The Air Jordan 11 has a legacy rooted in dressed up design for the court. Air Jordan XI ?Cap and Gown? creators Donald Kelsey, Harrison Liu, Eric Sandy and Leah Nagengast kept Tinker Hatfield and MJ?s original dress shoe inspiration in mind when crafting the graduation-inspired and expertly elevated iteration of the Air Jordan favorite.

?We usually don?t have this kind of Air Jordan 11 launch in the summer, so we wanted to make it special,? says Nagengast, Material Designer. ?We focused on using elevated materials for the occasion of graduation, including a premium full-grain nubuck, as well as a lace that ties back to the graduation honor cords.? The Air Jordan 11 “Cap and Gown” is also the first all-black version of the beloved sneaker, and additional premium elements, such as the raised Jumpman logo and embroidered 23 on the heel serve to dress up the silhouette even further.

?We wanted to make sure the craftsmanship, workmanship and engineering of the shoe moved us forward, but also provided the familiar, comfortable ride for the court as well,? relates Liu, Footwear Developer. Ultimately, the Air Jordan 11 is all about breaking the tradition of dress shoes, but the Air Jordan 11 “Cap and Gown” is about evolving Jordan Brand tradition as well, with new materials and an occasion-oriented design that is fit for students celebrating all over the globe. The Jordan Relentless is one of Jordan Brand‘s latest training shoes and the Jumpman is wasting no time in giving it some shine as they have already included it in Derker Jeter’s latest RE2PECT Collection.

Looking at the Jordan Relentless RE2PECT we see that it features a synthetic and textile construction on the upper done in College Navy for breathable support. Foam cushioning has then been added for lightweight support and comfort during your workout while a midfoot strap provides a locked-down feel. Lastly we have flex grooves on the White midsole/outsole that allow your foot to move naturally. RE2PECT branding has been added on the ankle while Jumpman logos are placed on the tongue and heel, both in Metallic Gold for contrast.

These first images of the model show the silhouette sporting a ballistic mesh upper with smooth suede overlays, highlighted with a mid-foot strap system. Also, the traditional hologram on the heel is replaced with a Jumpman prism. Finally, a tweaked version of the outsole completes the design altogether.

After releasing in the all-black Hoodie Melo colorway last week, the Jordan Melo 1.5 will soon be dropping in more new colorways as we bring you a look at a new Team Orange pair.

Covered in the aforementioned hue all throughout the upper, this Jordan Melo 1.5 can also be thought of as an OKC colorway as the shoe features a mesh upper with a croc textured leather hitting the ankle/heel area as well as the toe cap. Completing the look is the addition of bright orange on the inner liner, eyelets, and heel. Carmelo/Jordan branding is also placed on the tongue, ankle, toe, and outsole.
