Nike Removes The Swoosh From The Nike Cortez

For many Nike silhouettes, their most recognizable feature is the addition of a Swoosh logo somewhere on the shoe. Well Nike is taking one of their most iconic silhouettes of all-time and flipping the script. The classic Nike Cortez from 1972 is presented above in two colorways with one major change in comparison to most other Cortez releases we see. Nike has removed the Swoosh check from the lateral side panels on both of these colorways while only leaving the medial Swoosh. The two color options feature full leather uppers with one Black pair with contrasting white hitting the midsole and an OG-inspired white/red/blue pair. Both are then finished off with hairy suede tongues and debossed branding on the heels. Any Cortez fans who like the new look can scoop up both of these colorways now online and at select stores for $100.
