Author’s Take

I actually tried on a pair not too long ago. I tried on my normal size, they were light, but for some reason I felt they weren’t as comfortable as I thought they would be, which is a shame since it’s such a goodlooking shoe.

The Nike Air Shake NDestrukt Will Retro Next Year

Who had a pair of Dennis Rodman’s Nike Air Shake NDestruckt? Odds are, if you had/have a pair, you’re probably in need of a re-up. Don’t fret, we just got word that the classic ’90s sneaker will be making a return next year!

Making its initial debut in 1996, the Nike Air Shake NDestruckt fit Rodman’s persona perfectly. The abstract/unique look of the shoe matched the look and style of Dennis Rodman off and on the hardwood. While we’re still unsure what colorways will be making a return, we did get word that the shoe will probably be dropping during he first half of 2017. Excited? You should be!

Author’s Take

Never owned a pair, thought they were odd looking. 20 years later, I’ve learned to appreciate the “weird” look of the shoe. It was ahead of its time. Glad to see it make a return.

We’re barely halfway through the month of September and we’re already beginning to get early looks at some Christmas-themed releases.

One of the first that we take a look at this year is this Santa Claus colorway of the Nike SB Dunk High. This colorway features a rich red upper that serves as an homage to Santa’s red coat. The shoe is done in a fancy velvet upper with contrasting white detailing on the tongue and the midsole. Finishing off the look are special Christmas-inspired insoles and extra red and green laces.

Take a look at the official images above and look for this Nike SB Dunk High Santa Claus to arrive at retailers in the near future.

Author’s Take

I think more could have been done to make this look like a Santa Claus sneaker. Maybe add some white cotton to resemble his beard or something.

A New Nike Air Presto For The Ladies With Hits Of Hyper Violet

NIKE AIR PRESTO 1 NIKE AIR PRESTO 2 NIKE AIR PRESTO 3

So who was able to pick up a pair from the Acronym x Nike Air Presto Mid Collection today? Personally I wasn’t a fan of the new look that was given to the shoe, but if you were I hope you were able to grab a pair if you wanted one.

Here we have a pair that more people will probably like because who doesn’t like the OG Presto, right? This new colorway known as the Blue Tint features a light shade of blue on the mesh/neoprene upper with Hyper Violet detailing on the heel tab, tongue, outsole, and the Nike branding on the toe and midsole. Midnight Navy has been added on the midsole, outsole and inner liner to provide some contrast.

Ladies can pick up this Nike Air Presto at select Nike retailers this Fall.

Author’s Take

Looks like too much of a women’s colorway for me to wear a pair. I do like the pops of purple though.

Dennis Rodmans Nike Air Shake NDESTRUKT Will Retro in 2017

One of the last of the greatest 1990’s basketball shoes from Nike to never receive a proper retro is finally coming back. According to a report from Sole Collector, the Nike Air Shake NDESTRUKT will receive its first ever retro in true form in 2017, which is cause for celebration for fans of Dennis Rodman’s unforgettable unofficial signature model. The bold asymmetrically-laced design which is easily the most famous model of Nike’s NDESTRUKT series of rugged and durable outdoors basketball shoes has long been requested by collectors, and the modernized version of the model known as the Air Max Shake Evolve didn’t satisfy most of us, so a return of the OG construction will definitely be welcomed with open arms.

After Nike SNKRS presented a retrospective of the brand’s outdoor hoops history recently, we were wondering if some new retros would be on the way soon, and that is indeed what appears to be happening. There’s no word on an official release date or what original colorways will be returning of the Air Shake, but expect them to arrive in early 2017 and stay tuned for more details.

Nike SB Brings Back The Legendary Sea Crystal In Low Form

Nike Skateboarding has been bringing back some of their most iconic Dunk colorways, but with a twist – Highs become Lows and vice versa. Some love the idea that’s given us new takes on such classics like both De La Soul iterations, the Diamond Dunks, and much more, but others are calling for true and through retro treatments. Regardless, you have to give the skate imprint props for attacking the retro treatment in a somewhat new and exciting way.

Today we get a look at April 2004’s Nike Dunk High Pro “Sea Crystal” in low top form slated to release this Fall 2016 season. The Nike Dunk Low Sea Crystal features that head-turning array of Ice Green on the suede panels and matching midsole – we’re just hoping that these won’t have a tendency to dirty as quickly as its predecessor.

The Nike SB Dunk Low “Sea Crystal” also comes equipped with a unique antler-laden Nike SB logo on the insole while a set of black or white laces will come for your swapping out pleasure. What do you think of the look? Check out more detailed shots below and stay tuned for a release date right here on Sneaker News.

