Drake Shares First Look At Snakeskin Air Jordan 11s And An Alternate Version Of Air Jordan 5 Tokyo

“I bet you ain’t got these”. I’m pretty sure that’s what Drake was saying in his head while recording this video that shoes never-before-seen colorways of both the Air Jordan 11 and Air Jordan 5. In the images above and video below you will find two Air Jordan 11 colorways that utilize snakeskin texture on the toe and mudguard and an Air Jordan 5 that appears to be a alternate version to the iconic Tokyo 5s.

The Jordan 11s come with Pink and Grey snakeskin material, 45 branding on the heel and White mesh and leather uppers. The Air Jordan 5 Tokyo Alternate (let’s just go with that nickname for now) differentiates itself from the original pair by swapping out the White midsole in favor of a Black one. Will these release? Are these sample? On-of-ones? We’re just going to have to wait and see. Stay tuned.

An Air Jordan 18 Gym Red Will Debut Next Year

News recently broke that the Air Jordan 18 Sport Royal would be getting the retro treatment next year. Now we come to find out that the Sport Royal 18s will not be the only colorway of the model to release next year. Also making its debut next year: The Air Jordan 18 Gym Red.

As of right now, there are no images of the brand new Air Jordan 18 Gym Red. What we do know is that the shoe will come with a Gym Red upper that’s constructed of wither suede or leather. The Gym Red will then be contrasted by the Black accents found throughout. In regards to when it will be dropping and for how much. Early reports suggest that they will arrive during the month of April for the MSRP of $225. Stay tuned as more info begins to surface.

KoF Live: Jordan Brand Sent Us Not One, Not Two, But Three Jordan Brand Sneakers

words & images by Juanofakind

This latest edition of KoF Live is brought to you from our friends over at Jordan Brand. I had no idea what was in the box, but when I saw the UPS driver drop off the package I knew there was a good chance that it was going to be more than just one sneaker based off of the size and girth of the box.

Keep in mind, I was low key excited because this was going to be my first ever gift from Jordan Brand (insert praying hands emoji here), so I wasted no time, stopped what I was doing and got to opening the giant box. Out came not one, not two, but three Jordan Brand boxes. Dope! Now to see what’s inside them.

Above you will find the Jordan Fly 89, the Jordan Grind (Derek Jeter edition) and the Air Jordan 5 Premium Triple Black. Three different shoes for three different occasions.

The Jordan Fly 89 is the casual/chill/everyday kind of sneaker from the pack. It’s one of Jordan Brand’s newest lifestyle model inspired by the Air Jordan 4. The heel tab and lacing wings/system are a clear indicative of that. Made out of a neoprene upper, this is the type of casual shoe that you can just slip on and go. It comes in Black so you won’t have any problem matching it up with anything. I slipped it on real quick and being that it comes with a Lunarlon midsole, the comfort was good, something I’ve come to appreciate now that I’m getting older.

Up next is the Jordan Grind, Derek Jeter editions. This model is a trainer, so we can categorize this pair as the performance/training sneaker from the pack. The new Jordan Grind trainer features a pared-down textile upper and flexible midsole that doubles as an outsole for a sleek look. Cement print has been added on the mudguard and side panels along with elephant print on the midsole to give the shoe a bit of a retro vibe to them. Jumpman logos are placed on the tongue and side of the heel. This particular colorway recently dropped as  a part of the Jordan Brand Derek Jeter RE2PECT Collection, which is why the shoe comes in a Yankee colorway and “RE2PECT” branding on the heel pull tab.

Last but not least is the Air Jordan 5 Premium Triple Black, the latest colorway of the Air Jordan 5 Premium drops. We could label this pair as the “Night out on the town/dress to impress” sneaker from the pack. Yeah, it’s a basketball sneaker but the construction, craftsmanship and materials used on the shoe make it more suitable to wear off the court rather than for shooting jumpers or running suicides.  Rocking an all-Black look, the shoe comes dressed in a premium, super-soft leather upper. Parts of the shoe that are usually not premium leather, come in leather this time around (see netting on the side panels, lace locks, inner lining and midsole.) Added premium features include the ribbed paneling on the tongue and side panels, the carbon fiber-like eyelets, waxed laces and embossed branding.

Buy the Jordan Fly 89 here, the Jordan Grind here and the Air Jordan 5 Premium Triple Black here.

A big thank you to our friends over at Jordan Brand for keeping me fresh this Summer, regardless of the occasion. It’s very much appreciated.

The Air Jordan 3 Katrina Release Has Been Postponed To Summer 2018

It was reported earlier this year that the Air Jordan 3 Katrina would be making its retail debut in the Fall of 2017. Well we’re sorry to burst your bubble, but new rumors have surfaced that the sample Air Jordan 3 WILL NOT be releasing any time in 2017 and instead has been pushed back to the Summer of 2018.

This Air Jordan 3 features a white leather upper with Cement Grey, Black, and Fire Red accents. Think of it as a blend between the White Cement and Fire Red colorways. It is believed that this release will also come with Nike Air branding on the heels, but we’ll have to wait and see if that’s true. Make sure to click and bookmark our Air Jordan 3 Katrina launch page to keep up with the latest images, release information, and updates.

Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Shadow Rumored To Rerelease Next Year

(images of shoes are of 2013 release)

These past few years Jordan Brand has released remastered versions of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Chicago, Bred, Royal and Black Toes. We knew it was only a matter of time before the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Shadow got some love as well. The latest word on the street (and by street I mean sneaker internet) suggests that the classic Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Shadow will de getting the retro/remastered treatment next year possibly during the month of May.

Many of us believed that we were going to see the Shadow 1s drop this year, but Jordan Brand recently said that had no plan on bringing back the shoe this year. It’s been 5 years since the shoe last dropped, and we’re pretty sure many of us are in need of a fresh new pair (assuming you’ve been wearing the shoe) so a remastered  Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Shadow release is a welcomed sight. This a must-cop colorway of the Jordan 1 High, right? Who’s pumped? I know I am.

The Air Jordan 10 Steel Will Get The Retro Treatment Next Summer

(images of shoes are of 2013 release)

Although the Air Jordan 10 Steel last dropped in 2013, Jordan Brand felt like 5 years is more than enough time to release the shoe once more. The latest report suggest that the Air Jordan 10 Steel will be making a curtain call Summer 2018.

The Air Jordan 10 Steel was a colorway of the model that made its debut in 1994 when Michael Jordan wore them at the Pippen Classic. This is one of those instances where Jordan actually wore the shoe/colorway, just not in an actual NBA game. The Air Jordan 10 Steel consists of a White premium tumbled and smooth leather upper contrasted by the Light Steel Grey and Black detailing placed on areas such as the outsole, tongue, lining, collar and eyestay. Signature features on the shoe include the checkerboard inner liner, the Red Jumpman on the outsole and another Jumpman in Black noted on the heel. Summer 2018. $190. Who’s looking forward to this rerelease?
