Russell Westbrook and Chris Paul already released their own Air Jordan retros inspired by their high school alma maters. Now it’s time for another long time Jordan Brand athlete to get his shine, Carmelo Anthony.

Inspired by Carmelo Anthony’s Oak Hill Academy High School, this new colorway of the Air Jordan 13 features a clean combination of Black and University Gold on upper. The front portion of the sneaker is constructed out of leather while nylon hits the side panels and suede is seen on the mudguard and heel. White “JUMPMAN” branding on the toe and a University Red Jumpman on the tongue complete the look.

Resembling the OG White Cement colorway, this Air Jordan 4 takes on a premium white leather upper with black detailing on the metal waffle eyelets, laces, midsole, and on the heel. As you probably already know by now, Jordan Brand will be releasing a new Air Jordan 1 Collection later this Summer that consists of three different colorways. Each one of these Jordan 1s comes with a canvas and leather construction on the upper and is highlighted by oversized Nike lettering on the lateral side panel and repeating text from a Nike copyright disclaimer on the medial side panel. Today we bring you new images of the Guava Ice pair which comes done in a combination of Guava Ice and Sail all throughout the upper. A Sail midsole and Guava Ice outsole round out the look.

Nigel Sylvester will soon be coming out with his very own Air Jordan collab. That’s big time. In a recent interview with air.jordan.com, Nigel explained with this collab means so much to him while also providing insight into his journey and connection with Jordan Brand. He talks about how the collab came to life and also took the time to explain some of the design details of the shoe.

Russ Bengtson says, “As long as I?ve known Nigel, since he was a teenager riding the Brooklyn Banks, he?s used his bike to take him beyond BMX. He became a Nike athlete 13 years ago through the 6.0 program, but even then he rode in Air Jordan 1s as a way to stand out from the crowd.

Now, with an Air Jordan 1 inspired by him, Nigel pays homage to those who came before him and gives something to those who will follow after. The Air Jordan 1 Hi OG NRG is a hand-distressed, pre-aged flip of the original red, black and white that?s re-imagined for a different journey.”

I saw dudes in my ?hood rock them. I used to watch Jordan highlights on YouTube before riding, too.

What was the first pair of Jordan 1s you actually got?

It was the retro Breds. Immediately, I was like, ?I?m going to ride my bike in these kicks.?

A lot of people would change into Jordans after they rode. They?d go riding in something else and then change into Jordans afterward.

I connected with the Jordan 1 so much, the clean and simple silhouette. It felt good on my pedal. I was like, what if I just rode in these Jordans? What would people say?
