Nike To Release Pacers-Themed Colorway Of The PG 1 In March

Paul George heads into All-Star Weekend as one of the best two-way players in the NBA today and he’ll be debuting his first signature model with Nike Basketball, the Nike PG 1 along the way. While we’ve already gotten confirmation that his Nike PG 1 “Pre-Heat” debut colorway will release next week, this Pacers’ themed offering known as the Nike PG 1 “The Bait” will drop on March 4th for $110 USD.

George likes to go fishing on his off-days to relax, and this pair features a vibrant heel tab in homage of the bright colored bait used to catch fish. The rest of the upper matches his Pacers uniform thanks to a dark Obsidian base and University Gold accents. Unlike the “Pre-Heat” colorway, this pair’s outsole is a solid light grey colorway to match the midsole speckling on the forefoot.

Check out more of this Pacers-themed Nike PG 1 “The Bait” below and grab your pair on March 4th for $110 USD. Stay tuned for more of Nike Basketball’s upcoming drops via our always-updated Release Dates page.

Indiana Pacers’ star forward, Paul George, and his first signature basketball sneaker with the Nike PG 1, will be offered in this stealthy colorway very soon.

Dubbed, “Pre-Heat”, the silhouette was first seen on Paul George himself during Wednesday?s match against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Flaunting a tonal black theme across its leather and mesh composition, the model is punctuated with iridescent detailing applied on the upper eyelets and swooshes, while a speckled midsole and multicolor translucent outsole finishes off the bold design altogether.

Retailing for $110, you can purchase this upcoming variation at select Nike retailers starting next Saturday, February 25th.

Additionally, The Bait edition will follow on March 4th.

The Upcoming Nike Air Max 1 OG Releases Will Come With The Models OG Box

Rumors have been going around saying that the Nike Air Max 1 OG (Sport Red and Sport Royal) would be making a return next month to celebrate the model’s 30 year anniversary as well as one of the several special drops commemorating Air Max Day. Although Nike had not confirmed these releases, this new news stating that the shoes well also be accompanied by the OG box further proves that the rumors of the return could very well be true. Just in case you’re too young or never seen the OG Air Max 1 box before, check it out above. The classic look of the box consists of a bold Red lid and a striped base done in two shades of Grey. We really hope the shoes (and box) do end up releasing next month. It’d be nice to re-up on a fresh new pair.

Where To Buy The Nike Air Force 1 High Sport Lux Vachetta Tan

Nike has been tinkering with Bruce Kilgore’s iconic basketball model, the Nike Air Force 1 in a number of new and exciting ways. While we’ve already gotten the militarized Nike SF-AF1 in a number of head-turning colorways, the latest limited edition model takes inspiration from luxurious aspirations with the retooled Nike Air Force 1 Sport Lux, slated to release globally on February 18th at select boutiques.

The idea with this model was to craft the perfect Nike Air Force 1 High to commemorate the 1980s classic and all its achieved as a lifestyle staple over the years. Designer Devon McKinney took over duties on this Air Force 1 High SL and wanted to breathe new premium life but not reinvent the wheel. He accomplished this through that signature shade of Vachetta Tan leather throughout while a 24K Rose Gold plated collar ring matched the removable lace tips. Steering wheel inspired stitching helps make the Swoosh branding stand out while a new fringe heel panel ushers the AF1 into the off-court realm.

That’s not all that’s updated either, as the Nike Air Force 1 Sport Lux features an improved construction for more comfort than ever thanks to drop in cushioning comprised of natural motion sipings for flexibility, Lunarlon foam, and Zoom Air cushioning on the heel. Where To Buy The Nike Air Zoom Generation Vachetta Tan

We’re only a day away from the latest LeBron James signature shoe finally getting a widespread release in the Nike LeBron 14, but Nike Basketball had another surprise for us this year: the first-ever LeBron retro in the form of the premium upgraded Nike Air Zoom Generation has been floating around for quite some time now. To celebrate 5 Decades of Basketball, the Swoosh has upgraded the H2 Hummer-inspired silhouette with a NikeLab treated Vachetta Tan leather, and only a handful of shops will be stocking the pair this Friday, February 10th.

The Nike Zoom Generation first released in 2003 and has since been upgraded in a number of ways. A heavier and more durable leather quality accompanies the exclusive “5 Decades of Basketball” rendition here, as the infamous “Wheat” aesthetic is referenced through NikeLab and Nike Sportswear’s favorite Vachetta Tan shade. Copper chrome accents hit the heel, lace eyelets, and toe for a truly luxurious colorway, but you’ll have to pay a bit extra: this Nike Zoom Generation Vachetta Tan retails for $200 USD.

Detailed Look At The Nike PG 1

We?ve known that Paul George would be getting his signature sneaker for quite some time, but now the Nike PG 1 is finally releasing after years of waiting. Designer Tony Hardman took on the responsibility of crafting this head-turning debut model for one of the NBA?s premier two-way players and after a career spent working his way up through Nike Basketball?s proving grounds, PG13 will finally have his own model releasing at retailers in the not-so-distant future.

Hardman was attached to a number of James Harden-helmed models like the Nike Zoom Run The One and the Nike Hyperchase before James bolted for the rival three stripes. You can definitely see some similar design elements in the PG 1 thanks to a sleek, lightweight profile, an aggressive Zoom-laden outsole with an updated traction pattern perfect for cutting to the hoop, and a simple slip-on construction. Dynamic Flywire holds the lockdown midfoot strap in place for an interesting twist while synthetic overlays split the medial side for a flexible yet supportive fit.

After coming back from one of the most gruesome on-court injuries during a Team USA scrimmage, Paul George has proved he?s capable of fighting through adversity and getting back to his place among the league?s elite. Today we get a look at 2 brand new colorways: the recently previewed Nike PG 1 ?Pre-Heat? set to debut the model at retail and a Pacers-themed Midnight Navy/Yellow offering with a splash of purple and reflective silver on the heel tab for an added pop. Which pair is your favorite?

Check out more detailed shots of the Nike PG 1 below and be on the lookout for both colorways to debut this March 2017. We?ll keep you updated on more Release Date info right here on Sneaker News.
