The Air Jordan 8 appears in a brand new colorway this summer, coming in the classic cool grey theme. Inspired from the Air Jordan 11 that was the first to feature the versatile hue, the basketball sneaker features grey throughout its suede and leather upper with little pops of white on the midsole and tongue. Another detail is the year ?1993? seen on the heel tab as a nod to when the silhouette originally debuted.

To many, Michael Jordan was already labeled as the GOAT. Now it has become official according to a recent poll. ESPN?s The Undefeated partnered with Survey Monkey to poll the public on the 50 Greatest Black Athletes.

Back in April, 10,350 adults were asked to rank 200 athletes on 20 different surveys. The end result insisted that Michael Jordan had the perfect combination of dominance, impact and inspiration, thus making him the greatest black athlete of all-time.

From the time he was cut from the varsity basketball as a sophomore in high school to building his own billion-dollar brand. During his 15 NBA seasons in the NBA, Jordan was always known as “The Man”. He was as dominant as can be and after all was said and done he has size NBA Finals appearance, six NBA titles and six NBA Finals MVP awards under his belt.

This version of the Air Jordan 5 comes with a White leather upper accented by the Black detailing placed on areas such as the sole, laces, side panel netting and lining. What really helps the shoe stand out is the use of the Salmon hue on the tongue, the shark teeth of the midsole and the Jumpman on the icy translucent outsole. With the Charlotte Hornets having recently unveiled their new Jordan Brand uniforms for the upcoming season, now we move on to college football as we take a look at the new threads for the North Carolina Tar Heels football team.

Seen above, the Tar Heels will wear the Nike Mach Speed chassis, which is designed to maximize the athlete?s range of motion and increase breathability with a minimal-seam design, stretch woven materials and laser perforations in the front and back panels. The argyle print maintain classic UNC style, while the Jumpman logo offers fresh roots with Jordan Brand. In addition to the traditional home and away uniforms, Jordan Brand will outfit the team with an alternate navy look inspired by the practice shorts Jordan famously wore under his professional uniform. Accompanying the new uniforms is a special Tar Heel colorway of the Jordan Trainer 2 Flyknit, the brand’s latest Trainer.

Previously expected to release this past weekend, the release for the Jordan Trainer 2 Flyknit Michigan has been pushed back a few weeks.

The Jordan Trainer 2 Flyknit Michigan features a College Navy and Amarillo Flyknit upper with blue dominating the front portion of the shoe and yellow seen on the back. Additional details include a lock-down midfoot strap in blue with a yellow Jumpman logo on it, a gradient translucent outsole, ?Michigan? branding on the tongues, and ?Go Blue? written on the heels.

You’ll be able to grab your pair on August 30th for $140.

Did you know that Spike Lee’s son, Jackson Lewis Lee, also dabbles in the sneaker game?

Jackson has teased an upcoming project with Jordan Brand on his Instagram account which shows the name “Son Of Mars III.” It appears that Jackson will be continuing the legacy of his father’s signature shoe with the Jumpman. The caption for the picture reads “Did What I Came To Do. Thank You To Everyone At Brand Jordan.” Jackson has been working closely with Jordan Brand this Summer on the release of the Jordan Son Of Mars III, which will serve as the successor to the Jordan Son Of Mars 1 and 2.