Nike Air Foamposite Pro Dr. Doom Releasing On Black Friday

Nike Sportswear is celebrating Black Friday in style with the return of the iconic Nike Air Foamposite Pro Dr. Doom on November 25th. The Foamposite Pro Dr. Doom was an outlier of the Fantastic Four Pack back in the day, when the silhouette was a bit less coveted in the sneaker world and even sat on store shelves for quite some time. We doubt that will be the case this coming Black Friday season, as traditionalists and a new generation of sneakerheads can all look forward to the simplicity of this stark Black and White upper.

The Dr. Doom Foamposites went a completely different route than Victor von Doom’s signature colors of green and silver, with his villainous intent represented through a black Foamposite upper, white Swoosh branding on the side panel, and a matching white lining with the bottom. The clean look released before Foamposite madness hit a critical mass years later, but even then the Nike Foamposite Pro Dr. Doom pairs represented a different era of sneaker collecting.

Are you excited about the return of the Foamposite Pro Dr. Doom on November 25th? Let us know in the comments section below and be sure to stay updated on the latest release dates right here on Sneaker News.

Just introduced yesterday, more official images of this forthcoming Nike Air Foamposite One in a Halloween-inspired theme is provided.

Suggested to be a GS/kids exclusive, the basketball sneaker’s rugged foam upper is draped in glossy black, while the defining element is focalized on the rear which bear a jack-o?-lantern smile, in addition to candy corn embroidery logos on the heels. In addition, the signature 1 Cent logo is updated with a flame that represents the lit candles inside a pumpkin. Finally, a translucent outsole rounds out the profile.

Expect this pair to make its arrival at select Nike retailers sometime next month, but, stay tuned to KicksOnFire for more updates.

Author’s Take

I’ll always be a fan of this sneaker. This theme is pretty cool and I would be all-over it back then. Nonetheless, a solid option for kids this season.

The Nike Air Foamposite One in Maroon will be the next iteration of the silhouette, as it’s scheduled to make its debut next month.

While it was initially reported as an adult-exclusive pair, official images of a kids’ version are now revealed. Overall, the basketball sneaker is defined by metallic maroon covering its entire rugged molded upper, while black accents throughout further pronounce its understated, yet bold design.

Finished off with a versatile gum outsole, this pair is set to make its debut at Nike retailers on October 28th.

Already offered in its original and flyknit constructions, the newly-introduced Nike Roshe Two has just received a premium update to its line.

Introducing a new leather upper, this rendition simply exudes more lifestyle flair. The simple and clean component is detailed with matching elements such as embroidered Swooshes, laces and pull tabs, while it all rests atop a contrasting white sole unit.

Rendered in three colorways — vachetta tan, black and grey — you can purchase these pairs at select Nike retailers starting today, September 15th, for $130 each.

Author’s Take

As I?ve shared before, I?m pretty biased towards the vachetta tan option. This rendition is versatile for all genders and it should garner some attention nonetheless.

The Nike SB Dunk Sea Crystal Is Returning

The infamous Nike SB Dunk Sea Crystal will be revived in a low-top form this year, after its initial high-top debut back in 2004.

Essentially one of the most beloved colorways on the silhouette, the sneaker simply retains its OG vibe. Ice Green, black, sea crystal and white cover the sneaker’s entirety, while the model has also been updated with leather panels, instead of its full traditional suede makeup for more premium flair.

Finished off with an option of black or white laces, you can expect to find this solid pair at select Nike retailers sometime in October.

Stay tuned to KicksOnFire for updates.

Release Date: Nike KD 9 On-Court

Nike KD 9 Nike KD 9 1

Joining alongside the Black Space colorway next month will be another iteration of the Nike KD 9, dubbed “On-Court” or initially nicknamed ?OKC Home,? since Durant has now departed for Golden State.

Doused predominantly in blue with subtle black detailing across its intricate flyknit upper, more tonal accents of black are utilized for the laces, inner lining and outsole, followed by additional hits of blue gracing the midsole unit. White swooshes on the side panels further pronounce its profile and also rounds out the design.

Retailing for $150, you can purchase this standout pair at select Nike retailers starting October 4th.

Author’s Take

I like the tonal look overall. The colors used are nicely placed as well. This isn’t a pair I’m interested in though.

I like the Air Presto and the Air Presto Ultra Flyknit, but this Mid version is a little too extra for me. I don’t like the extended collar and all the zippers. These are a pass for me.
