Set to be the latest addition to Nike’s ?Plant Dye? collection, here is an official look at the Nike Air Force 1 Low Rhubarb.

For those who may now know, Himalayan Rhubarb extract is a traditional natural dye from the Himalayan mountains between India and Bhutan. The plant grows in altitudes from 3-5000 meters and yields a Deep Golden Yellow color from its rhizomes with an alum mordant.

The Rhubarb-inspired Air Force 1 Low comes dressed in a White leather upper decorated by the dyed canvas noted on the Swooshes and heel tab overlays. The sneaker’s most notable feature is the plant that’s embroidered on the tongues accompanied by a descriptive text printed on the heels. Finishing details include Volt insoles atop a White midsole and flecked cinder outsole.

Retailing for $110, the Nike Air Force 1 Low Rhubarb is expected to debut in the coming weeks at select retailers and Nike.com.

Also part of the Nike ?Plant Dye? collection, this Nike Air Max 95 Cork is constructed in a canvas build made out of Cream and Tan hues. The cork detailing can be found on the tongue overlays that work themselves as part of the lacing system. Release Date: Kim Jones x Nike Air Max 95 Collection

Kim Jones is passionate about his newest Nike collaboration. ?This latest capsule celebrates one of my favorite Nike shoes, the Air Max 95, by looking at the way it could be addressed with modern technology,? the designer says.

Jones has been working with Nike since 2016, infusing a potent string of collaborative projects with unique perspective on craft, travel, punk fashion and more. For 2021, Jones? attention is squarely on Max Air ? as both visceral object and aesthetic cue.

With the special-edition design, the Air Max 95 bridges eras of tech and aesthetic with a toe cap mini-Swoosh and a perforated upper inspired by the Air Max 360. Original Air Max 95 colors, including Total Orange and Volt, pop against an inverted gradient to offer a new twist to a nostalgia-inducing scheme. The shoe?s eyestays highlight a contemporary, translucent, stretch-woven material, Nexkin, made popular in recent icons such as the Zoom Fly SP and React Element 87.

Look for both the Black/Total Orange and Black/Volt colorways of the Kim Jones x Nike Air Max 95 to release on March 19th for $220 each.
