The Nike AlphaFly 3 Prototype Will Be Releasing Soon
As most of you know by now (if you keep up with marathon news), Kelvin Kiptum of Kenya annihilated the marathon world record in Chicago with a time of only 2 hours and 35 seconds. While accomplishing the grand feat, Kiptum was wearing none other than the highly anticipated Nike Alphafly 3. For those of you interested in trying on a pair for yourself, we’re pumped to let you know that they’re set to drop very soon.
Below you will find images of the Nike AlphaFly 3 in the Prototype colorway. This latest addition to the Alphyfly line is the lightest and most tested Alphafly ever. The engine of the Alphafly remains the same ? a triple threat of Air Zoom units, a carbon Flyplate and ZoomX foam ? but the recipe for the overall system has been tuned to optimize and improve the overall benefit to the athlete. Key updates include one continuous bottom for smoother heel-to-toe transition; a wider full-length carbon fiber Flyplate for a propulsive, stable ride; a new Fast Shot outsole for optimal traction and grip; and a new Atomknit 3.0 upper for improved containment, breathability and midfoot support.
Retailing for $285, the Nike AlphaFly 3 Prototype is set to release on January 3rd at select Nike Running retailers and on Nike.com. For a complete guide including official photos, release dates, pricing and where to buy, visit: Nike AlphaFly 3 Prototype.
