The Air Jordan 5 Premium Returns In Pure Platinum

air-jordan-5-premium-pure-platinum-881432-003-0

The Jordan 5 has been a lifestyle classic since it debuted in 1990, so it makes perfect sense that Jordan Brand would rethink the silhouette for a premium, Pinnacle-esque release for Summer 2017. Today we get a look at just that, as the Jordan 5 Premium will release in a new Pure Platinum colorway featuring elevated materials like a woven leather side panel instead of the usual mesh insert, an updated ‘Flight’ tongue tag, and raised Jumpman branding on the tongue. We’ve seen this look before in a military-inspired release earlier in the year, known as the Jordan 5 “Take Flight”, priced at $400. Check out more official photos of the Air Jordan 5 Premium Pure Platinum and stay tuned for a Release Date coming in the near future right here on Sneaker News.

The Air Jordan 1 High Decon Is Back In Easter Colors

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the Jordan 1 in an alternate canvas tooling. Of course, the most popular form of the lifestyle-grade material is the AJKO series, but you can’t forget about the Jordan 1 Deconstructed, headed to retailers this Spring 2017 season in two Easter-inspired shades of pink and blue that furthers the Jumpman’s ever-growing lifestyle catalog through simple one-piece uppers that showcase the iconic panels through subtle stitching. Even the Swoosh branding is relegated to the fine stitch pattern while Vachetta Tan leather marks the embossed ‘Nike Air’ branding. What do you think of the Jordan 1 High Decon‘s new pastel options? Check out more detailed photos below and expect an update on when these will actually arrive at retailers via our Jordan Release Dates page in the near future.

The atmos x Air Jordan 3 x Air Max 1 Pack Is Releasing Soon

In celebration of Air Max Day ? March 26th, this exclusive Atmos x Air Jordan 3 (Nike Air Max 1 Day Pack) will be offered, which also marks as the very first time that both pairs will included in a standout set.

Both defined by exotic flair, the Air Jordan 3 features a black nubuck upper with Safari print overlays prominent on the toe and heel, instead of its traditional elephant print motif. In addition, classic Nike Air branding adorns heels, while an icy outsole caps off the overall profile.

While the original Nike Air Max 1 Atmos Elephant will be sold in a separate release, the revised pair in this pack bears slight differences, such as elephant print insoles and a Jumpman logo on the outsole.

Finally, both pairs are packaged in a special branded box that incorporates the respective theme throughout.

Extremely limited in quantities, look for this standout set at select Nike retailers this Saturday, March 18th for $400.

Vachetta Tan Appears On The Air Jordan 1 Low OG Premium

air-jordan-1-low-og-premium-vachetta-tan-pack-01

Vachetta Tan has been a signifier of Jordan Brand’s most premium offerings for quite some time now, as the shade is meant to represent all natural leather of the highest quality, even if it is faux-leather in actuality. That’s okay with us, as long as they keep reinventing some of their most classic models in new and exciting ways. That’s what we get with the Air Jordan 1 Low OG Premium, a harkening back to the original 1985 construction of the Jordan 1 in low-top form, and this time it’s headed to retailers with a premium twist in two colorways.

The Air Jordan 1 Low OG Premium features two colorways – a smooth black suede and a Spring 2017 ready Ice Blue, each featuring embossed Wings branding on the heel and ‘Nike Air’ on the tongue. These details work particularly well with gold lace tips and an all white midsole and outsole combination. We don’t know when exactly these new Jordan 1s will release, but the good news is, they’re already on eBay for only $140 USD, so you don’t even have to wait.

You can buy both pairs on eBay here: (Ice Blue) and (Black).

Look For The Air Jordan 5 Red Suede This Summer

The Air Jordan 5 is set to return in a vibrant red finish this year, although, not in the classic Raging Bull theme.

With plush suede comprising the majority of the sneaker’s build, the model’s entirety is essentially dipped in the eye-catching tone. Complementing 3M reflective accents are seen on the tongue, followed by hits of black adorning the inner lining, shark teeth component on the midsole and Jumpman branding across its heel. Finally, an icy outsole caps off the overall profile.

