Brand employee Frank Cooker decided to stunt on the gram a bit and posted this never-before-seen Air Jordan 31 which features a grey suede upper with snakeskin detailing on the Swoosh, ankle, and tongue. The Jumpman that is usually seen on the ankle has been removed and replaced with the Jordan Wings logo instead. Down below we have a white midsole and outsole to finish things off. No word on whether or not these will be releasing to the public, but stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for updates.

Author’s Take

I like it. The snakeskin detailing looks real clean. Hopefully these actually release to the public.

The Air Jordan 16 Midnight Navy is slated to release on December 22, 2016. That means we’re exactly one month away from this highly anticipated drop. To hold you off until then, here are Nike’s official images of the upcoming Jordan 16.

The Air Jordan 16 Midnight Navy is an OG colorway that made its debut back in 2001 and has not retroed since 2008. If you’re in need of a fresh new pair, you won’t have to wait that much longer to pick one up. Coming in a White and Midnight Navy color scheme, the Air Jordan 16 is done in a full-grain White leather and shroud accompanied by the glossy Navy leather finishes on the toe and tongue. Additional Navy can be found on the heel and lining to give the shoe a bit more of a balanced look. Priced at $250, is this a holiday release you’re looking forward to? Let us know in the comments below. Be sure to visit out Air Jordan 16 Midnight Navy hub page for additional images and info regarding this drop.

Author’s Take

I think the $250 price tag is going to push some people away from purchasing a pair. Just like the 17s that dropped this year, there’s a good chance these end up in the clearance aisle pretty quickly.

Take A Look At The Original Air Jordan 3 True Blue From 1988

Air Jordan 3 1 Air Jordan 3 2 Air Jordan 3 3

Black Friday will be bringing us the return of the Air Jordan 3 True Blue in a look that mimics the OG pair from 1988.

Today we give you a look at an actual pair that Michael Jordan wore and signed pair from 1988 along with the 2016 version for comparison. For the most part the two pairs are identical, including the Nike Air branding, the red inner tongue, and the Nike branding on the insoles and outsole. A couple of the very minor differences are the that the 2016 pair has a slightly lower cut at the ankle as well as a darker elephant print.

Will you be picking up your pair come Black Friday? Let us know in the comments below.

Michael Jordans First Retirement Shoe Returns On December 3rd

It’s understandable that these are being overshadowed by the Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” this holiday season, but every hardcore Jordan sneaker collector knows that this OG Air Jordan 9 is an essential pick-up, as well. Sure, the iconic white, black, and red colorway of the Air Jordan model that MJ never actually wore in an NBA game has dropped numerous times before, but the smart move by the brand to drop the “other” Space Jam shoe as part of the 20th anniversary celebration for the beloved film actually seems to make it more appealing than ever?especially when you factor in the “remastered” attention to detail and quality.

Still on the fence about whether or not you need to pick up this Air Jordan 9 with the insane amount of other big sneaker drops this holiday season? Perhaps this latest set of detailed photos can help you decide. Study up, and don’t forget that they’ll be in stock at Jordan retailers around the globe on December 3rd.

Surprise! Finish Line Dropped Sizes Of The Air Jordan 3 True Blue This Morning

The Air Jordan 3 True Blue is not supposed to officially release until November 25th, but it looks like there are several ways to get a pair a few days before that. Yesterday, Nike gave some of us access to pick up and secure a pair a bit early. Now we got word that Finish Line pulled a quick one on us and dropped the the Air Jordan 3 True Blue on their site this a.m.  Early reports suggest that people were able to add to their cart and complete payment, which lead us to think that this was planned ad not an error. Time will tell if the shoes end up shipping before the release date. Did you manage to pick up a pair this morning? If not, don’t worry, you will have another chance when the shoe officially dropn on November 25th for $220.

The Air Jordan 3 True Blue is on most people’s short list of the greatest Air Jordans ever made. Despite having been brought back a few times through the years by Jordan Brand, the anticipation for each comeback is welcomed by sneakerheads, Jordan fans and hypebeasts alike. The sneaker landscape is much different in 2016 than it was the last time the True Blue made a return to stores; competition from other brands and changing tastes have all but rendered only the most limited or hyped Js relevant. Despite the shift (and the True Blues $220 price tag), we don’t think Nike will have any problems selling these this Black Friday and through the weekend.
