The “UNC to Chicago” theme has landed on the Air Jordan 1 Mid. That said, it does not look like what you expect it to look like.

Previewed below, the Air Jordan 1 Mid GS UNC to Chicago celebrates Michael Jordan’s college and NBA Championships. Said to be a grade school exclusive, this Air Jordan 1 is packed with standout details. The Jordan 1 Mid starts off with a White leather base, which is then offset by the UNC theme on the front and Chicago theme on the rear. Features that really stand out include the Metallic Gold hits on the collars, Swooshes, Wings logo, elephant print overlays, as well as the branded tongue tags that are direct nots to Jordan’s 1982 college win, as well as his six NBA championships. Completing the look is a White midsole atop a gradient translucent outsole that is also displaying the UNC to Chicago theme.

Covered in an official color makeup of Indigo Haze/Fire Red-Metallic Silver-Alabaster-Flint Grey, this new offering of the Air Jordan 5 Low takes on a purple hue all over the upper in a nubuck material along with cream detailing on the inner liner, inner tongue, tongue branding, and the signature shark teeth on the midsole. Additionally, the Air Jordan 5 Low WMNS Indigo Haze will come equipped with a reflective upper. ABOUT THE MODEL: The Air Jordan 1 KO aka AJKO made its debut way back in 1986 when it released alongside the Air Jordan 1 High and Air Jordan 1 Low. Teyana Taylor is no stranger to collaborations. In years past she’s partnered with adidas, Ewing Athletics and Reebok. For 2023, the singer, actress, dancer and choreographer will be teaming up with Jordan Brand to drop her very own Air Jordan 1 High Zoom Comfort 2.

The Teyana Taylor x Air Jordan 1 High Zoom Comfort 2 A Rose From Harlem references Taylor?s 2018 hit record Rose in Harlem. For the collaboration, the Air Jordan 1 High Zoom Comfort 2 is given a full makeover with plenty of added detailing throughout. Done in a Gym Red, Black, Summit White, Earth, and Coconut Milk color scheme, design details include a large Black leather Swoosh with zig-zag stitching on the lateral that extends down to the midsole as well as a Red embroidered Swoosh with Green thorns on the medial side. Elsewhere you will find ?A Rose From Harlem? is printed on the inner ankle flaps, ?TEY? branding on the left tongue tag, Gold plated top eyelets, a Swoosh with thorns on the right tongue tag, a leather tongue, Off-White midsole and small “x” hits on the toe box and side panels.

Jordan Brand is set to drop a new iteration of the Air Jordan 1 High OG Yellow Ochre in 2024.

Not to be confused with the Air Jordan 1 High OG Yellow Ochre that dropped back in 2018, this Yellow Ochre iteration of the model will come dressed in a Yellow Ochre, Black, and Sail color scheme. Yet to be unveiled, current reports suggest that this pair will come in the classic ?Chicago? color blocking while being constructed out of a full leather build along with mesh tongues and lining. You can expect a White base with Yellow Ochre overlays and Black detailing on the Swooshes, ankle, Wings, laces, and lounge labels. A Sail midsole atop a Yellow rubber outsole completes the design. Your customary ?Nike Air? branding on the tongue tags and insoles along with Wings branding on the ankle is also in play.

The Air Jordan 2 Italy is done in a White, Fire Red, Fir, and Sail color scheme that result in an Italy aesthetic that also happens to resemble world renowned Italian fashion brand, Gucci. The sneaker features a White premium smooth and tumbled leather that is then contrasted by the Red and Green accents spotted on the lining, piping, heels, and the Wings branding on the tongues. Aside from the Air Jordan 1 High OG Black Toe Reimagined that’s now rumored to release holiday of 2024, another major rumor that dropped today was that Jordan Brand also plans on releasing a “Reimagined” iteration of the Air Jordan 1 High OG Royal during the last quarter of 2023.

The Air Jordan 1 High OG Royal Reimagined arrive in the fan-favorite Black, Royal and White color blocking. This “Reimagined” iteration of the Air Jordan 1 High OG Royal will be given an all-suede construction consisting of suede panels all throughout the sneaker. Spring 2024 Jordan Brand releases are beginning to leak as one of those pairs that is expected to release is the Air Jordan 6 “Yellow Ochre”. While there are no early images of the sneaker yet, this Air Jordan 6 is expected to take on an official color makeup of White, Yellow Ochre, and Black. The mock-up provided by Sneaker Files & zsneakerheadz shows that the sneaker may possibly take on the “Carmine” color blocking with Yellow Ochre nubuck paneling on the base of the upper and White leather overlays. Yet to leak, the Air Jordan 14 Flint Grey will come dressed in a Flint Grey, Stealth, and White color scheme. You can expect a Grey upper with White accents possibly landing on areas such as the heels, midsole, and on the Ferrari emblem on the ankle.
