Much like the Air Jordan 12 “Wings”, the Air Jordan 1 “Wings” will start off as an all-black offering only to unveil a hidden layer beneath that’s revealed over time with heavy wear. The Air Jordan 1 Wings is meant to represent Michael Jordan’s inner-confidence through what Nike News is calling an antiqued gold undertone layer while the black base is a visual metaphor of doubt being chipped away. Just 19,400 individually numbered pairs will be released via the Nike SNKRS The Draw process this Wednesday, May 17th and will feature premium touches of a unique tongue and heel with Michael Jordan’s outstretched ‘Wings’ silhouette displayed prominently. Check out more detailed shots below and be sure to head over to our Jordan Release Dates page for an updated look at all of the coming Jumpman offerings.
