Jordan Brand is celebrating the 15th anniversary of its annual Quai 54 basketball tournament in Paris this year, and a special Air Jordan 8 “Quai 54” is introduced to commemorate the event, which begins on June 22 until June 23. The silhouette sports black nubuck/mesh uppers that is accentuated with a multicolor geometric pattern gracing the heel area and collar section. The same colorful hues are found on the chenille tongue labels, while semi-translucent TPU heel overlays, two-tone black/white midsole and an icy translucent outsole tops off the design.

Who needs to re-up on a fresh pair of the Air Jordan 6 Defining Moments? If this latest Jordan Brand rumor ends up being true, this special iteration of the Air Jordan 6 could end up releasing next year.

Set to be the first time to release since it’s official debut (2006), this Air Jordan 6 released as a pack that also included the Air Jordan 11 to make up one pack from the Air Jordan Defining Moments Pack. This pack was created to celebrate Michael Jordan?s two three-peats in 1991 and 1996.

The Air Jordan 6 Defining Moments comes dressed in a luxurious Black and Metallic Gold color scheme. No images of the shoe have leaked but the 2020 pair is expected to look just like the 2006 pair (see images below), which means it should come with a Black nubuck upper with Metallic Gold accents and translucent outsole.

While the Air Jordan 1 Mid has usually been seen as an afterthought, Jordan Brand has made a concerted effort over the last year to push not only new, but clean colorways of the silhouette. Today we add another to the list with this vibrant colorway that is sure to turn some heads this Summer. Although this may seem like a women’s colorway, this Air Jordan 1 Mid was actually designed for men. The shoe takes a tonal approach as it gets covered in Coral all throughout the upper which has been constructed out of a combination of leather and suede. Keeping things luxurious is the addition of gold on the suede Swoosh, the Wings logo, and the Jumpman branding on the tongue. A Coral rubber sole unit down below finishes things off proper. We’ve seen the original which made a HUGE splash, the 2.0 or “Reverse” colorway, and even the women’s exclusive Satin version. So what’s next? Well Jordan Brand loves the SBB theme so much they’re creating a 3.0 version and up above we get our first look at what is believed to be the shoe.

If this ends up being the actual retail release, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Shattered Backboard 3.0 features a crinkled glossy/patent leather construction all throughout the upper with black dominating the majority of the upper and Starfish (orange) being placed on the toebox, Swoosh, ankle/heel, and the Nike Air branding on the tongues. A Sail/Off-White rubber sole unit caps off the look. Judging from social media, it appears that most sneakerheads are not pleased at all with the outcome, but we’ll save our judgement until better/official pictures surface.

While the Air Jordan Spizike doesn’t generate the attention or demand it once used to, Jordan Brand is not afraid to continue releasing new colorways that will hopefully be embraced by those die hard fans of the silhouette. For the Summer of 2019 the Jumpman has brought back the mash-up sneaker created by Spike Lee and the team with one of the pairs being this Green Glow iteration we see above. Essentially covered in black all throughout the upper. the shoe takes on a mix of nubuck and patent leather on the upper along with black leather elephant print seen on the toe and heel. To cap off the look we see Green Glow detailing placed on a couple of the eyelets, the branding, and the outsole which gives those glow-in-the-dark vibes. Today, Jordan Brand officially announced the 27 North American students of the 2023 Wings Scholars class. Each student will receive a full-ride scholarship for all four years of college to the school of their choice.

The Wings Scholar program, now in its fifth year, was inspired by Michael Jordan?s close identification with the power of education ? he credits his teachers with instilling in him a confidence in the classroom that spilled onto the court.

An overview of The Wings Scholars Program is below:

• Students are nominated by any of the 30 global partner organizations to the Jordan Brand Wings Scholars program.
• The students then complete an application that identifies them as local leaders, showing an alignment with the partner organization’s values, active participation through community service and more.
• A funding gap must also exist at the post-secondary institution in which a student has been admitted, a gap that Wings alleviates.
• A Jordan Brand committee reads the applications and determines the awardees.

Each cohort receives one-on-one mentorship by a Wings advisor and is exposed to internship opportunities with Jordan Brand to help carry on their collegiate studies to completion. The first cohort of the Wings Scholar Program is set to graduate this year.
