Kobe Bryant’s contract with Nike expired on April 13th 2021 and his estate has decided to not renew his contract with the Swoosh. So what does this mean? It means that Bryant’s estate is free to negotiate a new deal with any other brand, or possibly even sign another new deal with Nike. According to sneaker industry insider Nick Depaula, ?Vanessa Bryant did not renew the contract. Kobe and Nike are done.?

Here is Nike’s official statement regarding the situation:

?Kobe Bryant was an important part of Nike?s deep connection to consumers. He pushed us and made everyone around him better. Though our contractual relationship has ended, he remains a deeply loved member of the Nike family.?

Following the Black colorway that we took a look at last week, a new flavor of the Nike Air Force 1 Crater Flyknit has surfaced today this time in Wolf Grey. Taking a look at this modified version of the Air Force 1, the model starts off with a full Flyknit construction on the upper in Wolf Grey with multicolor thread hitting the overlays. Additional details include White leather detailing on the Swooshes and heel tabs, suede eyestays, white laces, and Gym Red tongue tags. Volt insoles with black ?Move to Zero? logos on it, a white speckled Crater foam midsole, and a Nike Grind outsole round out the look on this Nike Air Force 1 Crater Flyknit that will be releasing on May 13th for $110. The Nike Cosmic Unity ?Apricot Agate? consists as the next colorway of the newly-introduced sneaker and it’s dropping this week. The performance-based model essentially places an emphasis on sustainability as it?s composed of at least 25% recycled material by weight. The sneaker boasts a speckled and tan hued Crater Foam midsole made in part from Nike Grind contrasted by a lightweight orange-colored upper designed with a layered cable pattern in the forefoot. Additionally, a full-length Air Zoom strobel is implemented which provides sufficient energy return.

Paul George’s latest Nike PG 5 comes dressed in his team’s colors. Now up for grabs, here is an official look at the Nike PG 5 Clippers.

Done in a White, Crimson Tint, Black, and Laser Crimson color scheme, this pair is constructed in a mesh upper with synthetic overlays. Design details include the Swoosh logos around the heel, the ?AIR? branding on the midsole, the mini Swoosh on the toes, PG logos on the tongues and above the toe and an insole housing a crest filled with Nike and PG graphics. The sole is equipped with a full-length Zoom Air strobel atop a Black rubber outsole.

First rumored back in the summer of 2020, official images have now surfaced of the one of the colorways of the upcoming Nike Dunk Low PRM “Animal Pack.” Serving as one of two colorways from the pack, this Nike Dunk Low takes on a Beach, Baroque Brown, Canvas, Sail color scheme as the shoe starts off with a Sail smooth leather construction on the toe, side panels, and the ankle. A dark shade of brown then hits the leather on the Swooshes and heel tabs, the inner liner, and the rubber outsole. The highlight of this Nike Dunk Low is the suede overlays all throughout the upper which has been hit with a giraffe print. An exact release date has not been announced yet but make sure you keep it locked to Kicks On Fire for updates.

With Summer being on the horizon, Nike will once again be releasing this beach ready Nike Aqua Rift. Dropping soon, here is a first look at the women’s Nike Aqua Rift Rattan.

The Nike Aqua Rift  blends design elements of the Nike Air Rift and Aqua Gear models, that?s perfectly suited for the warm months. The sandal-like shoe is draped in a beige upper offset by the bright orange hits noted on the insoles, the midfoot hook-and-loop closure and the Nike Swoosh branding. Finally, a thick white rubber sole tops off the design.

Said to be a part of a series of footwear called ?UNDERCOVER BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION? (UBA), this collaborative iteration of the Nike Dunk High comes dressed in a Red leather upper sharply contrasted by the Black leather overlays. Details on the design include a speckled White midsole, solid White rubber outsole, the ?UBA/Undercover Basketball Association? branding on the lateral ankle and the traditional Undercover text/logo on the medial side. A textured Red suede on the ankle collar, White laces, a Red heel pull tab and co-branded insoles round out the main visible features of the Dunk High.
