The Jordan Ultra Fly 3 Gets Transformed Into A Low Top

Aside from the Air Jordan 33, Jordan Brand does make other basketball silhouettes that are built to be worn on the court. One of those shoes is the Jordan Ultra Fly 3. Previously available exclusively as a high/mid, the Jumpman has now converted it into a Low allowing for more liberty and range of motion for your ankles.

The Jordan Ultra Fly 3 Low comes equipped with a knitted mesh upper along with leather detailing on the tongue and heel tab. Other highlights of the silhouette include branding on the tongue and a contrasting stripe on the lateral midsole, Jumpman Flight branding on the heel tab, and a large 23 plastered on the rear midsole that extends down to the outsole. The two colors seen above come in a clean White with Light Smoke Grey and Black accents as well as a Gym Red pair with Black contrast.

All of you that play ball can expect the Jordan Ultra Fly 3 Low to make its way to select Jordan Brand retailers in the near future.

A New Blue And Grey Air Jordan 13 Surfaces

A new colorway of the Air Jordan 13 has just surfaced and it reminds us a lot of another colorway we’ve been waiting Jordan Brand to bring back.

Having a close resemblance to the Air Jordan 13 Flint, this new Air Jordan 13 features a darker shade of blue on the mesh side panels as well as a darker grey on the suede mudguards and heel. The main difference between this pair and the Flints comes on the midsole which features “AIR” and “JORDAN” text and Jumpman branding all over. A blue outsole wraps things up.

No word on the authenticity or a potential release date for this Jordan 13, but make sure you stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for updates.

All You Need To Know About Russell Westbrooks Jordan Why Not Zer0.2

Russell Westbrook’s second signature shoe with Jordan Brand has officially been unveiled. Dubbed the Jordan Why Not Zer0.2, above you will get a good look at the first colorway of the model known as Future History.

The Jordan Why Not Zer0.2 Future History is inspired by Westbrook looking back on his youth, including the various team colors he?s worn since high school. The shoe is also an ode to today?s youth, who will become our future leaders.

The Why Not Zer0.2, is a reflection of this: The design may seem chaotic, but Westbrook planned every element of it with a specific purpose in mind. Here are five things to know about the shoe.

Every colorway has a meaning

The lead colorway of the Why Not Zer0.2, dubbed ?Future History,? features vibrant color-blocking on different performance materials. At first glance the design may seem random, but each color is meant to reference a uniform that has helped define Westbrook’s career.

“Every colorway has a meaning behind it that is special to me,” says Westbrook. “With the Why Not Zer0.2, I wanted to take that storytelling to the next level with an exposed tag that helps illustrate the meaning behind the colors used.”

It honors those closest to him

The only thing Westbrook loves more than the game is his family, which is why he added his family crest on the inner tongue. He also used a black block on the midsole to honor late best friend, Khelcey Barrs III.

“It?s become a tradition for me to honor Khelcey by writing ‘KBIII’ on my game shoes. Each colorway of the WhyNotZer0.2 will have a designated area for me to write that on. I want people who wear my shoe to understand that playing with a purpose bigger than yourself is important,” says Westbrook.

Tech trumps trends

When it came to this design, Westbrook said he wanted a shoe that was created specifically to harness his game rather than follow any current style trends.

“From the first design meeting we had, my number one priority was making the best performance basketball shoe possible. I knew that if it was authentic to me then it would come out great,” he says. “That?s what the Why Not? mentality is all about: Doing you regardless of what people think and being confident in who you are.”

Unsurprisingly, the final result still manages to embody Westbrook’s signature Why Not? fashion sense.

It’s for the kids, too

Since entering the league, Westbrook has remained committed to inspiring the youth through his charitable work, and his message to them has always been: ?Why Not Me? Why not follow your dreams?? That’s why he pushed the Jordan Brand design team to create a premium performance shoe with an accessible price.

“Being a father, it was important to have my signature shoe available in full family sizing. You don?t see that often with performance shoes but for me it?s all about inspiring the next generation. That also means making the shoe affordable and accessible to people all around the world,” says Westrbook.

It drops this month

The Why Not Zer0.2 releases in men?s sizes globally on January 10 and in all sizes later this month. Learn more about the inspiration behind the “Future History” colorway at air.jordan.com.
