Nike Unveils The Most Comprehensive WNBA Apparel System Ever

Heading into the 25th season of the WNBA, the game of women?s basketball continues to grow in influence. In support of this momentum, Nike is unveiling the most comprehensive WNBA apparel system ever which features an improved female-fit based on extensive athlete insights, three all-new editions of the game uniform and full apparel collection that expresses team unity on and off the court.

At the beginning of the 2019 WNBA season, the Nike team met with the Chicago Sky, Indiana Fever and Seattle Storm teams to understand what?s important to them and what we could improve. We heard from players that they needed a better-fitting uniform ? by height alone, bodies range from 5’6″ to 6’9″ and one size doesn’t fit all. As a solution, Nike fully re-engineered a new uniform chassis for more body types, updating proportions across the game jersey and short now featuring three neckline varieties, new waistband, and material innovation that debuts Dri-FIT ADV for maximum breathability.

Nike also heard from players that existing uniforms lacked a strong sense of team unity and connection to the city and fans they represented, and they wanted more choice and more storytelling. By presenting three new uniform editions for each of the league’s 12 teams ? the WNBA Nike Heroine Edition, WNBA Nike Explorer Edition and WNBA Nike Rebel Edition ? the creative distinction of each uniform offers players the ability to express their individual style, connect with their fans, and inspire the next generation of girls to join in the game. With the WNBA Nike Rebel Edition, each team will now have a third uniform that elevates female empowerment stories from their cities and communities. For the Chicago Sky, this is depicted through shattered blue lines representing the Chicagoans that break glass ceilings and formidable boundaries with a persevering attitude and gutsy determination.

Committed to building a better and more inclusive future for women sport, Nike knows that creating change extends beyond uniform design. Nike is partnering with the WNBA and others to drive collective action for women and girls, through partnered programs like Women in Nike (WIN), Game Growers and WNBA Changemakers.

The WNBA Nike Rebel Edition jerseys (in both Authentic and Victory) will release exclusively for Nike Members on Nike.com and the Nike app on April 8th

On April 14th, fans can shop the WNBA Nike Rebel Edition and WNBA Nike Explorer Edition Jerseys (in both Authentic and Victory) for all 12 teams on Nike.com and at select team stores, Fanatics and Dick?s Sporting Goods.

Ahead of the season, WNBA fans can gear-up in select items from the all-new Game Theatre apparel collection as well as the Team 13 Apparel collection ? the first-ever WNBA fan apparel collection from Nike. Select items will be available on Nike.com on April 14. The WNBA Pull-Over Hoodie ? the best-selling WNBA item ever ? will be available in orange and white as well as a new black and orange colorway.

The Nike ZoomX Invincible Run Flyknit Barely Volt Is Now Up For Grabs

Expected to release soon, check out the official images of the Nike ZoomX Invincible Run Flyknit Barely Volt.

The Nike ZoomX Invincible Run Flyknit is a new step altogether in the search for harmony among cushioning, stability and rocker geometry. The midsole is made with responsive ZoomX foam, which returns more energy underfoot than any other Nike foam. Created for long training runs, the Invincible silhouette includes more foam in the midsole than React foam in the Infinity, creating a soft ride while returning more energy for improved running economy. The rocker geometry and the wider nets in the forefoot help create a more stable ride and fluid stride transition (compared with the more springy transition of plated running footwear), making the Invincible ideal for higher mileage runs.

This pair of the Nike ZoomX Invincible Run Flyknit comes in a Volt, Barely Volt, and Black color scheme. Additional details includes 3M reflective hints on the toe and heel. Retailing for $180, you can now find the Nike ZoomX Invincible Run Flyknit Barely Volt at select retailers and Nike.com.
