The Air Jordan 8 “Playoffs” made its original debut back in 2007 and it was last offered in 2013. Now, the highly-coveted colorway of the classic silhouette will be making a retro appearance later on this year, as it pays homage to the last sneaker that Michael Jordan wore during Game 6 of the 1993 NBA Finals against the Phoenix Suns, which eventually led the Chicago Bulls to their first three-peat NBA Championship as well as Michael Jordan’s third straight Finals MVP.

The 2023 retro will reportedly flaunt the very same “Black/True Red” color scheme as the 2013 retro and essentially stay true to its OG makeup featuring the distinctive graphic overlays on the mudguards and multicolor rubber outsole. Our first look also shows that the shoe will also come with its original Red pull tabs like the OG pair instead of Black that was used on the previous retro.

UPDATE (9/15): After receiving a shock drop via SNKRS on 9/14, Nike has confirmed that the 2023 Air Jordan 8 Playoffs will be releasing via SNKRS and select retailers on September 30th for $210. The sneaker will be releasing in full family sizing. Here is what Nike had to say regarding this release:

On the heels of the Corporate x Jordan Air Ship collaboration, the Jordan Air Ship partakes in another collaboration with none other than Japanese retailers, Forget-me-nots. Dropping later on this month, here is a detailed look at the Forget-me-nots x Jordan Air Ship From Bud To Flower.

Said to be a women’s exclusive colorway of the model, the Forget-me-nots x Jordan Air Ship From Bud To Flower admires the forget-me-not flower?s intriguing transformation. This delicate blossom begins as a modest white bud and matures into a vivid blue or purple bloom. The overall aesthetics of this sneaker attempts to mimic this evolution as it consists of a White leather upper contrasted by the Grey suede Swoosh and the Azure hue taking care of the Nike Air branding on the heel tab and tongue tag. You will also find a similar hue that more on the Blue side taking care of the inner lining and rubber outsole. Both of these colors mirror the hues of the forget-me-not flower. Other small details worth mentioning include the jagged-edge leather collar and the possibility of tearaway layers on the upper to further add to the “From Bud To Flower” story/theme.

In release news, the Air Jordan 11 WMNS Neapolitan is debuting in November.

Classic Jordan Brand colors converge on this new colorway of the Jordan Luka 2 that will be releasing for holiday 2023. This offering of Luka Doncic’s 2nd signature shoe with Jordan Brand gets engulfed in Black all over the upper which has been constructed out of mesh with nubuck and TPU overlays. To contrast the heavy dose of Black we see the addition of a grey cement print on the signature IsoPlate as well as Bright Crimson on the various branding seen throughout the shoe. White rubber midsoles and a grey semi-translucent outsole finish off this Jordan Luka 2 that will release later this holiday season for $130.

Dropping in September, here is a first look at the Corporate x Jordan Air Ship Light Menta.

This special collaborative iteration of the Jordan Air Ship has Cincinnati-based sneaker shop Corporate teaming up with Jordan Brand to create the unique look for the Air Ship you see above. Corporate prides itself on playing an active role in the community. They are known for promoting local brands and artists to help them expand their reach. They also run a non-profit called Bigger Than Sneakers that helps teens in finding their path.

Revealed by (Corporate) owner Matt Tomamichel at a special event over the weekend, the Corporate x Jordan Air Ship comes dressed in a  Light Menta, Metallic Silver, Kinetic Green, and Sail color scheme. It is given a Light Menta suede upper paired up with matching leather overlays on the vamp, Swooshes, and ankle collars. Contrast comes by way of the White accents on the laces, outline Swoosh, tongue labels, and midsole. Defining features include the ?Corporate? branding on the lateral heel, the shop?s ?Got ?Em? slogan on the heel, and ?For The City? on the inner lining. A Grey rubber outsole and special packaging round out the main features of the sneaker.

Retailing for $150, look for the Corporate x Jordan Air Ship Light Menta to release on September 8th, at  Corporategotem.com. A wider launch at Nike NBHD retailers will take place on September 15th. Jordan Brand continues to push the Air Jordan 1 High Zoom Comfort 2 which made its debut almost one year ago. On deck today we take a look at a new colorway that is perfectly suited for the fall which takes on a color combination of Cacao Wow, Picante Red, Black, Hyper Pink, and Sail. Noted as a women’s colorway, this Air Jordan 1 utilizes a suede, mesh, and synthetic upper as the sneaker starts off with a Black nubuck construction on the base of the upper along with Cacao Wow (brown) suede on the overlays. For a burst of color we have Picante Red on the cut-out mesh Swooshes on the side panels and Hyper Pink on the collars and inner liner. Both colors then come together on the tongue tags while Sail rubber midsoles and two-tone rubber outsoles with Formula 23 Foam and Zoom Air technology finish off the look. The Air Jordan 1 High OG “Praline” is yet another iteration of the iconic silhouette and it’s suggested to make its debut this fall.

