The Air Jordan 13 OG True Red Returns This Month

Jordan Brand has a ton of goodies in-store for the coming NBA All-Star Weekend festivities from their Jordan All-Star Collection inspired by the ever-changing color of a chameleon’s skin to the return of the lauded original colorway of the Air Jordan 13. Today we get an official look at the Air Jordan 13 OG True Red, a pair that served as the inspiration behind Jordan Brand’s Christmas Day PE Collection thanks to the vibrant red accent on te mudguard paired with the glowing green holographic bubble branding on the ankle. The Air Jordan 13 OG True Red will be available in a full-family size run on Saturday, February 18th.

Jordan Brand’s push of the panther-inspired Air Jordan 13 retro started with the “Black Cat” colorway and will also feature other OG offerings ranging from the “Bred” and “Playoff” options later in the year. The pair is not only head-turning for its unique construction but for the history behind the silhouette, as Michael Jordan chased his sixth career title wearing the Tinker Hatfield-helmed design throughout the 1997-1998 campaign. Mike would introduce the Air Jordan 14 in the NBA Finals of course, but this beauty got him there. The OG True Red colorway utilizes a premium white tumbled leather instead of the alternate mesh tooling found on subsequent pairs while a bolstered True Red suede adds a flashy finish on the ankle, mudguard, and midsole throughout. You can see first retail lifestyle images here.

Check out more detailed shots of this coming Air Jordan 13 below and be sure to head over to our always-updated Air Jordan Release Dates page for a better look at the coming Jumpman attractions.

The Air Jordan 1 Is Tweaked For The Golf Course

While we’ve already seen the AJ 9, AJ 6 and even an exclusive rendition of the AJ 11 transformed into a golf cleat, the iconic Air Jordan 1, more than 30 years after its initial debut, is now reinvented for the golf course.

With Michael Jordan known to be an advocate for the sport as well, interestingly, Michael started his interest in golf during 1984, the exact same year Nike started to develop the Air Jordan 1.

This limited offering essentially stays true to the silhouette’s iconic profile, although, with a few notable changes, such as extra padding to provide additional comfort and support around the ankle, Jumpman logo on the tongue, a fully waterproof upper and a Nike Free-inspired outsole with soft spikes which adds more depth to the overall profile.

You can purchase this exclusive silhouette in two colorways (white/black/varsity red and white/metallic silver) starting this Friday, Feb. 10th at select Nike and JB retailers, as well as online.

Russell Westbrook Wears A New Air Jordan 30.5

Russell Westbrook is putting up ridiculous numbers this season as his MVP-worthy season continues (unless James Harden has something to say about that). While he’s currently the face of Jordan Brand, the explosive superstar has NOT been wearing the Air Jordan 31 this season.

Instead he has opted to wear a special shoe that is being referred to as the Air Jordan 30.5. The shoe uses the Flyweave upper of the Air Jordan 31, but pairs it up with the sole unit of the Jordan 30. It has been reported that Westbrook prefers the sole unit/cushioning of the Jordan 30 over the 31 which is why this custom version was made exclusively for him. Russ was recently spotted at practice wearing a new white and blue colorway that pairs up nicely with the OKC uniforms. His “RW” logo is also seen on the tongue for that PE touch.

The Playoff-Ready Jordan Super.Fly 5 PO Is Now Available

Blake Griffin has been championing the Jordan Super.Fly series for almost a half-decade now, and the latest Jordan Super.Fly 5 received a playoff-ready update a little earlier than expected this year, complete with a completely overhauled upper with a new midfoot strap for added lockdown support. The latest Jordan Super.Fly 5 PO colorway only matches one playoff-destined team, though, as the “Purple Dynasty” look features a shade similar to the alternate jerseys of Michael Jordan’s own franchise: the Charlotte Hornets.

While the Hornets are currently battling the Bucks and Bulls for an Eastern Conference Playoffs spot in a surprisingly competitive Eastern Conference this year, perhaps the Jordan Super.Fly 5 PO Purple Dynasty will help give the squad an extra push. The Super.Fly 5 PO first caught our attention with an OVO-themed Black/Metallic Gold colorway, but there’s more than just the color choices that have changed. A patent leather-like midfoot strap and mudguard features a bold Jumpman branding on the medial side while cracked elephant print adds a touch of luxury.

What do you think of the latest Jordan Super.Fly 5 PO? Check out more detailed shots below and grab your pair a little early from select retailers like Renarts for $140 USD before more colorways pop up on Nike.com.

Is The Air Jordan 1 High BHM 2017 A Cop Or Drop

We’re exactly one week away from the release of the Air Jordan 1 High BHM 2017. Which leads to my next question: How many of you are looking to get a pair?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge fan of the Black and Gold color scheme, but the fact that Jordan Brand decided add removable velcro patches on the Nike Swoosh, Wings logo, and alternate Jumpman and BHM logos on the tongues makes me feel kind of antsy. Sure, it sounds like a cool “think outside the box” idea, but what happens when you accidentally lose one of the velcro pieces? You end up with a Jordan 1 with velcro as branding. As far as the rest of the shoe goes, it’s really simple and clean as a Black tumbled leather upper is placed on top of a Black rubber midsole. If you have more courage than I do, you will be able to pick up a pair of the Air Jordan 1 High BHM 2017 on February 11th for $150. Who’s copping?

Who’s ready for another new colorway of the Air Jordan 8? After seeing the release of the “Take Flight” colorway last month, next up is the Alternate version.

Designed with the idea that this colorway could have been worn by Michael Jordan back in his playing days, this Jordan 8 features a combination of white, black, and red throughout the entire shoe for that Chicago-inspired look.
