Nike Sportswear took the iconic silhouette and took away the performance aspects to fit in a woven side panel construction on an all leather upper. Today we get a look at the latest colorway, a monochromatic Phantom grey that extends to the leather lining and embossed Swoosh branding. The Nike Air Max 90 Woven “Phantom” will release on April 30th at Nike retailers worldwide.

Following tonal iterations, the Nike Air Huarache Ultra is introduced in another new colorway, this time mixing four shades to create another eye-catching offering.

Constructed of a revamped breathable mesh upper that offers superb comfort and breathability throughout, the component is rendered in monochromatic tones of black and grey, while the focal point is directed at its green-colored overlays on the side panels.

Additional hits are also seen on the rear band of its distinctive heel cage system and tongue tab, as it all rests atop a clean white rubber sole unit.

Yesterday we were hit with the unfortunate news that music and entertainment legend Prince passed away at the age of 57. He was considered one of the most beloved musicians, performers and human beings by many people.

Mache Customs shared with us this custom Nike Air Classic BW that he created to pay tribute to the late legend. The colorway utilized is the OG Persian Violet pair but Mache has added “Purple Rain” by the heel along with Prince’s symbol. It seems like the rest of the shoe remained untouched, but the small addition gives a completely new look to the shoe. Here’s the caption that Mache wrote for this picture.

“It’s sad day today with the passing of Prince as well as Chyna from the wrestling world. These Purple Rain Themed BW’s are my way of celebrating the life and accomplishments of the Purple legend. May both of you find your peace up there.”

Great gesture by Mache Customs and we send our condolences to the families of both Prince and Chyna.

Now retired, Kobe Bryant’s latest variation of his signature Nike Kobe 11 is set to make its official debut next week.

Essentially paying tribute to his very brief stint with the Charlotte Hornets, as he was originally drafted by the team during the 1996 NBA Draft, the model is draped with the Hornets’ signature palette overall.

White and grey is implemented across its upper, while the defining theme of purple and blue lagoon accents is prominent on the Swooshes across its side panels, laces, tongue and inner lining.

Nike Basketball is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Nike Air Penny 2 by bringing back a number of classic colorways this summer. Penny’s signature line is second only to Michael Jordan’s in the pantheon of 90s basketball history, and if it weren’t for numerous injuries, who knows how many more Penny signatures there’d be. The latest colorway slated to release is a simple Orlando Magic Home rendition, one that sees a sterile white upper accented by just a few hints of the “Atlantic Blue” shade on the heel and lining. Black does most of the heavy lifting on the outsole, piping, and tongue while ‘1 Cent’ logos can be found prominently stitched on the side panels. We got our first look at the Nike Kyrie 2 Team Red a couple days ago, and today we’re here to provide you with the latest images.

This latest version of the Kyrie 2 comes in an all-Team Red motif, but what really sets this version apart from past Kyrie 2 releases is the fact that it comes with a suede mid-foot strap, which is something we’ve never seen before on the model. The used of suede on the shoe ends up giving it more of a premium look and feel. Big fan of Team Red and I really like the way it looks on the Kyrie 2. Although Nike has not yet confirmed it, I heard these will drop in GS sizing only, which totally sucks if it ends up being true.

Although Nike hasn’t “officially” released the Nike Air More Uptempo White / Varsity Red, there are already a handful of people who have managed to get their hands on a pair.  While we wait for a wider release, today we get our latest look of the boldest colorway on Scottie Pippen (un)official shoe.

The shoe starts off with a White leather upper. The White palette is beautifully contrasted by the Varsity Red hits placed on the ‘AIR’ branding on the side panels, which happens to extend all the way to the heel region. The bottom of the ‘AIR’ letters also happen to reach the midsole region, resulting in a larger than life branding hit. Additional red hits found by way of the Nike Swoosh branding can be seen on the midsole, toe and tongue. Growing up in the Los Angeles area during my entire childhood, not a day went by where I didn’t see at least one kid in my school rock a fresh pair of Cortez. The Nike Cortez may not be as well known as a Nike Air Force 1, but there’s no denying that the shoe has made a big impact in Southern California street culture. Barrios and hoods such as Watts, East Los Angeles and Compton were all well represented with the Cortez. This time around, the Cortez is going to represent one of those cities. Let’s take our first look at the Nike Cortez QS Compton.

Coming in two tonal offerings, the Cortez come in all-white or all-black rocking the nylon and leather construction. The shoe honors Compton by using the type font synonymous with the city on the branding placed on the heel as ‘1972’ is embroidered in tonal fashion.
