The Nike Kyrie 4 Red Carpet Drops As A Surprise

Nike surprised the sneaker world yesterday when they dropped a brand new colorway of the Nike Kyrie 4 without any kind of warning.

In honor of Kyrie Irving’s upcoming movie “Uncle Drew”, Nike decided to release the Nike Kyrie 4 in an all-red “Red Carpet” colorway. The shoe features a red mesh upper with patent leather detailing on the mudguard and a red velvet sockliner as a nod to the velvet ropes seen on a ?Red Carpet.? Gold detailing on the Kyrie logo on the tongue and Swoosh logos complete the look.

The only way to buy these shoes was you had to use Facebook Messenger by sending four emojis, a basketball, fire, clapper and skeleton key. Once you sent that code, customers received a link to unlock these Kyrie 4s making them available for purchase.

So if you were able to pick up a pair then consider yourself one of the lucky few. A wider release is not scheduled at the moment but these can possibly drop around the time the Uncle Drew movie hits theaters on June 29, 2018.

A First Look At The Kendrick Lamar x Nike Cortez Kenny 3

Although not yet confirmed, all signs point to the shoe you see above being the next collab between Kendrick Lamar and Nike. Dubbed the Kendrick Lamar x Nike Cortez Kenny 3, this special version of the Cortez comes dressed in a Black upper contrasted by the White Swoosh and Red ribbon stripe going up the tongue.

Shared by Dave Free, president of Top Dawg Entertainment, the Kendrick Lamar x Nike Cortez Kenny 3 has no release date yet but rumors suggest that the shoe could drop on May 11th at TDE x Nike pop-up shops that are scheduled to open in conjunction with The Championship Tour dates.

If they do end up dropping that day, it should be noted that there are sixteen different pop-up shops, with six of those being in partnerships with Nike. Those six locations includes: NYC (Concepts), LA (Blends), Boston (Bodega), Toronto (Livestock), Chicago (Notre), and Houston (location TBD). Stay tuned as more info begins to surface.

Did Nike Just Release A Cortez To Celebrate Cinco de Mayo

The Cinco de Mayo holiday is taking place this weekend. Could this new colorway of the Nike Cortez possibly be an homage to the country of Mexico? It’s most likely not, but the colors used on this shoe serve as a great representation of the Mexican flag.

This Nike Cortez Basic Nylon is constructed out of a White nylon on the majority of the upper with grey suede overlays on the toe, eyestay, and heel. Pine Green leather then hits the Swoosh check as well as the heel tab. Completing the Mexico-inspired look are hits of Habanero Red on the midsole and the Nike branding on the heels.

If you’d like to pick up this Nike Cortez to celebrate Cinco de Mayo weekend you can do so now at select Nike retailers for $70.