Done in a Praline, White, and Sail color scheme, the Air Jordan 1 High OG WMNS Praline is inspired by luxury handbags as it comes constructed with premium leather, mesh tongues and satin liners to give off that luxurious aesthetic. Details include a White base and Tan overlays all tied up with satin-like flat laces. Other features include the Tan ?Nike Air? branding on the tongue tags, the White ?Wings? branding on the ankle, a Sail midsole and Tan rubber outsole.

Thee Air Jordan 12 Cherry will finally be getting the retro treatment this year. This sneaker has been rumored to release for the last few years, but for one reason or another, it never has. 2023 will finally be the year we get a retro drop of this fan favorite Air Jordan 12.

The Air Jordan 12 Cherry first released back in 1997. It became a fan favorite once we saw Jordan rocking them during his fifth NBA Championship season. Design details include a White leather upper with Red textured mudguards that extend down to the rubber sole. Elsewhere you will find Silver hits on the upper eyelets, White on the ?23? on the heels with a Black and White zig-zag pattern on the outsole. The 2023 version will be releasing in true OG form, which means it will look pretty much identical to the original pair that released in 1997.

Subtle Halloween vibes make their way onto this new colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Mid that will be releasing for the fall of 2023. Done in an official color makeup of Night Stadium, Black, Flat Pewter, Total Orange, and Neutral Grey, this Air Jordan 1 Mid opts between light and dark shades of grey on the upper in a combination of smooth suede and cracked nubuck for a look that is out of the ordinary. To contrast the grey upper and to complete the Halloween theme we have the addition of Total Orange on the Jumpman logos on the tongues and insoles as well as the stitching outline on the Swooshes. White rubber midsoles and black outsoles finish off the design on this Air Jordan 1 Mid that is scheduled to release on October 1st for $135.

With the highly anticipated Air Jordan 3 White Cement Reimagined releasing earlier this year, reports have surfaced of another classic Jordan sneaker that will also be getting the “Reimagined” treatment in 2024 with the release of the Air Jordan 4 Bred Reimagined.

The Air Jordan 4 Bred Reimagined will come constructed out of a premium leather upper instead of the usual nubuck construction we’ve seen on the original and past retro versions of the Air Jordan 4 Bred. Although not unveiled yet, the Air Jordan 4 Bred Reimagined is also expected to come with Nike Air branding on the heels. Also yet to be determined is if the sneaker will come with a vintage/aged look similar to the other ?Reimagined? releases.

Current reports suggest we see the Air Jordan 4 Bred Reimagined drop on February 17th during All-Star Weekend  for the retail price of $215. UPDATE (4/6): According to zsneakerheadz, the yet to be unveiled Air Jordan 4 Bred Reimagined will be constructed out of a premium leather upper instead of the traditional nubuck upper. As of today the release is set to take place sometime during March of 2024.

It looks like another J Balvin x Air Jordan collaboration will be dropping later on this year. Over the past couple of years we’ve seen both J Balvin x Air Jordan 1 and J Balvin x Air Jordan 2 collabs. Now there is word going around that an J Balvin x Air Jordan 3 collaboration will be debuting this summer.

Inspired by the sunsets of the artist’s hometown of Medellín, the J Balvin x Air Jordan 3 is given a Sail-colored leather base equipped with perforated tongues and Grey elephant print overlays on the toes and heels. The standout feature and detail is the  multicolor gradient print along the midsole as well as on the heel tabs, which house ?Nike Air? and J Balvin?s face logo respectively. It is also being reported that the J Balvin x Air Jordan 3 will be releasing in unisex, preschool, and toddler sizing while also releasing alongside a unisex apparel capsule that will include pieces such as leather vests and woven jackets.

The J Balvin x Air Jordan 3 Medellin Sunset is slated to release on September 23rd at select Jordan Brand retailers and Nike.com (SNKRS) for the retail price of $250.