Priced at $190, look for this standout pair at select Nike and Jordan Brand retailers starting July 1st.

Best Look Yet At The Upcoming KAWS x Air Jordan 4

Brian Donnelly aka KAWS has a rich history as a collaborative partner with the most relative/coveted brands, but has any of his past projects gained this much hype? His two Air Max releases of 2009 and even his Supreme team-ups (with the now defunct Original Fake imprint) haven’t spun the ‘net around with this much force. The upcoming Air Jordan 4 might be one of the best sneaker releases of the year and perhaps one of Jordan Brand’s best collaborations in recent memory as it transforms one of the most heralded shoes in history with grey suede uppers, sublime detailing, and a dope shoe-box packaging to match.

Today we’re treated with the most thorough detailed look at the KAWS x Air Jordan 4, so explore the photo gallery ahead and see if you can spot something you might’ve missed earlier. The Kaws Jordans are set to release in late March in very limited quantities for $350.

The Jordan Six Rings Is Coming Back

jordan-six-rings-2017-retros-1

It’s been awhile since we’ve last seen the Jordan Six Rings, a hybrid model that combines the signature silhouettes Mike wore during all six of his NBA championships. The shoe got a little crazy and oversaturated the last time we saw it back in 2014, as it featured patent leathers, elephant print, and even football cleat PEs. Now we get word that the Jordan 6 Rings is coming back later this year in some simpler colorways to start, but time will only tell if it regains the confidence to sport color combinations like this one. The updated mudguard features new paint speckling and a tumbled leather while accents like Navy/Red-White and White/Royal-Black will release later this year. Stay tuned for more of this hybrid in the future right here on Sneaker News.

First Look At The Jordan Ultra Fly 2

You might remember the debut Jordan Ultra Fly as the head-turning almost alien-like model that an on-fire Jimmy Butler wore during the Bulls playoff push last season. The Kurim upper was flexible and unique enough to warrant your attention, and showed that Jordan Brand was willing to experiment with their on-court models while the retro release slate held down the purists out there. Today we get a look at the sequel, and there’s no denying that the Jordan Ultra Fly 2 is heavily influenced by the Air Jordan 15.

You can tell right away based on the Ultra Fly’s tongue, one that juts out in a similar ‘Flight’ inspired motif as the Jordan 15 retro. The slip-on mesh upper even features a woven-like pattern until it gives way to the modern Tape-esque tech on the mudguard for lockdown support. There’s Zoom Air to hold down the cushioning system while a wavy midsole adds unique definition to the otherwise retro-based model. What do you think of the look?

Continue onward for a full look at the coming Jordan Ultra Fly 2 and we’ll keep you updated on a stateside release right here on Sneaker News. In the meantime, the first Ultra Fly is available for a discount right now on Nike.com.

Jordan Brand Reveals Upcoming Air Jordan 31 Low Colorways

Jordan Brand entered full March Madness mode when they showcased some Jordan 31 Low PEs for their sponsored college teams headed into the annual tournament, and you could actually grab them at retail if you were a fan of the likes of UNC, Michigan, Georgetown, Marquette, or Cal State. If you’re looking for some unaffiliated colorways though, we have some good news for you.

Jordan Brand just previewed three new upcoming colorways of their latest performance model, as the usual Flyweave gradient perfectly matches the premium leather tongue and heel in the low-top variation. We might even go as far to say as we prefer the Air Jordan 31 Low to its normal mid-top counterpart. Sure, the Swoosh branding is ditched entirely here as is the overall Air Jordan 1 motif, but with a UNC-esque Navy/Carolina Blue, simple Black/White, and White/Ice options, these will all look great both on and off the court.

Check out some slick GIFs of the coming Jordan 31 Low colorways for Spring 2017 and be sure to head over to our Jordan Release Dates page for an updated look at all of the coming Jumpman attractions for the months ahead.
