Official Images Of The Air Jordan 6 GS Still Blue

Last year we saw the release of the Air Jordan 9 Low Pantone as one of the many low tops that Jordan Brand dropped during the Summer season. This light shade of blue will be used once again on another retro, this time the Jordan 6.

Constructed out of a smooth and tumbled leather upper, this grade school colorway of the Air Jordan 6 is done in Still Blue all throughout the upper, including the inner liner, tongue, laces, and heel tab. Contrasting White can then be seen on the Jumpman branding on the lace lock and heel, the heel tab, and the entire sole unit.

Look for the Air Jordan 6 GS Still Blue to arrive at retailers in extended sizes on March 25, 2017 for $140.

UNC Gets Air Jordan 13 Low PE In Time For March Madness

The UNC Tar Heels men’s basketball squad is still battling to maintain their place in the Top 10 of the college basketball rankings, and Jordan Brand is here to give the team the boost it needs with another fresh PE in this argyle-lined Jordan 13 Low perfect for the coming March Madness season.

The Air Jordan 13 Low UNC PE features a clean Carolina Blue mesh upper with accents of Wolf Grey on the mudguard and midsole to contrast the premium white leather toe. Perhaps the most interesting feature is what won’t readily appear on television when the Heels wear these this March – the classic argyle lining to match the signature stripes on UNC’s jerseys truly pops and is something we’d love to see actually hit retailers to give UNC fans the world over something special to add to their collection. But alas, this is just the perks of being one of the top college basketball players in the country lucky enough to play for Roy Williams.

Check out more detailed shots below and while these won’t release, you can stay updated on the latest coming attractions via our Air Jordan Release Dates page.

Release Reminder: Air Jordan 8 Alternate

While this Air Jordan 8 Alternate is reflective of the original Bugs Bunny theme that released in 1993, this model is also suggested to be a pair that MJ would’ve worn during his tenure with the Chicago Bulls.

Rendered in the Bulls’ signature tones, white leather comprises its leather upper, while contrasting red and black accents are prominent throughout. A graphic inner liner, in addition to detailing across its heel, chenille Jumpman logo on its tongue and ?1993? on the pull tabs, rounds out the overall detailing.

Priced at $190, you can purchase this pair at select Nike and JB stockists starting Saturday, February 25th.

The Air Jordan 15 Obsidian Releases On March 4th

There was a bit of controversy regarding the retro release of the Air Jordan XV back in January. The original version of the shoes featured Zoom Air units embedded into the forefoot and heel of the sole, and even Nike’s official description of the Retro stated that the Air Jordan XV Retro would feature the same cushioning system. It was uncovered that the Retro version only featured heel Zoom, much to the dismay of a select group of sneakerheads. It’s safe to say that next weekend’s first-ever release of the Air Jordan XV Retro “Obsidian” will feature only heel Zoom Air, but we surmise that most consumers will be using these for casual wear.

Take a look at the official images of the Air Jordan 15 Obsidian below and stay tuned for the release on March 4th on Nike.com and Jordan retailers worldwide.

The Weekend Will Bring Two New Tonal Colorways Of The Jordan Melo M13

The Jordan Melo M13 will debut two new colorways this weekend. Known as the Sunset Glow and Ice Blue, let’s take a closer look at both tonal offerings.

Rocking what many would say a Knicks theme (sort of), one comes in a Blue hue, while the other rocks a Orange hue. Although the shades aren’t as dark as the team’s colors, it appears imminent that team colors was an inspiration behind these two pairs. The tonal look of the upper extends down to the laces, branding and the entire sole unit.

Tech features on the shoe include the Zoom Air (responsive cushioning) on the sole, the blade traction pattern on the outsole and the rubberized overlays for a unique look. Priced at $135 look for these beginning February 25th.

UNC Gets Their Own Air Jordan 31 Low

The Air Jordan 31 Low has yet to receive a retail release, but the chopped down silhouette continues to surface in different PE colorways that we’ll probably never be able to get our hands on.

One of the latest pairs to surface is the one you see here which was made for the University of North Carolina. This Tar Heels colorway of the Jordan 31 features a combination of Carolina Blue and White on the Flyweave and leather upper. Additional white detailing is seen on the laces, inner liner, branding, midsole, and the “TAR” and “HEELS” written on the heels. Down below we see an icy blue translucent outsole to wrap things up.

What are your thoughts on the UNC Air Jordan 31 PE? Would you cop if they ever made it to retailers?

The Air Jordan 8 Alternate Is Arriving Soon

As a homage to the original Bugs Bunny theme that released in 1993, this Air Jordan 8 Alternate is essentially reflective of that classic theme.

Rendered in the familiar Chicago Bulls colorway, white leather dominates its upper, while contrasting red and black accents are prominent throughout. A graphic inner liner, in addition to detailing across its heel, and ?1993? on the pull tabs rounds out its overall detailing.

Retailing for a price tag of $190, you can purchase this standout pair at select Nike and JB stockists starting Saturday, February 25th.

NBA 2K17 Kicks: Using The Game To Convince Me To Buy The Air Jordan 12 Low Playoffs

In my humble opinion, the Air Jordan 12 Playoffs is the greatest basketball shoe ever made. Full stop. No argument. There is no better mix of design and colorway in one package and it’s one of the rare kicks that has ever compelled me to take the “one to stock, one to rock” approach when they got a retro release a few years back. With classic Air Jordans returning to retail with a little more frequency than ever before, I’ve been eagerly anticipating another run of Playoff 12s, especially in this era when Jordan Brand seems more interested in stocking stores with more pairs than ever before. The phrase “two to stock, two to rock” might be more apt.

So when the word started coming out that the Air Jordan 12 Playoffs was coming back, I was very excited… only to find out that we were getting the low version instead. Uh…

Air Jordans during MJ’s prime that go low have always struck an odd chord with me and judging by the reactions of the sneaker community, I’m not a lone wolf in this case. Take for example how iconic Air Jordan 1 colorways from the Banned to the Royal to the Chicago, sell out in mere seconds when they are in their original form with “Nike Air” but will sit on store shelves forever when they drop in low-cut form. There are notable exceptions to this rule of course; summertime Air Jordan 11 Lows might not be as popular as their holiday counterparts, but they are strong sellers for the brand (look at this year’s Columbia drop and tell me that won’t blow up, I dare you) and you can bet that this year’s slate of the Air Jordan 13 Lows like the upcoming Chutney release are going to be ones to watch. The 12s? Well, let’s just say the Max Orange that came out earlier this year didn’t inspire that much confidence in me.

What sold me on the Air Jordan 12 Low Playoffs was my trip to NBA All-Star Weekend and NBA 2K17. Seeing them on the feet of Jordan Brand employees and digital Blake Griffin got me hyped for them in a way that I did not see coming. It’s not full-on “MJ wearing them as he shot over Byron Russell and gave the all-time best fist pump celebration in history” hype, and I won’t be able to give my full confidence in the kicks until I try them on this weekend, but the promise is certainly there.
