Sneaker connoisseur English Sole has provided a detailed look at the very rare Air Jordan 3 “Denim” and “Khaki” samples, as it was originally previewed years ago as a mismatched set, and actually designed that way.

The completed sets featured are noted as a one of three sample, and were constructed to test the variety of materials that were able to be applied on the Air Jordan 3 silhouette, while not actually releasing to the public. The Denim pair flaunts Navy Blue denim uppers with Tan stitching, Tan Jumpman, and Tan heel tabs, alongside Blue suede tongues. In comparison,  the Khaki pair flaunts plush suede uppers, while both models incorporate blue/tan elephant print overlays, and white/gum rubber tooling.

Following its official unveiling 24 hours ago, we now bring you official images of the debut “Center of Gravity” colorway of the Air Jordan 35.

Like those that came before it, the Air Jordan 35 continues to push the limits of innovation and imagination for what?s possible in a basketball sneaker. The design vision saw the style stripped down to its essential technologies in order to minimize weight and maximize performance. Visible in the forefoot and heel are large Zoom Air bags for a responsive midsole, while the upper bears the first ever Flightwire system with a Kurim cage underneath for a locked-in feel. Running the length of the midsole is an enlarged Eclipse Plate 2.0, an updated version of the technology in the AJ34 designed for maximum lateral stability and late-game endurance.

Subtle nods to Jordan heritage include a familiar tongue top, molded achilles foam, and heritage materials like suede for a splash of old school. Even the classic herringbone traction on the outsole harkens to sneakers past, while still providing hard-cutting grip and traction.

Building upon the design of the Air Jordan 34, this debut Air Jordan 35 colorway pays homage to the original Jordan 5 on its 30 year anniversary of defying the game. For someone who consistently defied gravity, the gravitational pull of His Airness? effect on the game has always been felt. Helping to center your gravity when you?re on the court and defy it when you take flight, the Air Jordan 35 “Center of Gravity” represents what it takes to control the game.
